QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) How about everyone walks away from the keyboard for a couple seconds and comes back sans the chips on their shoulders? And get your ass voting for AJ.

AJ better f***ing win this thing. Putting so much effort in, it would suck a lot to lose.

GAME THREAD 7-6-06 SOX vs Orioles
Milkman delivers replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in 2006 Season in Review
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 02:43 PM) That was the game where he was so bad he came down with Cliff Politte/Glendon Rusch/Mark Mulder disease and was DL'd for a significant period of time. I remember Uribe hitting a big 3 run HR off him and Frank going deep as well. He was absolutely horrid. Yep, I just checked. His outing Vs the Sox last year was less than spectacular. (L) 5.1 IP, 7 H, 9 R, 7 ER, 3 HR, 1 BB, 3 K That looks like a Javier Vazquez line. ZING! Now go get 'em, Javy. -
Rally Monkey Humpers, ha.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) Well, I can pretty much gaurantee an AJ Pierzynski victory at this point in time. How so? QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 02:26 PM) Well I've amassed well over 500 votes thus far this week...should I continue onward? When you hit 1,000, you can talk...woman.

Whoa, they're pitching Ortiz? I didn't realize they actually signed him. I thought it was just speculation. How did Ortiz pitch against us in that series last year? -
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 12:00 PM) LOL! Either that or he's sippin on some JD and needs a minute to collect himself. Hawk: Take over DJ...I'm...in the bag. DJ: Flyball... ::spectacular catch:: DJ: Caught.

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 11:46 AM) I voted for him once. He's good. He could help the AL win the all-star game and have home field advantage for the world series. Not that AJ couldnt but. All i was saying is that I want AJ to win and i probably voted for him 50 times or so. BUT if he loses i want Lriano cause he's good. No offense, but that's it?

I see no one got the Simpsons reference. -
Can someone that liked Goldberg explain to me why you liked him? QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) When I was growing up my fav was Hacksaw Jim Duggan with Junkyard Dog as a close second. Hacksaw gets the nod cause he always used to crack me up with that whole HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO routine of his. I also used to love it when Jesse the Body and Vince McMahon used to announce the matches. Ventura always was like "LOOK HERE McMAHON!!!" U-S-A U-S-A U-S-A

Who will be the next reliever turned into gold by KW?
Milkman delivers replied to beautox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(beautox @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 11:37 AM) i was thinking the same thing, but then again, who would've wanted Javier Lopez, Jeff Bajenaru & Damaso Marte ? Well, Lopez and Baj had really good minor league numbers, if I'm not mistaken. And Marte might have seemed to some to only need a change in scenery. Cliff Politte is obviously hurt, Hermanson is just coming back from a possible career-ending injury, Logan is like 12-years-old, Redding has sucked for a long time. I don't know anything about Reynoso, so I just assume he's the one with the most value. -

Milkman delivers replied to beautox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don't think anyone wants any of those guys. The best bet would be Reynoso then? -
When KW made this trade, I said that Thornton would be a huge contributor to the bullpen by the season's end. Hey, I'm only right once in a while, so I have to point it out whenever I can

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) No. Not sure what day it is, but it's not today. Oh, I was a little confused. I pay zero attention to this thing. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 04:08 PM) France v. Italy, :headshake :puke :puke Which country do you hate more, Italy or France? -
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) I also hate Goldberg for the monster push that he got when he didn't even know that many moves. Not to mention him stiff-kicking Bret Hart at a PPV, giving him a concussion and knocking Bret out of the wrestling profession forever. And Lesnar is another overrated hoss pushed by Vince to insane proportions. That was totall bulls*** that Hall and Hennig got released and Lesnar kept getting his push. Although the funniest part about that flight from Hell story is the detail where Ric Flair supposedly wore nothing but his robe and was flashing people while spinning "it" around. Haha, yeah. I heard that Flair one, too. Goldberg was a true piece of s*** in my book. I remember the way he ended Bret's career, and then he left WWE because they made him seem human (at least that's what I heard).

Wait, is the championship on right now? -
Just wondering, who is everyone voting for in the NL?
-
QUOTE(joeynach @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) My case is that vote for the guy if he deserves to go. I did not vote 100x for Juan Uribe and Brian Anderson becuase they are on my team. You either deserve to go or you dont. Varitek is a sub .250 batter this year and was leading the catcher votes until basically the last day, thats a joke hes having an awful year and his name should have been no where near the top. I would not vote for AJ over and over if he didn't deserve it, but he does, hes hitting .327!!! Is your memory short. I remember in the 90s all the all star teams were basically the yankees vs the NL. Torre was the manager of all the all star teams and brought in a ton of yankee players. The difference is at least all our guys are having all star caliber years and deserve. I think i remember the yankees having like Oneal, Tino, and bernie all go when they were hitting like .270-.280 with avg homer and avg rbi. No, it's not. You must not understand what I was saying at all.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) YOU CAN USE THE SAME EMAIL FOR ALL YOUR VOTES, THERE IS NO LIMIT. Thank God, because I must be nearing 1,000 votes all together. That would make me cry. And AJ better damn well win, because I haven't stopped voting today.
-
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) :headshake Anyways, I ran out of e-mails so I'm using e-mails from buddies who are cubs, yanks, and boston fans...Hope they enjoy the MLB promotional e-mails they'll be getting... Wait, they have a limit on how many times you can vote with an email? It hasn't told me once.
-
If you think for one second that fans of other teams would vote for the more deserving player if the situations were reversed, you're dead wrong.
