  1. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 02:31 PM) Well he gives up a hit to the very first batter he faces while a member of our team A weak hit that happens to go where no one is playing I can live with.
  2. Anyone who's watching, give us their impressions of Pena please.
  3. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 12:56 PM) Did you throw up in your mouth thinking about it? Actually it made me want to do some combination of punching Lillibridge and telling him he owes us 50 pushups every time he hits the ball in the air.
  4. Since we've gone through that decision, I figured some of y'all would enjoy this spectacle.
  5. Dude, you're supposed to announce this on the day of the Jackson memorial or the day before, not 2 days later.
  6. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 02:07 PM) The deal imediately becomes worth it if Halladay signs an entension right away. Not necessarily if it winds you up paying $16 million a year through age 36 or 37 for Halladay.
  7. Joe Smith is in. I didn't know the Cavs re-signed him, I thought his contract was only 2 years when the Bulls signed him.
  8. "It's bacon topped with bacon!" -Actual taco bell commercial just on during the game.
  9. Poreda only threw 46 pitches today before they pulled him. Possible that he's just not stretched out at all.
  10. Peralta with the leadoff triple off of Dotel. Yay! Edit: make it a double and an error.
  11. Dotel in for Poreda? Man, he must not be stretched out at all.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 01:14 PM) Rumor for a Bulls/Portland/Utah 3 way trade. There are fillers but this is the gist of the rumors: Bulls get Boozer, Trade Hinrich, Tyrus, 1st rounder May as well note the Talkbulls thread on it.
  13. Getz 3/3, brings the tying run up. New pitcher for Cleveland.
  14. Colon if he's actually ready and can complete 2 successful rehab starts. Otherwise, it's Poreda's turn to see if he can give a couple good outings, and Richard takes a bullpen break for a couple weeks.
  15. AJ's OPS on the season is now .806. He's only been above .800 once in his career; 2003 in Minny.
  16. I missed McDyess to the Spurs yesterday. The team that really hurts is Detroit; they're now guaranteed an undersized lineup.
  17. Farmer and DJ are complaining about the umps a bit, usually they hesitate to do that unless it's pretty bad.
