  1. Because Tepera has sucked 2 days in a row.
  2. Why do you let him do that…
  3. I can’t think of any examples of The White Sox recently bringing an injured player up to the big leagues after only 12 games and then having him get immediately hurt again.
  4. Seby Zavala has now made the official MLB accounts.
  5. To be fair, this is a confusing night.
  6. That was a balk.
  7. Come on Andrew everything else this inning has been kilt.
  8. Terrible night for him, Cleveland was hitting everything, and the manager left him out for a second inning after he had already been hammered.
  9. Drat I thought that was a double off the bat.
  10. So you work for the Australian feds? Well now I’m less intimidated.
  11. Seby Zavala had a .440 OPs coming into this game. It is now .875.
  12. I’m not actually awake right now.
  13. Kopech’s ERA increased by 1.03 runs while I was eating some crackers.
  14. This is not what I expected when I took out the dog.
  15. Really? Had they wanted to the could have had Escobar for a bag of balls back in June. They waited and something better became available, but if that race had closed to 1 game, they could have filled it easily.
  16. Unfortunately in that case the defense is likely playing in, so really good chance the runner is out at home and decent chance at a double play.
  17. I actually like those somewhat since Hendriks is used to pitching 80+ innings a year and he’s on pace for fewer than 70. We paid for the arm, use it - and Tony doesn’t. If I counted correctly, the White Sox bullpen is 14-6 at home and 6-13 on the road. How many of those losses on the road happened because LaRussa was saving Hendriks for a save situation- which only comes in a close game on the road if your bullpen holds in the late inning? A tie game at home in the 9th he will use Hendriks because there’s no save to be recorded. So this could really help with the weakness the Sox have in road games.
  18. I don’t know if anyone has said this one but I haven’t seen this yet. One other benefit? It’s LaRussa proof. There’s no more “hey I have to see if Evan Marshall can handle the 8th inning against Trout and Rendon” or “I can’t pitch Kopech today in the 8th what if I need a long reliever 2 days from now” or “sure Bummer needs work but I might need him in the 8th so I have to save him” or “I have to use Hendriks as the runner in the 10th.” We won’t lose a tie game in the 9th because LaRussa is saving his closer for a save situation because he can still have one to collect the stat. This clears out like half of the items in my WTF was LaRussa thinking list. I’m sure it’s still possible for him to blow a game with Ruiz on the mound in the 8th for reasons no human will get, but over this season ending LaRussa bullpen confusion losses would be like 3 or 4 more wins easily. Maybe more.
  19. A whole week basically? Put him on the IL and give him 10 days, and call someone up so we have some depth. And send him to Charlotte for 2 or 3 more days to get in better baseball condition prior to calling up this time.
  20. He’s played 7 games, please don’t rush him, we saw the risk with Eloy already.
  21. Oh definitely. Frazier makes sense if you’re up 1 game in your division and need every hit. I also do wonder if “Frazier has never been anywhere this good and we want to have some confidence in what we paid for next year” fits in.
