  1. I agree. I want all the Burger I can eat.
  2. I take back everything I’ve ever said these last two hours about Romy in LF
  3. And there it is. Graveman looking electric, and Grifol yanks him for Bummer. For a damned lefty lefty matchup. to quote Twin Peaks “It is happening again”
  4. If Vaughn can find his home run stroke, we might have a complete player on our hands.
  5. Given our bullpen, why shouldn’t he throw more than 100 pitches?
  6. If you have Romy and Eloy in the lineup, and they’re each playing a corner spot…why on earth would you have Romy in left and Eloy in right? This question needs to be asked 1000 times in the post game no matter what the outcome is tonight.
  7. Might as well have a mildly humorous game thread title; it might be all we have left.
  8. Probably Boilermaker by Jesus Lizard, because it has to be a Chicago band.
  9. Look, I like Burger and want him to hit, and think he deserves a real part time shot this whole year to play a little DH. That being said, let’s be real. Burger hit a solo shot, then had an error on a routine play that should have been the third out, and the next batter hit a triple. So he got a point then gave back 2. When you say “ever,” did Moncada not care during the 2019 season?
  10. Was Tim Anderson ever really projected to be a this good of a major league player by anyone? Is he a success story or a failure story? Moncada still is around a 3.5-4 WAR per 162 player. I still have confidence if he’s feeling good and playing he will rake, but that’s what’s missing for me. I don’t mind him being a 10 HR guy if he’s hitting .260 sporting an on base .350. I think the little injuries and illnesses go to his head quite a bit.
  11. I disagree. Theres certainly nothing wrong with Robert’s talent, There’s nothing wrong with Anderson’s talent. There’s nothing wrong with Eloy’s talent. I’ll get heat for this, but yes, there’s nothing wrong with Moncada’s talent. They simply can’t stay healthy, can’t put it together, and in Moncada’s case, he’s a bit of a headcase and a primadonna.
  12. Except both of these things can be true: 1) Tony La Russa was absolutely overmatched as a manager and made poor decisions throughout his Sox tenure that limited this team AND 2) Rick Hahn sucks at drafting and sucks at acquiring talent and this group doesn’t play well together and is talented but doesn’t know how to live up to it.
  13. I came back from Galena this morning through pretty moderate rainfall almost the entire way. Im surprised they delayed this, because I would think worse weather is coming…
  14. well at least someone responded finally ?
  15. I want someone to photoshop a team image with an oversized, faded image of Leury's face behind all of them, looming overhead. That's going to be 2023 in a fucking nutshell. Can't win with this dogshit org assembling patchwork AAAA pieces to cover the "talented" mount rushmore of injuries
  16. You know what I loved about this lineup? ...
  17. Why on earth would Colas sit today. That's the biggest head scratcher of them all. It's a righty pitcher, we have a day off tomorrow, he's been one of your most consistent pieces. Pedro really knows how to kill momentum with these guys and these rest days. Just play them. Jeez.
  18. Why wouldn’t you DH Sheets, put Colas in right, put Yaz at catcher? Why Seby?
  19. I think we posted at almost the same time ? mods please delete my game thread
