I was watching the White Sox vs. Angels ALCS Game 5 on the MLB Network, and on the ticker there was a quote from Carlos Zambrano. Something to the degree of "I want to retire when my contract is up in 2012 so I can watch my girls grow up." Do you actually believe him???

In the Daily Herald today there is a column that says the White Sox are open to bringing back Frank Thomas if he wants to come. But is this just a move to let him retire with the White Sox or will he actually play?

If Josh Fields can't handle the hot corner, which he really cannot do, who is the better option at third? Would you rather see Slayer Beckham come up and play third base, eventhough it is not his natural position? Or do the Sox bring up the 20 year old wonder Dayan who just raised his batting average to .270? The trade off for each one is that Beckham is a good bat but is going to be out of position, while Dayan is a natural third baseman but has had his struggles in Double A. I want the (un)Becks up with the big club but I do see the value of bringing up Dayan instead. Does this post serve any real purpose and does there need to be consideration between the two players?

Is this finally the year Mark Buehrle wins a Cy Young award to go with his awesome career highlights? He is quietly 5-0 and has the control to contest for the award. Not to mention he "knock on wood" has never had a trip to the DL in his career, makes him a solid canidate. It is about time a class act guy like Mark get the national attention as being THE best pitcher for a season.
