I loved Land Before Time. I really liked dinosaurs.

That'd be a good discussion to have. What are some people's favorite childhood movies?

QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 11:46 AM) Talking about "it" reminded me that while me and my friends were shopping yesterday, we saw the movie "little monsters" on sale on DVD. I haven't seen a mention of this movie in like 10 years, but I remember watching it a ridicuous amount of times growing up. What a weird movie, anyone remember it? You can't go wrong with Kevin Arnold and Bobby Generic in the same movie. It's definitely one of those movies you watch a lot when you're a kid, and then kinda remember it fondly as you get older.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 02:57 AM) One movie I've been meaning to see that I've heard is scary as hell is the Omen. I've seen bits and pieces of it before, but never the whole thing. The Omen is good, but I really doubt you'll find it scary. There are, I think, two sequels to it. They're awful. Has anyone else seen the The New World yet? And if so, please back up that it is an extremely long and boring sack of hot garbage.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 01:10 PM) Yeah without researching it, I think the last time we didn't win the medal count in the summer games was 1980 when we boycotted. I don't pay much attention to the Olympics and even when I do, it's mostly the Summer games. I figured we just dominated the Winter games, too, since we dominate the Summer ones. Who's the all-time medal leader for the Winter games, then? -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 10:51 AM) 1932 was the last time that the US HAD the highest medal count in the winter games... So, is it the Summer Olympics that they always win? -

When was the last time America didn't have the highest medal count? -
This probably isn't the place for this question, but I don't know where to put it. How long ago did this forum's name get changed?

QUOTE(LauraJ14 @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 05:08 PM) No, they have to stay with Pepsi. Coke tastes awful and since I don't drink beer, I need my Pepsi. I like them both equally, but Pepsi is the better choice because it's lighter for those hot days. -
About 2/3 of those apply to me. Also, I have the theme songs for just about all of those shows that are mentioned on my computer.

QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 08:05 PM) I hope he does come back to the AL and have a contender look upon him as the savior only to watch him get knocked around all season. Exactly. -
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 04:03 PM) Mark's ejection in baltimore, no love? I loved that. It showed that Buehrle put protecting his teammates ahead of some personal goal. That game would've been the 50th in a row while going at least 6 innings, right?

QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) Gimme a break with this #6 seed nonsense. It's not like they were some s***ty 9-7 team beating up on 15-1 teams. They were a tiebreaker away from being the #3 seed. Once more, I am not saying the Steelers were a weak team or that they belonged as the 6th seed. What I said repeatedly is that I find it humorous that the 6th seed (although they are stronger than any other prior 6th seeds) beat the 1st seed, especially when considering that the NFC has been catching s*** for a while about being a much weaker division.
-
Listen, I've been trying to say this in my last three posts. I was poking fun (that means I was making a joke, being light-hearted, etc.) at the fact that the 6th seed beat the 1st seed. With the AFC being heralded as the much stronger conference, it is still funny to see the lowest seed beating the highest. It's like rubbing salt in the NFC's wounds. For some reason, you are not getting the point that I think the situation is comical. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 05:17 PM) Yes but your 2 dumb to look at other stuff obviously... how about the worse team in the AFC beating the 3 best teams in the AFC? Or how about that worse team was a year removed from a 15-1 season and they prob would of won 2 more games if Big Ben wasnt hurt. You also missed a few punctuation marks in there. And your calling me dumb?

Blue Jays close to signing Bengie Molina

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 03:36 PM) AJ Pierzynski hates you. But I mean, is it seriously mere coincidence that all the Sox playoff starters*, and almost the entire bullpen had the best years of their career the first year AJP was here? I'm not sure it is. Garland went from being Jon to Judy, Contreras is no longer labeled a headcase and is now labeled as an ace in some parts, Hermanson looked secksi and pitched well too for a change...I find it hard that those are all coincidental. If anything...AJP is a top 3 handler, if you will, in the game. In Minnesota, San Francisco, and Chicago...but moreso in Minnesota and Chicago...he helped pitchers have great years. If it's happened pretty much his entire career, coincidence halts and it becomes more rule than coincidence. should edit this...FG didn't, but he pitched pretty well all-around, and he pitched much better than he did after the Sox acquired him in 04. I agree, but who would you say are the other two? -

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) Bulls***... and well bulls***. His defense is top still top notch and most pitchers that have pitched to him will tell he is the best or one of the best to throw to. He still has at least two if not three good years left in him. You just do not start losing defense at the age of what 28-29 ( you said their world series). Angels fans think his brother is better out in all categories? Look around more and you will see how they dread the lost of bengie and are stuck with jose. The two are not comparable. Chisoxfn has been beating that point into the ground all offseason. It seems nobody out there is happy that Jose will be taking Bengie's place. -
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) How does it show the strength of the AFC being much better than the NFC? If the calls were right, this game is completely different with Seattle possibly winning it. That 6 seed also beat those "super strong" 1, 2, and 3 teams in the AFC. Plus they blew out the 1st and 3rd team and the 2nd team if the calls weren't horrid in that game too. Just shows me that the AFC is full of pretenders. Seattle came closer than all those teams and would've had a great chance of winning if the zebra's weren't so horrible. And no one can say they weren't, because talk shows and ourselves wouldn't be so wrapped up in talking about it. It was a joke. The "supposed" worst team in the AFC beat the best team in the NFC. I'm sorry that you're still too busy crying about the officiating to laugh.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) By the way, how dumb does Molina look now for turning down a 3-year, $18 million contract offer from the Mets? Stupid. Doesn't look that stupid. Now he doesn't have to play for the Mets. -
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:54 PM) Ok but when you think about it that six seed also beat the one seed of the AFC so what is there to think about? Also the Steelers are a much tougher team with Big Ben.... because of being hurt they lost some games with Maddox. Oy, I'm not trying to get into an argument about the actual strength of the Steelers. I said that it was funny that the six seed beat the one seed. Everyone knew that the NFC was much weaker, and this just makes it look worse for them. It is funny to me. I'm sorry that it wasn't to you.
-
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:44 PM) That same team beat the top 3 ranked teams in the AFC as well Yeah, but think about it. What does it say when the six seed in one conference beats the one seed in the other? We all know that the AFC is a whole lot tougher than the NFC, and this just seems like another way of showing it.

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:34 PM) this would be great if ths works and looks sort of natural. I know it will likely be abused by vein people, but it would be a miracle for people who were scarred in car accidents or by fires. Or federal agents that need to masquerade as a sociopath in order to gain the trust of said sociopath's effeminate brother so as to learn the location of a bomb somewhere within a major city.
