  1. You have been saying WAIT and see since KC opener at some point waiting has to end. So far I'd say there have been 4 or 5 moments where I've thought "This could be the turning point", and today was the most recent one. The HUGE grand slam by Carlos, coupled with Crede's game-winner in the 12th have me VERY cautiously-optimistic. If we don't respond with 4 wins in our next 6 games or so, we will have wasted the momentum. We're playing awful, and I'm looking for a bright spot dude -- just shut the hell up if you don't like optimism, and go into your corner and think negative thoughts if you want. Either way, you are not a Sox fan, and IF things turn around, I will remember your comments over the past couple of days.
  2. Pressure to perform NOT in mopup duty with is all he is good for. Whatever dude. A guy has 1 off day, and suddenly he's PE #1. :fyou for being so negative and fickle. Why don't you find a different team to support? The Sox don't need nor want negative assholes like you.
  3. Your sarcasm is grotesque. He's simply asking if this come-from-behind victory to salvage a game in a series in which we looked DEAD could be a starting point for better things. I think it COULD be. Like I said before, we've said that many times so far this year, so let's just wait and see what happens in Toronto and Cleveland. Emotional wins such as today's can do wonders for a team, though. It wouldn't be the first time a game like this kick-started a team -- whether it's against the worst team in the league or the best.
  4. "Pressure"? He had a 2-run lead against the worst team in baseball. What pressure was there? He just had a bad day -- nothing less, nothing more. After nearly 3 months of pitching very well, he's entitled!
  5. And would you stop repeating the same s*** over and over again? If this team is so bad, just leave this board. Why come here is all you're going to bring is negativity and comments that are geared at running down the Sox and those who are still hopeful that things will turn around? I would hope you have better things going on in your life, but apparently not.
  6. Well, we came back from a 3-run defecit, then we won it after it had been tied. The thing I like is that in the last week or so, we've shown some life after getting down. We came back from 5-1 down against the Jays, and now today we came back after it looked like we were dead. We're starting to turn the corner, but it's a LOOOOOOOOOONG curve indeed.

    LOL

I'm watching the Royals/A's game (KC up 3-1 in the 8th), and they had a commercial where they ask all the A's players what kind of animal they would want to be. At the end, Miguel Tejada says "A donkey", and the A's player he was sitting next to starts laughing his ass off. , funny stuff.
  8. Norton with a game winning bomb!!!!
  9. When did the Tigers bring Greg Norton in to play 3rd?
  10. What are you talking about? Marte threw 24 pitches in 1 inning. Did you want Manuel to bring him back out? So far, I'm very satisfied with the way that this game has been managed (not played...managed). The only mistake I've noticed was Sandy not bunting in the 2 on, 0 out situation.
  11. Nice diving stop by D'Angelo, but an EXTREMELY nice play by Miguel -- right where he should be. Great awareness by the rookie!
  12. Would be nice if we could FINALLY capitalize on a Tiger error. Let's go Carlos!
  13. Coming into today, Bagwell had 11.
  14. Not counting today's action... NYM -- 53 GIDP CHI (NL) -- 50 GIDP NYY -- 48 GIDP SOX -- 47 GIDP Can't find stats on individual players, but I'd say if he's hit into 11, he's leading the world.
  15. That chick was really cute. She's probably got hidden tats and piercings, though.
  16. VERY fast and effective inning for Billy. If need-be, he'd be available for the 11th, as he only threw 7 pitches. Nice job!
  17. WOW! Tony G with a nice play to get over there, then a tough pick and a tough running throw to get the guy by 3 steps. That was pretty!
  18. Jason was right on 2 accounts...Olivo in to catch, and Koch in as well.
  19. What else is new? Heh. Anyway, who do we bring in for the 10th? Marte threw 24 pitches in the 9th, so it's very unlikely it would be him. Most likely it'll be Glover or White.
  20. Hopefully not. Let's go Carlos, end this now!
  21. GREAT bunt on that one. Sandy limping on his way back to the dugout...hope he's OK.
  22. I was thinking the same. I know Higgy has a great arm and they don't want to make the first out in that situation. Better safe than sorry, I suppose.
  23. WTF? I thought Joe Joe had speed? I thought that was a double all the way. Anyway, great job of hitting by the kid, and now let's see if we can manufacture another run.
  24. Whew. I thought that double by Higginson was gonna be gone. Nice job by Damaso of k'ing Pena and getting out of the jam. Now let's see if Borchard, Alomar, and Jimenez can get a run across the plate.
