  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) You're assuming he'll stay healthy, which I don't know if I'd say he ever has done, it seems like he misses 5 starts or so every year due to health reasons. You're assuming McCarthy will be good. Not saying he won't be, but that kind of reasoning can go either way.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) Did ESPN suddenly have a different attitude last year when we acquired Garcia, who was the #1 pitcher on the trading block until we grabbed him? Yes, Peter Gammons said we'd win the WS.
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:24 AM) 1 good start out of you and we can slam the mouths closed on those guys who are desperate to sacrifice your whole career to get Schmidt for 1 season. 1 1/2 seasons.
  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) He's in Addison's sig. Yeah, but that's not the greatest picture. He's supposed to be fat, right? Anyone have a picture that shows that?
  5. Can someone post a picture of Jenks? I've heard he's a big boy, but I've never actually seen him.
  6. That homerun never got more than 15 feet off the ground. In any other park, it would have been a line shot just foul or just fair. Fenway sucks so much.
  7. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) Ha, they could've just re-signed Cairo. I love seeing these things happen to the Yankeees. If only they would happen to the Red Sox, too...
  8. Crap. Well, at least Dustin's OK. The first line of the title scared the hell out of me. Here's hoping for the best.
  9. How many queers does it take to flip over a car? I dunno, but maybe we'll find out if the Cubs win the World Series.
  10. If McCarthy can give up less than 5 or 6 ER in 5 innings, I'll be happy. Well, not happy, but I'll know it could be worse. If McCarthy has to do awful this game for KW to pull the trigger soon, I'll be able to deal with the bad performance better. Maybe B-Mac will get shelled, but our offense will win us the game...
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) Huh? He's a 21 year old rookie. (It was a BBTN joke because they suck)
  12. What I don't understand is why Huston Street is a goddamn baseball analyst now? Did he suck at his former job? Is he a know-nothing s***head? Does he not know the names of half of his team?
  13. QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) Nate Robertson was pitching good is the story tonight...He pitched a complete game shut out his last start against the Twins..Its not like we were facing a nobody..We've just faced some really good pitching... This has nothing to do with you, Gashwound, but I have to say this. Around here, it's one extreme or the other. Either every pitcher that does well against us "had a good game" or "our offense sucked ass." I find it hard to believe either way. It's weird to think that our offense could suck so frequently, but it's also weird to think that a lot of pitchers seem to have a career-best performances against us.
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) And, Vizquel is worse defensively than Uribe -- IMO. IAFIWABO (In any f***in' idiot with a brain's opinion)
  15. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) Why not go for Kenny Rogers? At this rate Texas will be 10 games out of the wild card race by the all star break. He's old and I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting a young pitching prospect or 2. I know it sounds crazy but all this trade talk we're doing is speculative anyway. But this speculation has some rumor behind it...or at least logic. Kenny Rogers?!
  16. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) I don't want him period but what can you do. You can kill him. I'm not saying you should, but I'm just sayin'...
  17. Wow, Wickman closes out the save with 3 pitches. Yes, that's one pitch to each hitter.
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) That Foulke trade is looking pretty damn good for us right now, ain't it. Uh, no. We should've had Foulke for his good years instead of Koch, and Foulke still might have walked and signed with the Red Sox in free agency.
  19. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) Does anyone miss Foulke now? LOL, he sucks ass. Ha, the first thing my friend says to me when he ims me two minutes ago, "Still want Foulke back?" He's going nuts, it makes me more thankful to our team.
  20. Foulke walked a guy after going 0-2 on him, according to my friend.
  21. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 09:29 PM) LOL, one could only wish. He's the only reliable guy in the Royals' bullpen. Isn't that guy Ambiorix Burgos supposed to be pretty good, too?
  22. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) Runner at 2nd base with 2 outs for the Indians in the 9th inning. What happened to Keith Foulke? To be blunt, he f***ing sucks dog balls.
  23. Can Sisco pitch the rest of the game? And then could he pitch tomorrow's game?
  24. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) Ha, have fun being a damn homer. Atleast I'm honest with myself. YOUR NOT A FAN YOUR NOT A FAN YOUR NOT A FAN!!!!!!!1! BUREHLE IS THE GREATEST PITCHER EVERR YOU SUCK YEAH HOW BOUT THAT MR. SUCKY SUX SUCKERPANTS SUCKFACE!!!111!!!
