  1. Just terrible ABs by Sheets and Grandal.
  2. It’s like this organization is allergic to abandoning the concept of “grinderball”. I’m going to tweet at all the beat writers every morning until he’s benched to ask when Everyday Elvis and his .379 OPS gets a day off while Moncada and Robert are babied
  3. We need Wild West style posters with red Xs for all the DFAs
  4. How many day games are we going to play? Yeesh.
  5. Glancing at the league leaders in PA/AB, I can’t get a clear idea for whether these scheduled days off, especially for younger players, are normal league wide or if the White Sox are an anomaly. It seems like some teams have 5 players that have played every single game (TOR, CLE, SEA to name a few), whereas the Sox have just 3 (Anderson - who was ejected in one, Andrus, Colas - who PH in a couple of his). The Rays also only have 3 players who have hit in every team game. Can anyone with access to more advanced ways of aggregating stats share whether the Sox are in step with the rest of the league on this, or if they are resting players more than average?
  6. 40-50 games seems to be about what it takes to see where a team might be at. I think we all have a right to be very frustrated given the last two seasons, but the fact is we still have a very talented team that is certainly capable of winning 90 games in a weak division…even if they start something like 22-28, because getting Hendriks and Crochet back plus adding relevant bullpen and bench pieces at the deadline could truly turn this into a very good team that hits its stride at the right time. It’s very tempting to want to be right about this team being bad, but it’s just too early to know with a group with this much raw talent, and that may not be a bad thing.
  7. 1983 team started 16-24. 2008 team was 14-17 at one point.
  8. Moncada now 1-14 since Grifol benched him for a scheduled day off. This is not a good look.
  9. I miss Hawk today, because at least he would have had a on-air meltdown about these umps and called out this bs
  10. and now Laz is squeezing the Sox. You can’t have one inch of shoe on the grass if you’re a second baseman, but the strike zone can be literally freaking anything. Anything at all from batter to batter. Great job idiots
  11. I have to say this defacto three headed approach to DH so far this year has resulted in some good hitting that is designated
  12. Elvis and the Umps trying everything possible to win this game for the Bucks today
  13. Elvis got screwed there, but it’s time to bench him. Past time. Put Romy at 2B.
  14. So are we off of hating Kopech and back to hating the offense now? Should I cue the Corpseball greatest hits? Hard to keep track of who of our people to hate in these game threads, it all moves so quickly!
  15. Yes by all means let’s sit Robert while Andrus continues to play every day Grifol said Moncada’s day off the other day was not due to the toe, just a scheduled day off….and since that day off he’s 1/10 How about we just leave the hot bats in the freaking lineup every day until they cool off?
  16. It’s just been a crazy week and a half. It’s hard to get a real sense of this team’s identity, but wow do they seem to have an offensive juggernaut. There’s an edge to them that hasn’t really been there since 2020 or early 21. Pitching looks uneven but they shouldn’t be this bad.
  17. I see Elvis is still immune to having days off, unlike literally everyone else. Can’t someone ask Grifol what gives?
  18. Andrus can’t even hit in a game like this.
  19. Alright I’ll bite. How does Pedro Grifol manage this game differently with this pitching staff? Lucas pulled in the first? Who comes in when?
