  1. Bobby Jenks, see you in middle relief.
  2. For crying out loud.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 9, 2010 -> 05:09 PM) And this is the bottom of the order. With Buck in there...it doesn't really matter. This guy's like Thome against us.
  4. Man, that was our chance to get rid of Buck.
  5. First pitch ground rule double. Yick.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 9, 2010 -> 05:06 PM) He used to be a damn good center fielder. He can still be a decent corner outfielder, I think. It's just that his legs are shot, his speed is completely gone. He's covered a ton of ground this series against us.
  7. Come on bobby...do one easily.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 9, 2010 -> 05:05 PM) He's a damn good outfielder, IMO He covered a ton of ground just to keep that in front of him.
  9. Alexei looking like he's never seen a breaking ball before.
  10. Nice location there Q. If Wells can't get that, no one was getting that. Except maybe Guttierez.
  11. QUOTE (Capn12 @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:50 PM) Nice inning Pena, well done. Oh lord, does that mean youknowwho for the 9th? I'm scared If Bobby blows the save today, he should lose the Closer's spot.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 9, 2010 -> 11:26 AM) Johnson would be a great fit in that offense. He's also be nice here with Rose. Johnson is a decent consolation prize for the Knicks after they miss out on the big 3
  13. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ May 9, 2010 -> 03:11 PM) Mariners fire their hitting coach. Amazing that a team holds their hitting coach responsible. Holds them responsible? I define that as scapegoating.
  14. HR for Flowers, couple of SB's for D2.
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:37 PM) What about De Aza? He'd be a real spark off of the bench for bunting and pinch running. Then our only backup IF would be Omar Vizquel. Besides, De Aza's been hitting .238 in Charlotte.
  16. Beckham's going to wind up getting tossed.
  17. Well, Juan, that's one way to get an RBI.
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ May 7, 2010 -> 01:53 PM) The Cubs are locked into Wrigleyville due to finances and the Sox should be at the Cell for at least another 40 years. Really? The Cell is built to be a 60 year facility? I was figuring by 2020 that the team would start lobbying for a new ballpark.
  19. That's not a good score for the cubs.
  20. Joe Mauer is feeling better and is "Close" to returning according to Gardenhire. He'll be in the lineup against us. Not official, but I have no doubts he'll be there.

So, I rented and watched Transformers 2 tonight...and I just had to add...man, I'm glad I didn't pay for that piece of trash.
  22. The effort to put a large dome on top of the spilling oil has suffered a major, unforseen setback. It's possible this is a total failure. BP seemed very confident yesterday that this was going to work.
  23. Soxnet.net game summary post can be found here.
