So how many times have YOU watched the replay of Anderson's walkoff
Goodwin took over in RF in the 9th after pinch running for Jimenez. Leury then moved to LF. Engel had started the day in RF.

Leury came in defensively for Engel in the 8th inning. Engel was removed due to Groin tightness.

What's the "Empty"? B-R had that classified as a second outing on 6 days of rest.

Do you have a link to the radio call? I haven't heard it.

His stats say you can manage around that, and the playoffs may actually help. He isn’t bad but is iffy on the second night of a back to back, and he has been destroyed 2 of the 3 times this year he had 5+ days of rest. When he’s getting regular work, every other day or couple days, he has just over a .500 OPS against him. A spread out series with extra off days is well set up for these splits.

In 2008 Carlos Quentin was out for the playoffs and September after busting his hand punching something (a bat?) in frustration after a strikeout.

Lynn too. He had a nice conversation with the ump after either the 4th or 5th. It’s impressive no one was tossed on that stage.

Bah, you can’t give your closer 6 days off and then put them out in a save situation without a day in mop up duty to work off the rust first. I feel like we’ve been watching closers implode when they get too much rest for 30 years.
