  1. Well, he needs to not foul off cock shots right down the middle to go down 0-2.
  2. It's the OF's job to call off the IF and the IF's job to give way. Man our OF defense is just brutal.
  3. The dumbass org keeps making the same fucking mistake with these DH/1B types. I don't fucking get it. Did they really fucking think Palka was going to ever hit enough to be worth a roster spot? It's laughable.
  4. Yea kinda sucks. I have no idea what else was out there but I'd be shocked if Nova can even produce 120 innings this year of cromulent back end starting.
  5. TAs wife just went into labor so he might go on the paternity list for today and tmr.
  6. Or he's a guy with a timing mechanism and a long ass swing that now has a scouting report on him.
  7. That's fine but play better baseball. Guys can be "too comfortable" -- see Robin Ventura. Sloppy fundamentals and execution have plagued Ricky's teams his entire tenure. I'll tell you one thing: it's easier to swap out the manager than the 25 man roster. If the Sox are floundering in July I'd hope and expect that they make a move towards the future and get a real manager in here. I continue to think Girardi would be great for the young guys.
  8. The only way I have of judging if a manager is good in the locker room is if players have good years for him consistently because they are relaxed and yet ready to play That hasn't happened AT ALL and the team constantly looks completely out of sorts -- like we've seen with all the collisions already. For a so called "Latin Whisperer" the latin guys on the team under him haven't performed that well.
  9. Thanks, I've missed this promo the last two years, finally got it this year when I didn't plan on buying MLB.tv, worked out well. Thanks again.
  10. We have a manager that doesn't seem to have any strengths. He's not good in the locker room, he's not good with the pitching staff and he's not good with lineup construction or in game adjustments. He's just a guy, in a long, long string on the South Side outside the few years Ozzie was engaged and around.
  11. Not a huge fan of moving Moncada up to leadoff after he's had great success to start the year being more aggressive earlier in the count. If he was a 10 year vet sure, but he's not. Hopefully he doesn't alter his approach too much and get out of whack. Curious to see if Rondon can catch some lighting in a bottle.
  12. one of those days where if you're not in the sun you're gonna be freezing your ass off I take it. meanwhile another sunny mid 60s day here in Santa Monica, er, Seattle.
  13. Nice to see the lineup up and down (for the most part) contribute. If you squint you can see the rebuild working on a day like today. That said, mercy, maybe one year the White Sox will start the year with 25 guys on the roster that are actually MLB quality. Too much dead weight on the 25 man again, with most of that coming in the form of Palka and Engel.
  14. i dunno about any long term improvement but if he can come out at 95 more often than not he's got a helluva lot more margin for error.
