  1. Ichiro could be hitting .051 on the season, and he'd still hit 1.000 against us.
  2. What did Mackowiak do that was so heads up?
  3. This guy is playing all of you like fiddles. He's just getting a rise out of you. There is no way he is serious with any of this. And I will give him credit. The things he is saying and the pictures he is posting are funny.
  4. This is an honest question, because I really don't know. Has Pods gotten on base to lead off a game once this year?
  5. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) Sure is. Only heroes are born on May 26th John Wayne?
  6. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:08 PM) I was at a Sox game on May 26, 1996(my birthday) when Thomas, Baines, Ventura went back to back to back, and then Lyle Mouton hit a single, and Chad Kreuter followed with another homerun. I think it was all against Mike Fetters too. Your birthday is May 26, too?
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) Para una persona que no lo practica frecuentemente, lo escribes mas o menos. I just corrected someone who's fluent in Spanish I think you might mean borracho (drunk) for that first one, unless there's another word that I don't know for drunk. And for the second one, I think you have to use the subjunctive. I'm a jerk.
  8. Maybe they're having Jenks come into a game situation to throw his breaking balls? Is he throwing them?
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 09:44 PM) I'd rather see if McCarthy can get us to the 9th inning with a big lead, and then bring in Thornton. If you're going to bring McCarthy in, might as well take advantage of it. And he only threw 16 pitches in his appearance so far today.
  10. So, is the Boone Logan experiment over yet? The guy clearly doesn't seem ready for the big show.
  11. I don't care what anyone says. It's impressive as f*** when you only give up 2 runs in 4 games.
  12. Before last year, I tried to figure out Buehrle's pace. Going by the average amount of games he won a year up to that point, and assuming he pitches until he's 40 and remains healthy, he was on pace to win something like 320 games. I'm not saying. I'm just saying.
  13. Will it actually end up being much shorter, like Coco Crisp's injury? Or maybe even longer?
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) cough Royals cough Aw, c'mon. They gave up 1 run in the series. That's pretty sweet.
  15. They're going to extra inning, and I can't believe the Twins scored 10 runs tonight with Mike Redmond and Ruben Sierra as their 3-4 punch.
  16. K-Rod got Morneau to pop out, struck Bautista out on 3 pitches, then went full in a long at-bat to Lew Ford. Ford eventually drew the walk and the game is tied.
  17. Morneau probably gonna walk off again. He's up with no outs and the bases juiced, down by 1. K-Rod hasn't been too good this year so far. EDIT: And he popped out on the first pitch, ha.
  18. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 09:03 PM) WHO GIVES A f***!?!?!? WORLD CHAMPS! I'll tell you who I hope cares. THE f***ING WORLD CHAMPS! Add that fuel to the fire, and use it to their advantage. Oh, winning the Series doesn't get us respect? Well, we better just go out there and do it again.
  19. I'm actually going to see him this weekend.
  20. f***ing Thome hasn't hit a homer in a while. This idiot better get his head back on straight.
  21. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) Great outing by Vazquez. Still, I'm a little more anxious today than I usually am for some reason.. Let's just end this one as fast as we can, please. Yikes, my anxiety wasn't as uncalled for as I thought it was. That ending had my heart beating fast just reading this thread and gameday.

  23. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) It wasn't really bound to happen. He had a great chance at a no no, but now that it has....lets take him out after next inning, unless he really wants the CG. No-hitters are very rare. You expect every team to get at least one hit in every game. It doesn't make me angry to see a no-no broken up usually, because I just assume it's going to happen eventually.
