  2. Don't you love licking luscious lollipops?
  3. And I suck, again.
  4. Very easy to learn though
  5. This is kinda fun again.
  6. Sqwert, that's not Yoda.
  7. Or Are I?
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 04:32 PM) Could all of these bird incidents be caused by increased solar flares or other solar activity? I read somewhere that there would be increased solar activity this year. No, we have some beautiful systems out there now that measure solar activity. Sunspot activity is increased relative to last year...however, it's no where near peaking yet.
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 04:25 PM) I think that would have been a better argument last year. I don't believe the players can sign under the current CBA, but I could be wrong. If they could, than that would be a huge counterpoint. You are correct. Once the end of Feb. Hits; everything in terms of contracts stops. No free agents can be signed to contracts, no contracts can be extended, no one can be traded. You can probably still retire. There is a clause in the CBA that allows the draft to happen under the previous rules if there is no signed CBA after Feb 28th, so teams can scout players and draft them, but after the draft, everything stops until there is a CBA signed. No OTA's, no workouts in team facilities, the doors are shut and locked.
  10. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 04:17 PM) If I was an athlete coming out of college though, wouldn't you be scared that the potential money given for rookies could be much, much lower than it has been the last couple years. I would look at it as nothing has changed YET, so now is the time. And guys can definitely work out and train privately if there was no season. Obviously it's nothing like NFL practices and games, but look at what (ugh) Tebow did last year before he ever got paid. But rookie contracts won't be able to be signed until there is a new CBA, and presumably whatever new rookie contract rules are written would start with this year's rookies. If they do things the way the should...the big contract for future rookies won't be based on college, it'll be their first extension, which means...the better you are, the more money you get. Hence; practice.
  11. Maybe I are, but what am you?
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) Take the money and run. I still haven't gotten an answer on the "What money" part?
  13. Just add a melody to that.
  14. God save us!
  15. Everyone can sing. "Be our guest, be our guest..."
  16. Could you put that in a song?
  17. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 03:30 PM) Because it's a huge risk. Nothing to gain. Also see Locker, Jake. Actually, this year's different. What happens if he comes out and there's a 6 month lockout? He doesn't practice or have access to training facilities until the lockout ends, then there's another month before he signs a contract...and there's no guarantee that there will even be a season next year. He could quite literally get more practice and playing time in the NCAA next year.
  18. Awesome. We get to watch some bombed soxtalkers try to play the xylophone.
  19. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) What the f***? Terrible decision. Why?
  20. Well, I was probably due.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) A while ago, as in two years ago? As in I checked their 2009 numbers some months ago but during the summer of 2010 when the claim was made that Alexei would see more fastballs if he was hitting behind Pierre and Pierre was running.
  22. Useless waste of effort. Bomb it.
  23. The reason why I ask is...if those guys come out of school and there's no labor agreement, they don't get signed and they don't get paid.
  24. This is a winner.
  25. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 02:43 PM) On ESPN. There will be links soon enough. I would also say this gives the Bills their choice of QBs, if they want one. I can't see the Panthers taking any other QB because the point in taking Luck was that he was a damn near once in a generation QB. The Broncos aren't going to take a QB at this point either. How many of the other QB's will come out?
