  1. His neck is massive, jesus, probably 5 lbs muscle, 10 fat, which hey, who cares, he's a pitcher not a marathon runner.
  2. Wow he's gone full Gio on that delivery.
  3. this thread says "action", make the new one without action, maybe we'll see some action.
  4. He's Ruth at NYS. He's merely mortal on the road. Of course he'd have a similar advantage out to LF in Chicago.
  5. Who would? Both those guys are glass.
  6. Just get rid of it at this point. Covid ripped through the US, at this point 85% of people either have recent antibodies or the vax and boosters. Even Seattle ended it.
  7. That's why it's even more frustrating imo. The hard work is done, the no brainer work is signing a 3 WAR RF and calling it an offseason. It's like you've got a beautiful new car but because you don't want to wash the road salt off it once a week at the $12 wash place the undercarriage is already rusting. Penny smart pound foolish.
  8. I'm not quite where ray is but the fact that the Sox have such great depth already with Burger, Dickman and Leury makes the move for Harrison even stranger. You spent 5.5 million for what? To get a .5 WAR upgrade in theory on the guys you already had? It's not like this is an Emilio Bonfacio -2 WAR situation where you have a smoking crater you need to backfill with whatever scrap you can dig up.
  9. Hernandez was a bad body language guy for sure. Harrison is a decent depth move and a stars and scrubs approach is fine, just sign another star for RF please.
  10. I'm fine with the Harrison signing if RF is significantly upgraded. As to this point, it has not been.
  11. Takes away any upside value on the contract but frankly if the Sox' scouting is confident he'll perform, just give it to him, who cares about two years from now if he's a FA.
  12. Eh, I think it's just Hahn doing what he always does. I don't really think "negotiating in public" is something that moves the needle.
  13. The bullpen "mess" will sort itself out. Get another starter.
  14. damn i feel like that would have been something that both the players and owners would have changed, NBA style where you can buyout someone and take less of a cap hit.
  15. What if they just bought out Kimbrel? Does some of that get written off?
  16. Only guy that isn't is maybe Cowley and he's a POS so I don't trust any of what he says. I wish Chicago had more non mouthpiece types that aren't Joe. Fegan is great but he's a mouthpiece for the most part.
  17. Why don't the Sox just offer him 2 years 60 million with an opt out, boom, done deal.
  18. And one of them is made of glass so more like 1.5.
  19. When you have Jake Burger at 2B depth clearly your roster is complete.
  20. You can't be serious: James Fegan @JRFegan 20m Rick Hahn more or less said White Sox are done adding to 2B mix with Harrison. Mentioned Jake Burger among their 2B depth. Acknowledged that you can essentially never rule out Andrew Vaughn playing anywhere. LF and 3B sound like other spots for Harrison to see time
  21. True, biggest contract in Sox history, to also be fair.
  22. Bold move, we'll see if it pays off for them.
  23. Just once I'd like to see the Sox SET the market instead of reacting to it. Who fucking cares if you overpay a guy by 10 million over the course of a few years? Just get it done, get the guys in camp and let's roll.
