  1. Not exactly like Collins is Billy going home, LL play.
  2. Probably because he had a huge lead and was leaning, just like the pickoff the next time
  3. totally. the lets go tribe writeup today was pretty funny. it was basically "the Sox are really good" and "Leury Garcia is their weak spot, we have half a dozen Leurys".
  4. Who Jake Lamb, the guy rocking a 142 wRC+? Come on, if there is ONE THING you cannot reasonable critique La Russa on this year it's his lineups. He has pushed almost all the right buttons on who plays and where.
  5. It's actual better to have a decent hitter 9 because it can set the top up. The biggest thing in lineup construction is to avoid putting two really awful hitters back to back.
  6. Nobody wants more foul ground because it pushes fans away from the action, literally. The thing to do is lower the mound and enforce the foreign substance rules. Maybe try the latter first in MLB and the former in the low minors first. Moving the mound would be like raising the basket in hoops will never happen and never should happen.
  7. On the other hand our old friend Omar Narvaez is on pace for around 4.5. Guess his defense has really improved good for him he could always hit.
  8. Guess Kopech's hammy needs another week or so, bummer.
  9. Crazy how many contributors this squad has all down the roster. Kudos to the FO so far they haven't just survived the bad injury blows they have thrived.
  10. At the time FTJ was seen as little more than a long shot big leaguer and a future utility player at best. I think k the lesson might be get better internal scouting, which to be fair it appears the Sox have improved that area.
  11. I just don't want Eloy in the outfield, ever again. Maybe he can learn a little 1B but I honestly doubt it. At most maybe he plays OF twice a week he's just too uncoordinated out there he's a danger to himself and the pitching staff every night.
  12. he does but it's a lot easier in A ball. He'll be alright but he's going to need at least 500 PA to become a good hitter in MLB. He's holding his own now, that's OK.
  13. tripled up the changeup, good job working with collins today.
