  1. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 06:17 AM) http://www.denverpost.com/rockies/ci_3381852 Any ideas on what A.L. team it could be? Starting CF for the Boston Red Sox. I could be kidding, but I'm not even sure. It could honestly be just about any team. He can be useful to a lot of teams as a defensive replacement and pinch runner.
  2. Bring him on. Everyone knows that ex-Cubs win the World Series soon after leaving.
  3. McCarthy, as of right now, is Vizcaino's replacement. That is a step forward. The only open spot right now is Marte's replacement. Whoever it is will only be used as a lefty specialist and will undoubtedly be the last arm out of the pen. If there's one weakness in the pen, I much prefer it to be that spot.
  4. QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 08:23 PM) Lucky Number Slevin Anticipating this movie......been waiting for a trailer for a while.....finally get to see the outlook/plot of the movie through film. Man, I have a tough time looking at your sig/avatar.
  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 07:41 PM) expectations. Only reason I saw son of the mask was because it was playing on an airplane. I had low expectations going in. Brokeback Mountain was a movie that I had expectations nad I thought failed more. I was more dissapointed in Brokeback Mountain than Son of the Mask because I expected nothing from it to begin with. I thought they only showed movies that were out of the theaters on planes? I really don't know, though, since I've never been on a flight that was long enough for an in-flight movie.
  6. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) Joined Soxtalk about 4 months before him and he outposted me by about 2500 posts. SUCKS! Had a good comeback.
  7. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Has an avatar that i don't understand. Originally spelled his name wrong.
  8. That's quite a few reasons for number 55.
  9. Does Uwe Boll only make movies about games? Ha, I see he's making a movie out of Postal. I really don't understand what storyline that could possibly have.
  10. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 04:39 PM) Never lets us forget the premier 3B, Herbert Perry Is God damn right.
  11. To like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, one would probably have to have read the book. If you didn't read the book, the movie was probably s*** to you. I didn't read the book, so the movie really boring to me. And they still have drive-ins?
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 03:20 AM) I've heard Four Brothers is a great movie, still haven't seen it yet. I'm pretty sure my favorite movie this year was Walk the Line, but I can't remember the whole year. That is an excellent choice. The fact that it was about Johnny Cash should make it one of everyone's favorite movies of the year. The fact that it was a damn good movie should solidify that standing.
  13. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 03:15 AM) Ryan Drese really isn't good. I realize that, but they shouldn't be able to get a starting pitcher of any kind for Patterson. The guy should have zero trade value. The fact that that article says the Cubs are holding out to possibly get a #4 or 5 starter just blows my mind. The guy is worth a long-shot prospect or two, and that's it.
  14. How can they get an offer that is even that good?
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 12:32 AM) Where it belongs. Indeed.
  16. It's still gonna get moved to A and J's.
  17. Where the hell is Weaver gonna suck next year? Anaheim? Baltimore? Mets? Phillies?
  18. Really does not want to see a movie about gay cowboys.
  19. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) I checked the Cube and found nothing. Probably just a scrub to take up some space. Are you seriously calling Anderson Gomes a scrub? What the hell are you smoking?
  20. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 08:52 PM) 10. History of Violence dir. David Croenberg Are you saying that because of the great fight scenes? The fight scenes were about the only thing going for that movie. It seemed like it was thrown together in half an hour. The violence, surprisingly, was awesome, though.
  21. Well, I guess my friend's word is good when it comes to movies
  22. The second Palmer went down, I told everyone in the room he'd definitely never come back even if they stayed in the playoffs. You could tell it wasn't good when his knee basically went sideways.
  23. If anyone actually thought he was coming back, they were crazy. There was no way he'd pass on the hype be built for himself in the Rose Bowl. He probably learned from Leinart. He stayed to get another shot at the National Championship, and he lost in the championship game. Now, he might not even go in the top 5 (not sure about the draft order and what those teams will need) when he was an obvious #1 last year.
  24. I don't know if this helps, but my friend saw Hostel a couple of days ago. He said the gore wasn't as bad as he expected. He also said that the fingernail part in Syriana was worse than any torture scene in Hostel. And basically the first half of Hostel was a porn.
