  1. It feels so cool to actually mark out for a wrestler again.
  2. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) It sounds electric. Wouldn't it be great if instead of Bischoff coming out to be Hogan's guest, it is Shane O'Mac? That would definitely put them on the map IMO. Even I'll admit that that would blow my mind. Too bad I won't be tuned in to see it, haha.
  3. CryptVill, it honestly seems like Vince McMahon personally did you wrong.
  4. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) You took everything completely out of context, I am by no means a TNA Mark, this is my first show I've ever watched. They have dropped the ball. This is where we have a problem. Rating a WWE Diva's match over this is a retarded, delusional fanboy comment. I think he was being sarcastic. I'm not sure anyone could actually rate a Diva's match at all.
  5. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 08:36 PM) I'm actually interested. I think TNA is slowly building up storylines instead of blowing their whole wad tonight. They did drop the ball on the first match, but the women's match was way better than any WWE Divas match and half of the men's matches. Am I the only person who doesn't give two s***s about how good women's matches are? The only thing I may pay attention to is how good they look physically. I have never been entertained by a match of only women.
  6. QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 08:15 PM) and here comes Jeff Hardy fittingly wearing a Tool shirt Haha.
  7. QUOTE (heirdog @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) Yes, I think the people that question Frank's HOF credentials look at the 2003-2007 Frank Thomas and think he's a glorified Jack Cust and forget the monster he was for the majority of his career. That, and it also seems that the vast majority of other teams' fans believe he was on steroids based solely on his size.
  8. I'm actually excited to watch wrestling on a Monday night. This hasn't happened since grade school.
  9. QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 02:40 PM) awww man but the other thread was so big Exactly. I don't want to see it go. I like having the biggest thread.
  10. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) It closed in 1999 and was demolished a couple years ago to make room for yet another friggin' Wal-Mart. The oter one I remember going to as a kid was at around 75th and just off Western. Can't remember the name and I know it was a big flea market spot as well. I'm sure it's long-gone as well. I know where you are talking about, and I think it's one of those giant churches or something now.
  11. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jan 2, 2010 -> 04:43 PM) Why are folks so anti--Sox veterans? Generic production from Konerko? I have to disagree. And Peavy does have to show us what he has and do it for a full year. I think he can, but we need to see it I'm not sure what you don't understand. Look at Konerko's production in the last three years. In comparison to other first basemen in baseball, those numbers seem rather mediocre or maybe worse.
  12. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 29, 2009 -> 07:58 AM) The Kite Runner was good but not up to the hype it got. Seemed like another one of those "the book was better" movies. I think the king of all of those types of movies is The Running Man. I couldn't put that book down. There has never been another book that I was so into reading, but the movie was nothing like the book. I can't even emphasize enough how different they are to anyone who has seen the movie but not read the book.
  13. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 28, 2009 -> 02:32 PM) A couple of old ones that I've watched again recently: 'In Bruges', gets better each time. 'Made' with Vince Vaughn, pretty funny and must hold the record for having the F word used most often in the history of film. Love it.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 28, 2009 -> 11:55 AM) Watched a lot of stuff on netflix instant watch over the past week... Food Inc: Very good documentary on food. A must see. Quarantine: Surprisingly solid horror film. Barry Lyndon: Finally got around to seeing it. Very long but fantastic. Best in Show: Seen this one quite a few times already and love it. Screened it for my daughter who's never seen it before. Garden State: Awesome. The Wackness: Pretty meh although I liked the soundtrack and Ben Kinglsey's character. Also, have tickets for Avatar at Navy Pier Imax tonight. Ever see Sexy Beast?
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 22, 2009 -> 01:09 PM) Something the Sox have done is winning or in second in every one of those polls. Well, they're the only major team to actually have done something this decade, so that's probably the reason.
  16. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 21, 2009 -> 06:50 PM) I can't believe how good the reviews have been for Avatar. The previews looked like it was just a big long video game. I might have to go see it. Which is both good and bad, IMO. I thought there was a good chance I'd hate Avatar, or at least be let down a lot. It was one of the best movie experiences of my life. It's not the best movie I've ever seen, or even close, but it was like my mind was constantly being blown by the amazing visuals. You have to see it in Imax 3D.
  17. I didn't know that many people still watched Survivor.
  18. If you have a chance to see Avatar in Imax 3D, I strongly urge you to go see it as soon as possible. It's safe to say that my mind was blown, and not much has that effect on me.
  19. Does anyone else almost always wake up feeling guilty after a night of drinking? I don't know why, but I always feel like I did something wrong.
  20. Supposed to see Avatar in Imax today, but I really would rather just lay around all day and do nothing.
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 16, 2009 -> 05:37 PM) If anyone but Lithgow wins the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama, the awards show should be cancelled. I knew it was a huge pick-up the second they announced it. But screw the Golden Globe, he should get another Emmy.
  22. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 07:56 PM) The movie Doomsday was spectacular. I couldn't help but enjoy it. I recorded it when UVerse offered free premium channels over the Thanksgiving weekend, and didn't have a chance to watch it until now. I may never delete it from my DVR. If you enjoyed Road Warrior, Dawn of the Dead, and 28 Days Later you'll appreciate this film. I liked it, but I mean, really?
