  1. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) How about making a trade for Kent Mercker And Joe Randa
  2. QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) I hope KW gets someone alot better than Stanton. There's not a lot of choices. And I'll take just about anything that's better than Kevin Walker. There's a lot of choices in that department.
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) The Sox want to make sure you all have something to b**** about, since 52-24 isn't enough. Come on, you know this is a terrible move. There are probably three or four guys in AAA that everyone would rather see. Walker's ERA is over 5 in AAA. This is garbage.
  4. What? WHAT?! First, I thought Marte was healthy again. Second, I hope Walker gets hit by a car on his way back and breaks both of his arms so he never even has a chance to f*** up a game. Why are we doing this? I seriously don't know why Kevin f***ing Walker is being called up. We insist on letting s***ty players take up roster space, I swear.
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 10:16 AM) I'd like to see him pitch some more and see if he can revert back to what he's done the past few years. I'd like to see him revert back to last year's form, and that's it. He sucked the year before that.
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) You have a point. But Ichiro won it. Until they make it a rule, so be it. Tadahito deserves it. So did Sasaki, and he was like 35 at the time. And Shingo came in second last year, I think. He finished behind Bobby Crosby, the most undeserving ROY in the history of baseball.
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) But, Ozzie was considered an idiot for leaving in Shingo and not bringing in Hermanson. That's why we're not the managers And that's a damn good thing. Think about this. When the year began, most people thought are weak spots in the bullpen would be Cotts and Politte, to a point. Now, they've both been dominant and now the two guys that were lagging are producing, too. I hope this continues.
  8. I say we trade Buehrle now. If this is the asking price for Schmidt, we can probably get roughly eleventy billion dollars for him.
  9. I'm not trying to start a fight, but why would bring the guy up other than to suggest that he's involved in the trade? The fact that he's their top prospect was completely irrelevant to the conversation.
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:32 PM) Connor Jackson is their top prospect I beleive: http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...milb&pid=433582 6 HR, 58 RBI, .373 AVG, .463 OBP!!! I doubt we're getting their top prospect for Shingo or Vizcaino. Seriously, settle down.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:22 PM) Other than one of their 3 young starters(Halsey, Webb, Vazquez) There is nobody on that team I could see the Sox even looking at. Couldn't they also have been looking at Detroit's bullpen. They have some depth there. But I doubt they'd trade with each other. You know, because they're rivals and all.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) Diamondback scouts huh, sounds about time to take a look at that Vazquez contract. '05 - $10.5 - $3M = $7.5 '06 - $11.5 - $3M = $8.5 '07 - $12.5 - $3M = $9.5 $3M a year payed for by the yankees. What everyone else said, plus didn't Vazquez not want to come here? He can go suck a fat one for all I care.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) Steiner...who could the D-Backs want from our pen that is available? Marte is the only one who is expandable I guess but Jizzcan and Shingo pitched well out of the bullpen tonight. They might be the other 2 guys going somewhere. Politte + Hermy = UNTOUCHABLE And who the hell would they give us?
  14. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) I usually like buying a 30-pack of PBR from Jewel and drowning my sorrows in it until I pass out. Oh man, PBR is nasty s***. I haven't drank in about 6 months, so I can't even imagine drinking that anymore.
  15. QUOTE(mrzo2733 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) You're both wrong. That song kicks ass and Journey kicks ass. Listen to their stuff sometime. It's good. I thought that was a fitting post milkman. I would be happy if it stuck. It really fits the way this team plays, even if I'm not always as optimistic as the song.
  16. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) Yes, if you don't have a penis. I Kid Because I Care Sorry, I just have a very low Journey tolerance. f*** that, that song's awesome. Everything else by Journey sucks balls, though. EDIT: And just to save my manhood, I listened to Fuel by Metallica and Mercy, Severity by Mudvayne consecutively.
  17. I've been listening to "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey after just about every Sox winner this year. It just seems fitting.
  18. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:07 PM) The bullpen deserves a dozen hookers tonight. And the expensive ones, too.
  19. s***, I probably just woke up my whole family yelling YES! I was shaking like a leaf on a tree.
