  1. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 09:39 PM) I would. Ozzie's supposed to be good at managing people. Rios murdered the ball today on a couple solid pitches for 2 outs, missed a badly hanging curveball, and is the only starter without a hit on the season. Sitting Rios for today and tomorrow to think about how he couldn't catch a break despite how hard he hit the ball would be utter foolishness. That's the opposite of handling people. He hammered the ball but got not hits. Play him and let one of them damn balls fall in.
  2. Can I ask where the Hat came from?
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 08:53 PM) They must have a super narrow definition of "government" My guess is that version is excluding "Teachers" for some reason (these damn women & N***** have wanted to get educated since 1960 and that's caused an increase in teachers). I'm going to blame the Google for bringing that table up first. This one took a lot longer to find. Here's the BLS numbers. Government goes from 14.5% in 1960 to 16% now.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 08:45 PM) I don't think that starts for a while. Actually, I think the "Fox Rule" didn't count here since the game started at 1:00 and the FOX game didn't start until 4.
  5. Why is there no video of this.
  6. Tex to the HOF.
  7. QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 04:03 PM) Those would be unrealistic. @Balta, you are looking at a macro view, within prime drilling areas there are restrictions. Areas here in Texas for example that are too close to this or too close to that. We also have those same issues with alternative energy. So I guess it all fits together. With as many holes as their are in Texas...unless you're advocating drilling in downtown Houston or inside Big Bend National Park, there's really not much extractable resource left. That state has been developed like no where else in the world.
  8. Vizquel ought to play 3b, I'd like to see Dunn at 1b. I'd keep AJ at catcher, there's an offday Monday and the Sox get a few lefties in a row later this week.
  9. Beating the AL Central on the back of "Carlos Quentin". both are improvements.
  10. It really is kinda disturbing how much Santana looks like Victor Martinez in how they stand at the plate. Santana's body is bigger, but man, I did a triple take earlier this game.
  11. Kyle Drabek one-hit that team.
  12. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) Anybody know how many of Jackson's runs were earned? 2 earned runs out of his 3.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:23 PM) You seem like you want him to fail so you can say you're right... Come on Iams, I just didn't want to blow the game, and for an inning or two he was totally off. Really cranked it up towards the end though.
  14. Juan Pierre is hitting the ball harder than he did all last year.
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:17 PM) Any chance the guns in cleveland are a little slow? Or does it seem like each pitcher has lost 2-3 MPH? I want to see Thornton pitch since he is always a consistent 97+. If he is hitting 93-95, then I will be convinced it's a slow gun. I wouldn't be surprised if both the pitchers and the radar guns are slighly affected by the cold.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:18 PM) Seriously? I would guess that means KC has about 25,000 there, which means like 5K here in Cleveland? Wow, that's awful. It's kinda cold there.
  17. Later in this season, Alexei will kill a fastball down the middle like that one.
  18. Paul Konerko continues doing what he does.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 02:56 PM) I think its 100 even. So questionable if you want to bring him out for another this early in the season when the weather isnt warm. After last night's bu llpen odyssey, absolutely.
