Thats another frustration. The pitcher we faced today absolutely sucks. I get so tired of Hawk making the no name pitchers out to be the second coming. Well, in all fairness, what's Hawk's alternative? He can't say "this pitcher sucks, why can't they get any runs?", so he's gotta be more PC and say "this guy's bringing it today". And a lot of times, that what happens -- we seem to run into no name guys that try to make a name for themselves at our expense. It's really odd, because our offense is very good, but it seems to happen an inordinate amount of times.

Well of course -- a shot at redemption.

Nope. I started "whinning" (the correct spelling is "whining", but I won't complain) because a post of mine was moved because it "didn't apply to White Sox baseball", and then the very next day I see a hockey post at the very top of the screen. If that's the way this board is run, that's fine, but don't deny that it's not hypocricy.

If you'll read what I said IN CONTEXT, I called the fans calling for Manuel's head, Carlos' trade, and D'Angelo's demotion unintelligent fans. It is way too early to say he is out a month or two, a serious shoulder injury means he is done for the season. Hopefully you're a different face-to-face, otherwise the people who "know you in person" probably don't like you very much. ask em.. they will tell ya........... Yeah, 90% of the posters here are spazzing out. I've been defending the Sox, but some people don't seem to appreciate that. Guess you can't please everyone.

Yeah, but he went 0-4, and that's all that matters, right all of you non-fans? The fact that he helped save 2 runs means nothing. Sad how some people overlook the good things a person does in a game and instead focus on the negative.

And finally, my skin is plenty thick. After the game, I said that the Sox got their asses handed to them today, which was a very true statement. I didn't fly off the handle and fire JM, trade Carlos, and send down D'Angelo like some "fans" in here did. I can hang just fine, madam.

Heh, cooled off "a bit"? I'd say he cooled off a lot. And I agree that if D'Angelo doesn't perform well for a prolonged time, Miles should get an opportunity to prove himself (provided he's playing well in AAA, of course). But obviously, it's absurd to suggest that after 1 GAME he should lose his job. That's what some people said, and probably even more feel, and IMO those people are a disgrace to us knowledgeable Sox fans.

Perhaps you haven't read every post in this thread, so I will not crucify you for not knowing the facts before speaking. There was 1 person who suggested certain players not get paid for today's game, and another who said Manuel should be fired and Lee should be traded. If you agree with any of those comments, more power to you, but I feel you too would be wrong in feeling that way. And there is a big difference between venting about a loss and saying that the team sucks. A difference that can be seen by most rational people. IMO, if some of you have been Sox fans "since before I was born", you should know better than to freak out after 1 game. If not, be prepared for a lot of frustration, because even in a good season, there are going to be MANY games in which we play poorly. That's the nature of the sport.
