DEFENSE

No.

Nobody on this fucking SP staff can miss any fucking bats lately.

How did the ump even miss that? He's out by a half foot.

Got 'em!

Not great, Bob.

We control our destiny.

fucking angels, dogshit team.

Maybe but we lead the AL in RS by 20. How much more offense we need? We need and needed SP, unfortunately so did a dozen other teams and the price was high. Getz decided we weren't really a WS contender even adding a TOR starter, and is anybody thinking he's wrong? The Castillo trade looks bad right now but a long way to go for both sides in that one and at least we were able to dump Seranthony.

No, the only thing that came out negative was that he didn't know a coach's name. That says as much about the Hahn era as anything about Robert imo.

This is the "Yoan Moncada one more night in eastern Indiana" plan. Not really but you know that mofo was always advocating for it. Probably asked Manfred to schedule the Braves.

Tigers lost, helps our playoff chances fractionally. All adds up.

Seems like it, but there's no rush here being so close relatively with an off day. I wonder if the players decide when to leave in a situation like this or if it's management. Maybe a bit of both?

Statcast has him 88th percentile defender and FGs has him 9.6 RAA. His defense is the least of my worries. He's going to have like a 2.5 fWAR season at age 24. He's fine. He's in a slump. It happens. Look at Cal fucking Raleigh.

One of Sam, Colson, Chase is probably the odd man out and out of those guys it's easiest to see Sam imo. Love him to death but not sure he's a legit MLB 2B and in LF his value isn't that great. Other thing I could see would be selling high on Peters for SP and keeping the young IF core together. We'll see, good problem to have.

Probably less than 3 hours total travel time from wheels up to settling into their hotel. They will be fine. I'm sure they are all looking forward to it. I guess only decision is if they want to leave tonight or tmr morning. I'd guess the team decided to leave in the morning, get one more sleep at home.

Bonemer starting in CF tonight.

IIRC we were 7 over .500 for a day, and then promptly got swept. Lets try this again starting with getting to 7 over today.

compared to minors in summer, yes -- it's a fun league, lotta talent mixed with guys looking to press evaluations and teams.

that is a stupid easy swing on a pretty decent pitch. perfect balance.

The Sox are 5-5 in their last 10:

just play .500 and we have the division imo. need to not choke. so far we are doing enough. doesn't seem like a winning streak is happening with this staff. offense is doing their part.

buddy asked me if I was ready for a pennant race and I shrugged him off. I owe him a beer or 10. I've had to turn off several innings my BP is getting too high.

it's a 4 run game, will is rightfully trying to have Taylor limit his innings. I get the decision and and he did the right thing once it became in doubt and burned Taylor regardless. Not many mangagers can do that.
