I feel bad for Jose because this start is just like a whole bunch from last year. He threw a good game, but the offense either didn't score enough runs for him or the bullpen blew it. Let's just please score some runs here.

Not to sound too critical
Can't this just be done in the game thread? I mean, it just happened. Even without reading the game thread, I would know that it's being discussed there.

That's 3 DP's this year already? Did someone say the record was 35 by Rice? That has a really good chance of going down.

Some runs would be nice. Contreras deserves them. Let's not screw him like we did repeatedly last year.

WWE Interesting Fact
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 09:21 AM) I know, thats is some funny s***, pun intended. And if that didnt get him suspended, you gotta wonder what he did this time. The guy thinks he is fabulous though, what do you expect. So, I guess his actual personality shows through the caracter?

WWE Interesting Fact
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:42 AM) I cant wait to find out what constitutes as "unproffessional conduct" from a WWE wrestler. I know that sometime last year before Wrestlemania Orton was in big trouble for pulling a prank on a Diva which turned out to be him s***ting in her travel bag. And this was a girl who turned him down, so it was pretty bad for her for a while(so they say), I guess he wouldnt leave her alone until WWE had to intervene. HAHAHAHAHA

WWE Interesting Fact
QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 10:24 PM) Mysterio is dropping the belt to Randy Orton friday night on Smackdown.. Also.. Addy what your dad heard could possibly be true except for I dont believe they go through the matches and rehearse.. I think it would be kind of hard for Edge and Mick Foley to practice going through flaming tables till they get it right.. A lot of things are prolly talked about in advance but I dont think they would risk injury just practicing before the actual event.. My aunt works for a cable company in Chicago and she got to meat Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury and got to hold one of the tag titles.. Im one of the biggest wrestling fans there is btw, but I agree it has gone downhill since its prime.. I miss Razor Ramon I miss Perfect

WWE Interesting Fact
All I can say is that I hope Rey Mysterio loses the belt as soon as possible. The whole thing concerning him has felt dirty since everyone and their brother knows that he's only getting this chance because Eddie Guerrero died. It was nice to see Mysterio win the Rumble, and I honestly enjoyed it a lot (mainly because he eliminated HHH and Orton). But, this has been enough. Mysterio isn't someone who should be carrying the title. I only hope they have him lose it soon.

Gameday says Sabathia left due to an injured chest. Can someone fill me in on that?

Hafner smack
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 10:03 AM) I'd have my face in the toilet too. I'd expect retalitaion for the Haffner plunking. Intentional or not, there will be pay back. Thome better wear two elbow guards when facing the Indians. Eh, I doubt Thome would be the likely target of such retaliation. The fact that he's such a well-liked guy throughout the league, coupled with the facts that he was almost traded back to the Indians and that he played for them for so long, just seem to make him almost immune. Would anyone really want to hit Jim Thome. The guy's a saint. I'm sure they'd go after someone like Konerko, or even AJ.

Julian Tavarez vs Joey Gathright
QUOTE(redandwhite @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) Not to try and justify the situation in Tavarez' favor, but the man is clearly a guy who gives an arm and a leg at all times, a 'rudy'-like player if you will. Those are great qualities to have in a player but when it turns into something like this, you can only place blame on Tavarez. The punch was completely unneccessary and immature, and should never have happened. I don't think he's a piece of s*** because friends of mine who have interacted with him in the past say he's an excellent, down to earth guy, but these situations that put his own teammates (Jon Papelbon) in harms way for potential injury have got to stop. It was wrong, he shouldn't have done it, he'll be suspended for it, and thats that. I just am thankful that noone was hurt. I don't know if Rudy ever tried to punch out an opponent. But if he did, I imagine he could throw a better punch than that sissy s*** Tavarez threw.

Game Thread: Sox versus Cubs, 3/27/06, 2:00 PM
QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) Yes, Maddux hit Dye. Thome's HR was to RF. Man, I hate Maddux so much. I used to love that guy, but I've come to think of him as a prick the last couple years. I really do hope retaliate at Blanco. Maddux doesn't just hit people after giving up a HR on accident.

More roster cuts made
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) Another reason they cut Nelson loose is because Josh Hancock, whom they claimed off waivers from the Reds, is also pitching lights-out this spring. He's younger (27) than Nelson (39) and will earn less money than him. The Cardinals just didn't feel like paying Nelson $800,000 when they had a younger alternative who is also having a great spring... http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/NASApp/ml...t=.jsp&c_id=stl Is Hancock the guy the Reds released because he's fat?

Thome a HOF'er??
QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 01:52 PM) Who else, besides Frank, do you consider a potential HOF'er? I don't see Canseco, McGriff or Gonzalez making it. I would guess he has to mean Gonzalez. Canseco clearly has no shot at all, and McGriff just isn't a HOFer.
