"One" by Metallica would be awesome, but the part that really pumps you up doesn't come until about the end. That whole part, though, is f***ing great.

QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 07:20 AM) Since Hawk calls him Bad Bobby Jenks, I submitted my answer of "Bad To The Bone" by George Thoroughgood. If you've never heard it, give it a try. The opening guitar is powerful. No offense, but who hasn't heard Bad To The Bone?
-
Hoffman and Rivera already have the two best entrance songs with Hell's Bells and Enter Sandman. Jenks would have to go with something by Metallica or Mudvayne or something.

It's sad to see a legend go. RIP Kirby Puckett.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 11:38 AM) Why am I still watching Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump over and over and over and over again? Someone make a good movie FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. It's been like 10 years. Exactly.
-
Did they do the "In Memorium" part yet?
-
KW and Beane are both male GM's of AL teams. Frightening...
-
And those 96 wins have brought zero playoff series wins.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) Can you blame them? It's a simple decision, since nearly everyone of the candidates are pure crap. Lopez may be the lone pitcher with consideration. That, and don't forget that, barring an unusual injury, all of our starters are 200+ inning guys.

Just gonna go with my favorite one again and say Midnight Rider.
-
I really like Walk of Life.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 01:02 PM) Well we're not champs without him. It's give and take. And who's to say that the Diamondbacks or Rangers wouldn't have won the Wor...HAHAHA Sorry, couldn't even finish that.
-
I think he signed a minor league deal with the Reds.

Clicking on one of the pinned threads in the Filibuster has been causing a pop-up to appear on my screen for a few days now. I did it a second ago, and it happened ago. Not sure if that's one of the problems, just letting you guys know.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 11:53 AM) I'm still not even sure who's going to be playing on each team. And that is the reason I'm going with Cuba. They're already good, and they've probably known their team forever. That's gotta help since they'll be working as a team and the other countries are kind of throwing teams together.

It would be fitting if Frank wasn't there and didn't contribute at all. You know, like the entire postseason and most of the regular season.

It was PK's GS for me. I want to say Pods' homer. I really, really feel like that should be my choice, but it's not. The GS caused me to scream, jump up, run around high-fiving anyone, etc. By the time Pods had his moment, I had already experienced the highs and lows, and I just didn't know how to react to it. I stood up the second it left the bat, said, "no way...OMG," and then I walked around stunned. I guess I have to pick PK's shot because it came first.

Phil's is my usual target, but I might be a little biased since I've been getting it for as long as I can remember.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 05:22 PM) STFU. I don't give a s*** if you believe me. Clearly you do.

Thomas takes high road in response to Williams

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:58 PM) That's because everyone is blinded by the World Series title. Kenny can do no wrong anymore. I'm in Boston. Nobody here gives two s***s about the fact that the White Sox won the 2005 World Series (that's still fun to say ). Everybody I've heard from, besides some on this site, are happy with what KW said. -

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) Frank didn't call anyone an idiot. And, through every article, he reitterated how much respect he still has for the organization, for the fans, and for the city. Kenny is supposed to be above all these things. IMO, and in the mind of fans of other teams, it doesn't reflect well. Well, I've been getting nothing but compliments for KW for what he said. Baseball writers don't seem to be having a problem with this, either. -

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:50 PM) Thomas wasn't the one who threw around the personal attacks. That was KW, not Frank. Honestly, his comments weren't a whole lot different than from what Benjie Molina said of the Anahiem organization a month or two ago. I didn't see comments from Bill Stoneman calling him a selfish idiot... Good to see those comments today. Hopefully this thing will just die. How many times did Bengie Molina say those things? Was it repeatedly? Frank Thomas started throwing the s***, KW finally answered back, and now Thomas is the bigger man because he's not going to respond. -

Can you still take the high road when you're the one that pushes the other person to making a statement? -
QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:13 PM) I agree. The combo of Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Busey and Seagal was great. I wish there were more movies like that and Predator, Total Recall, Commando, RoboCop, Bloodsport, etc. I love those movies to this day. Seriously. I feel sorry for anyone that can't just enjoy a mindless, shoot-em-up movie.
