Too soon to panic
Right. And on Twinkietown and other twins forums they knew their club was shit well before the national pundits. we watch this shit every day or close to it, what exactly if the hope for a turnaround, some hypothetical time when everybody is healthy and playing well? The season is 1/3 over, guys keep getting injured and timelines pushed back. there is no full roster coming anytime soon and you'd be a fool to think this oft injured club will sustain health.

Too soon to panic
that's just the function of a mediocre team. You have good pitching and putrid offense. "good at losing" just means good at not scoring enough runs to make leads hold up or not having enough bullpen depth (despite you know, allocating an insane amount of payroll to it) to make a slim lead count more often than not. Or it means making the critical error (because half your roster is a 1B/DH type) and letting the game get away from you in a big moment. Everything adds up to runs not scored and runs not prevented and you do that enough you start to lose more than you win. I'm really not trying to be pedantic or deep here, it's just how games are won and lost.

Zavala, Banks up, Bummer IL, Martin down, Yermin DFA
yermin is part and parcel of everything wrong with this stupid stubborn franchise. to demote the guy and then just have him on the 40 man when you're dropping guys like Gonzalez, COME ON. That said, Yermin can go fuck himself too. Guy is a known team cancer.

Lol, thanks. I hope 40 man concerns haven't influenced a single move but for some reason I feel they have.

Jake Burger has the highest ISO on the team, mercy.

Nobody on this team other than Vaughn and sometimes Burger swings with any fucking conviction. Guys are defeated before they even walk to the plate.

6/9 Games
Get Sosa 100 PA in AAA before the end of July and get him up in Chicago if he doesn't fall on his face. He's dominating AA and the underlying stats don't suggest a fluke.

TLR 2022 Thread
Also shit players tend to make more of both types of error. And thanks to a poor offseason, oft injured players and a manager intent on playing 26 guys every other game, well, it adds up to a lot of mistakes on the field.

Sorry to Soxtalk.
Reminds me me one of the best editions of "the dugout" where a chatting "Mr Met" avatar typed "I hate losing it makes me go home and [kiss] my wife right in the mouth". Maybe not PC enough for today's crowd but it still cracks me up. Someone on a cubs forum had it as their signature for a long time.

I truly think Jerry will make TLR step down after yesterday
Why the fuck am I reading about Bernie Sanders?

I truly think Jerry will make TLR step down after yesterday
with 2 strikes almost ever hitter is leury garcia levels of dangerous. the league usually hits like 200/250/300 with two strikes. it was an indefensible decision, a million times worse than not "defending" Mercedes or any bullshit like that.

Who is Changing Plans? Attending Less Games
bro we have like 3 division titles and 1 WS in like 100 years. We're all fucking diehards at this point.

Who is Changing Plans? Attending Less Games
I can't enjoy sitting down for the games anymore. TLR today was my last straw. There's so many things that need to go right to win a ballgame and having him at manager is tying one hand behind your back. He did dumb shit last year but it was typical "most manager dumb shit", this year he's taken it to a whole 'nother level. As I said the other day, shades of late stage Ozzie where he has completely lost the plot and is playing scrubs every single day high up in the order.

Not a chance I go to see them at T Mobile this year. Oh well, I'll spend the couple hundred bucks elsewhere and enjoy it much more.
