heart attack after fumble
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 08:46 PM) The coolest reaction I have ever had was to Rally Crede's walkoff against when I punched my friend in the stomach out of pure excitement and knocked the wind out of him. You're a violent person.

heart attack after fumble
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) I was pretty bad after game three of the World Series. I was falling asleep when Blum hit the homerun and my heart must have expanded to about the size of a pillow. And I cried after PK's Grand Slam.....I mean balled my eyes out like there was no tommorrow. And for some strange reason, the only other time I cried about/at a sporting event was when the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup. I have no clue why. I think I was just relieved for Ray Bourque. Game 2 was so weird. I was so happy when Konerko hit the grand slam, jumping up, screaming, and high-fiving anyone near me. Then, I was more pissed than I might ever have been when Jenks blew the save (I stomped on an end table). Finally, I didn't even know how to react anymore when Pods hit the walkoff. I went from two extremes that quickly that I was almost lost.

Hot Stove Heaters
Eh, I'm not even going to read it. Thanks for posting it, though. I just don't want to get angry because of this guy that clearly has a problem with the White Sox for some reason. He's a douchebag.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 11:30 AM) When did that go down? Like a week ago? Something like that.

Hot Stove Heaters
I notice right under this story is another named Rob Neyer: White Sox could fall. It's not surprising that that piece of trash has to write an article against the Sox when someone writes something good about them. It's an insider story, so I can't read it.

Greatest Movie Tough Guy Poll
QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 08:19 AM) Actually as the story goes as I remember, Seagal was talking s*** about several people that hang out with Chuck Norris and they supposedly call themselves the "Dirty dozen" anyway, I guess Seagal came into the night club and Zito was alerted to the fact he was there and went and confronted Seagal about it and challeneged him to a fight and Seagal wouldn't. Also, I am quite certain every gang has a fair share of wussies in them.. hench why a lot of the gangs begin in the first place. Not being tough enough to defend yourself, so I will get 20 guys who can for me....IMO. Given some of them are hard f***ing core and would tear some s*** up..Zito is certainly not one that needs back up. Hilarious that it sounds like these movie tough guys have gangs. Turf wars should ensue.

Crede signs 1-year deal!
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 09:27 AM) You can't have a stud backup at every position. It just isn't feasible. Mackowiak and Borchard (I assume) will back up the outfield and Mackowiak or Gload could be used at first base in case one of Konerko or Thome gets injured. Having Mackowiak is nice because he can play almost every position and even hit a bit. We all know that every AL team has 4 DH/1B's waiting in the minors in case one of their players go down. Stupid KW doesn't have any for us

Even More Chuck Norris facts
The Chuck Norris facts started out really funny, but the new ones suck more and more as they come out.

Generalisimo Chavez...again
QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) That's all well and good, but I don't want Soxtalk to seem like it's filled with troglodytes. Shouldn't this choice be made after getting a better idea of where everyone stands on this instead of just a few people who will certainly agree with each other?

Generalisimo Chavez...again
QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) Then I'm history around here. No, the exact opposite. I'm saying that there will be a change.

Generalisimo Chavez...again
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 08:58 AM) "Oh. I've b****ed about it. I just haven't received much support." That should tell you that maybe you are the only person who sees anything wrong with it. I see things on this board every day that I don't like, or aren't funny to me, or don't make 'good satire', but I don't tell people what they can or can't write. Having a laugh at ficticious characters from movies makes Sox Talk look bad?? Letting a small group of people try to dictate what is right and wrong is what will make Sox Talk look bad. Trust me, you're fighting a losing battle. Just by looking at who's already come out against it in this thread, anyone can figure out that they will win.

Oscars
Doesn't some unknown "critically acclaimed" movie do well every single year at these stupid ass award ceremonies?

Panthers @ BEARS
QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 07:10 PM) Just wasn't the Bears year. A full year of Grossman will be nice next year. Man did the Defense crap an egg in that one. How hard is it to just cover Steve Smith and make someone else beat you? The only thing I am pissed about is how poorly the game was officiated. There were way too many non calls that went in favor of the Panthers. f*** Steve Smith and Jack Delhomme, you will be on the couch after next weekend. You should be more mad at the Bears' defense than you are at Smith and Delhomme. The D was garbage.

BEARS DEFENSE BLOWS
This is Bears football, folks. C'mon, who didn't know it was 2001 still?
-
Panthers @ BEARS
Hey Bears defense, go talk s*** some more you overrated pieces of s***. They deserved to lose and they're the ones that blew the game. f*** you, defense. f*** you right in your cocky asses.
-
Panthers @ BEARS
Just stop covering Smith, seriously. Apparently, he is God and he cannot be stopped no matter what you do.
-
Panthers @ BEARS
When did the Bears last win a playoff game?
-
Panthers @ BEARS
Screw it, just don't cover Smith anymore, apparently. This is just 2001 all over again. I'd be mad, but the White Sox won the World Series.

Official NFL General Discussion Thread
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 12:52 AM) Doesn't surprise me, I thought it was out but it was very close to tell. The pass interference call and no touchback call against New England really hurt them, but most of all they hurt themselves. It was great to see the Patriots beat themselves for once instead of their opponents constantly beating themselves. Kasay in the superbowl? I was so pissed at that.
