  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 04:25 PM) Vick missed a wide open TE for the TD. Briggs was the one outsmarted there.
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 04:21 PM) Come again? The whole "3 and out with a hit on Vick from a 4 man Rush"? part?
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 04:18 PM) Well that is about as perfect of a start as you can ask for. You gotta think this is a "No Respect" game for that Bears defense.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) You boy Rian Lindell just drilled two 49 yarders because of this. Personally, I wouldn't do it if the game is outdoors. No reason to give the kicker a read on what the ball is going to do. Indoors, I say take a shot, but do it WELL BEFORE the snap, so he can't kick it. I know, that's what made me think of that, 2 straight games that's happened and the Kickers made all 4.
  5. I wonder if anyone has done the statistics on whether or not kickers are more likely to make or miss the second kick if the coach calls a TO just before the ball is snapped.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 03:39 PM) Question is, did they leave Matty Ice too long? Since it was 4th down there, they didn't have much choice on how long they left him. A win today and the Bears are firmly in control of the division, thanks to the Falcons.
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 03:24 PM) The shame is, despite the Falcons' ability to run the ball today, the Packers should probably be winning the game. Poor execution in short yardage and some terrible coaching blunders have put them in a hole. Why is anything that hurts the packers considered a "Shame"? This is a Chicago board Anyway...I think it's safe to say that everything you just wrote could be applied as a summary of most of the league this year. A few failed executions and a mistake or two is the difference between a top 10 pick and a playoff birth.
  8. This is a topical AP article running today (Hosted by Huffpo, but from the AP for those who would never acknowledge that site).
  9. We're confused here...virtually?
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 05:13 AM) I don't know what the ultimate prognosis is, but if Mitchell has permanently lost a step or two, it is pretty huge. Phil has to quit crying about the Sox "cash grab" going to Las Vegas to play games and having Mitchell hurt in a game he probably wouldn't have played. He was injured playing baseball. That is what he is paid to do. Isn't the idea to get as much experience for young players as possible? Freak injuries happen. Hopefully Mitchell can overcome this. The AFL was a disaster for him, but he hadn't played at all for a while, so give him a break on that. If he's still slowed during spring training and during the season next year and isn't hitting, then its probably panic time. The AFL wasn't a disaster for him, he played in it.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 01:24 AM) He's definitely forcing more shots this year as a whole but he's still shooting a decent percentage. I honestly haven't seen a lot of this west coast trip though minus the first two or so games so I'll take your word for it. I think some of the shots he's forced have come from the fact that he doesn't have a bailout option if the defense plays well. Put a scorer down low and that might change.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 09:09 AM) Well if he maintains his current production (15 PPG scorer to go along with the boards) then I take it back. But I still view him as a liability overall offensively. I get the intensity, fire, ect. But that's not worth 12-14 million dollars, IMO. In this NBA market, the simple "Ability to be 7 feet" is worth the first $9 million or so.
  13. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 06:19 PM) You're watching too much streaming Trek again. Wrong series, son. Try again.;
  14. Ulysses
  15. QUOTE (IChaseBlackWood @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 05:37 PM) So, I try to get him to get on here and all I get in return is "Babe, I hate the computer." ..ughhh ..I'm working on it! haha Don't worry, we can be creepier when he's not personally here.
  16. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 05:18 PM) I like PK at 2/24 or 3/30, but that's it. I think he reverts to 270/340/500/28/90 I think you're probably right. And I don't really have a problem with that kind of production, as long as we fill either the DH role or the RF role.
  17. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 02:57 PM) I wonder if this was his idea when the Pats got accused of doing it back in 08', or if he is just taking what he learned from Bellichick and bringing it to Denver... If nothing else, they've fired the guy who did the taping and said "Mcdaniels turned down the chance to view the tape". So, if it was organized by him, somehow he got the recording guy to take the fall.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 12:50 PM) A bit of an exaggeration, obviously....but there was a good percentage that was in favor of dealing Paulie in 08' or 09', myself included. Dealing him in a deal that made us better? Sure, I'd have been game for that, but unceremoniously dumping him to get rid of his salary? I don't recall much of that.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 02:45 PM) Really excited for this Bears - Eagles game tomorrow....hopefully one of the things the Bears learned is to push Vick to his right when he escapes the pocket, as he is much less-inclined to throw the ball than when he is scrambling to his left. I think the issue with this is...everyone's been saying this about Vick since the Giants game last week. There's every reason to believe the Iggles will be expecting this.
  21. Kids from my generation think the Eagles are old and yucky.
  22. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 01:50 PM) And they had Damaso Marte And aside from swisher, what do they have in common? Basically all pitchers, bullpen pitchers in fact.
  23. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) Yankees signed (THE) Brian Anderson and Andy Sisco. So...that makes like 3 players that they have recently signed that we used to have? Cotts, Anderson, and Sisco? On top of them trading for Swisher, Boooooone Logan, Javy Vazquez last year.
