  1. I really expected to see John Travolta or Nicholas Cage.
  2. The commercials sucked again this year. The last good year was the Bucs-Raiders Superbowl and that's because Terry Tate carried it. The best this year were easily what Soxy said. I'm glad that we didn't have to put up with 500 commercials for Numb3rs or those depressing anti-smoking ads.
  3. I still find it funny that the worst-ranked team from the AFC playoffs beat the top seed from the NFC. There's just a huge gap between the AFC and NFC.
  4. Who still thinks to themselves,"Wow, we really won the World Series," once in a while (or everyday for me)?
  5. I'd call in Ahnold and/or Danny Glover. It's worked in the past.
  6. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 04:59 PM) Oh I loved the New World. One of the best movies of the year. I think anybody interested in American History should see this. It is very accurate and will probably become a video that they show in History Classes when they are talking about Jamestown and the settlement of the colonists and Native Americans instead of Pocahontas (which is just a corny romance has not historical accuracy.) It is also not a chick flick. It has some great battle sequences and the sets are amazing. What is the problem with making a love story. I also recomend another great movie called Junebug. this movie is a great comedy. I laughed a lot and it is very sweet and warm hearted. ^I rest my case.
  7. QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 03:42 PM) GUTS! D-D-D-Do you have it?
  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) I am thinking about renting The Aristocrats and it sounds like it will be either a riot, or horrible... Without scanning 80 pages here, what did people think of it??? Nothing offends me, and I love vulgar humor. I've walked out of one movie in my entire life, and that was The Aristocrats. It simply was not funny, and it just dragged on and on.
  9. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 10:08 PM) Thx, I almost got suckered into that. I thought it focused more on the first interaction between the English and Native Americans. Very little of that, too. The girl seemingly becomes fluent in English in a few months, which is glazed over in about 10 minutes. The movie was not what I expected.
  10. I just got back from The New World. It was the longest, most boring piece of crap I've seen in a while. There is basically no fight scenes. There's one, to be exact. And it was just a love story. It sucked.
  11. And killed James Bond. The guy was great.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 05:51 PM) I agree 110%. We have the exact same mind set on this. It sickens me whenever I turn on Fox at 5, 6 or 10 and see an episode from 2005. Would it be so hard to show a few episodes from season 8 or 9? Hank Scorpio is one of the greatest characters in the history of television and probably the greatest animated super villian to ever exist yet so many people don't remember who he is because the damn reruns they show on Fox all have Alec Baldwin as a guest star. Sorry it's not in packets.
  13. The Sloth one was the best. Thome really does look like him in that picture.
  14. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 11:03 AM) God must be a skiier I think he's acting like he's deaf?
  15. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 10:46 AM) Hmm, I guess we disagree here. I find Kane and Undertaker are pretty stiff in the ring anymore. They used to be fun, but Undetaker and his walk on the rope just aint cutting it anymore when there are guys flying off the turnbuckle and doing crazy moves(randy orton comes to mind. He is gonna be good when he gets over himself). Ill tell you one thing, I think Ken Kennedy is going to be awesome when he comes back from his injury. Him and guys like Bobby Lashley are the future. Well, I haven't seen Undertaker wrestle in a long while. Kane, on the other hand, does a lot of moves off of the turnbuckles, at least I think. He might do those less recently, though, since they have him as Big Show's partner. I assume Kennedy is on Smackdown when he's healthy? I never watch that, so I don't know anything about him. Lashley, from what I saw of him, looks like he can move around. He could be very big.
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 10:07 AM) Whenever he gets eliminated from a Royal Rumble or Battle Royal type match where he has to go over the ropes, it never looks real. People start pushing him and he usually just leans over the top when he is supposed to get eliminated. People like him and Mark Henry just arent fun to watch because they are so big. I used to love Bam Bam Bigelow because he wrestled like a cruiserweight in a heavyweights body. There just arent guys like him anymore. Flying headbutt? Bam Bam was much different, you're right. It's not easy to find a big guy that can fly around. I guess you can include guys like Undertaker and Kane in that, too. They have different bodies than Bam Bam, but they can move. They're a class lower than him, though, since they weren't in Major Payne.
  17. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 09:39 AM) Viscera is lame. The guy has too much undercarraige to wrestle. Yeah, he's huuuuuge.
  18. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 09:23 AM) Wasnt Sexual Chocolate the wrestler Viscera? No, Mark Henry was. They've made Viscera into a newer version of that character, though. With Goldust now back, it seems like they have two guys like that (except Rhodes is white, er gold).
  19. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 11:23 PM) Yep, he's one of those guys that you would never expect him to have the voice that he does. Rick Astley?
  20. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 10:24 PM) He's been hurt since 2002 pretty much and has always had great matches...except with Mark Henry this past Sunday. Yeah, but his neck is apparently getting worse. It's on a few of the rumor sites.
  21. I still have your sig, which couldn't possibly be sweeter. Thanks again.
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) Looks like he is going bald naturally. Not that I would know what hair plugs are. Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, and Randy Orton are 3 of the best in the biz right now. Don't get to attached to him. He might retire soon because his neck is in such bad shape.
  23. Walk the Line should have been nominated for best picture. I hope Munich wins it.
  24. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 02:23 AM) you cant nominate Jay Chanreshkar, he wrote Super Troopers. Then he did Club Dread and Dukes of Hazzard, both sucked.
