QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 05:27 PM) Look I'm sorry for saying this but it's true, who ever wants to take action then go ahead it only tells me I'm speaking the truth even more and that the truth hurts. I think Only ONE mod should set the rules, I've been here 8 years and I've always seen Jason as the top mod/board founder so that's who sould have the final word, why? Cause we have some mods that are over there heads and they know it, another thing is I've noticed a lot of suck ups here, agreeing with everything any mod says and the thing is a lit of those suckups are the first to start trouble then hide there tail between there legs. I think it's of no regular poster to say and measure what's right and wrong just rile up another poster, that's ganging up in my eyes, ohh I'm in good with a mod I'll rile you up and if you get mad at me, I'll tell my mod friend, ain't happening so stup sucking up to mods, you all know who you are. That's my honest opinion, like it or not. I come here cause I love baseball and love my sox and maybe a lot of this is just because a lot of people have passion for what they love and that's a good thing, it would be a shame to put a limit on passion cause he or her don't like it. I understand there's rules and I'm cool with that, but one thing is rules and one thing is being overboard and on power trips. Again I agree with rules, like fighting of racial slurs and such things, and it's cool for good discussion, but there had to be some fun, with it's limits but some fun, now a lot postersaybe even won't say anything fearful of being banned and that's the real shame, and actually I think 1 or 2 mods are enough. Sorry if anyone is hurt or offended, didn't mean to be like that just speaking from the heart. Jason feel free to PM me if you don't comfortable with this post You know what, Im just going to come out and say it here, If you believe that there is a mod/admin that is catering to anyone you just go ahead and name him. If you feel like there is a mod or admin that is over his head, you can name that person too. We work as a team, we discuss everything that happens on this site, as much as people want to believe that there are rogue mods/admins that flex their muscles when people arent looking, that simply is not the case. This entire discussion went exactly the route I thought it would, towards censorship. This is not censorship. This is asking people to think about what they are adding to the site. If your post is the 1000th post that mentions the same "Juan Pierre/Adam Dunn/Ozzie Guillen/Greg Walker sucks" sentiment, and on top of that is a NEW THREAD, then maybe it isnt needed. If you think that we are asking too much of you to not repeat yourself that many times in that many different threads, then yes, take your act elsewhere. Naturally this thread turned into "The Soxtalk against J4L", People are acting like we issued J4L a death sentence. J4L is a longtime poster who is a valued member of this site when he feels like it. When he doesnt feel like it, he creates threads like "KW got bent over in the Hudson trade". This is no secret, that thread was garbage and it was created with nothing in mind but to b**** about the Hudson trade. We had an entire superthread about the Hudson trade. Dig it up and start that up again if it is so important to you to b**** about the Hudson trade again. But I have nothing personal against J4L, I actually like him a lot and enjoy reading some of his thoughts, and like everyone else he is extremely frustrated with this team and how they have played for the first three months. But like everyone else, this is not a dumping ground for his extreme hyperbole, not mine or anyone elses. This isnt a call for no negativity. This isnt a call for NO hyperbole. This is an attempt to get people to clean up the s*** that we all have to see every day. Plenty of posters in this very thread have stated that they want no part of PHT anymore because of it all. Not just J4L's posts. Everyone's posts. You dont have to be all rainbows and unicorns and glitter, this team is not going to inspire many positive thoughts at the moment. Just be constructive in what you say, dont just throw in something like "Juan Pierre needs to just go away and die" when he grounds out, no matter how you mean it. There is no rulebook on how to post, so stop asking for it. Use your common sense

QUOTE (Real @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 04:07 PM) It wasnt brought up by a caller, though he feels Konerko's performance at this age is suspicious He's the same caller that calls in and bashes the Sox under different names and locations, he's pathetic really Any avid score listeners should know who I'm talking about He was "Jim" today, I've heard him claim to be "Benjamin" before also I know who you are talking about, I have heard him too. He always claims "I think this team is awful and isnt getting any better and nobody else sees it"

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 01:42 PM) Did you start twirling a gold chain too? lol, no gold chain. that was actually a direct reference to what jimh thinks of me. he thinks of my as a backwards hat wearing punk because, you know, a 33 year old father of two is totally like that. thats ok though, i think of him as a younger version of Carl from the movie Up, so we are even.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) Well, Ozzie is showing supreme faith in a guy (Pierre) that has a proven pedigree and you have to admire that about him. Ozzie always sticks by his vets and that's a decent trait to have. ha ha slow clap -
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 01:32 PM) LOL. He'd be the first to be suspended under these new guidelines. Well, he'd first have to return from his current suspension; but then SSI would post and he'd lose his mind again. /turns hat backwards and starts assuming punk posture because i know JimH is reading this JimH got banned with very little guidelines. He doesnt play well with others. /turns hat forward and resumes normal person posture

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:45 AM) what's the closest we've been in the last 2 months? Seems like 2-3 games under and then bam, down to 5 under. Not sure how the Nats are going to respond to riggleman, but lets hope it throws them for a loop because they've been sizzling. I think 2 has been the closest. Lets hope the streak of 17 straight interleague series wins also continues -
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:44 AM) We need catch-alls for them, maybe a safe zone for hyperbolic ranting on KW, Ozzie, Dunn, Rios, Pierre, Peavy etc. Somewhere to blow off steam that keeps it out of discussion threads. filibuster rules just dont work within PHT

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 04:31 PM) YES! That's him. He had like 5,000 post in 4 months. And didn't he have a second name after that? That dude was hilarious. SSH2K5 or something like that

He was a walking deadman anyways and he knew it. He probably figures what is the point if they arent planning on keeping me anyways

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 08:44 AM) The above .500 teams haven't been the problem this year. Its been the bad teams that have killed us. I think if we were .500 against the under par teams, we'd be in first place right now. I dont dispute that, I am just disagreeing that it is "too bad" that the Sox are playing some of the better teams
-
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 11:40 PM) It's too bad the Sox IL schedule this year has been tough. Washington is .500, Arizona is solid, Colorado is tough, and the Dodgers, well yeah they suck but they just took 2/3 from Detroit. why is it too bad? you want your team to be successful against teams that are better than .500, this is a good test. And already the Sox have taken 2 of 3 from the dodgers(should have swept if not for a 9th inning meltdown) and 2 of 3 from the Dbacks.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 12:36 PM) I'm one of the biggest Pixar fans out there, but I dislike them going the sequel route in general. And that goes for the Toy Story franchise as well regardless of how good the last installment of that series was. I understand that it's a business and it would be irresponsible for a corporation not to take full advantage of a proven moneymaking franchise, but i wish Pixar could have resisted the lure of the sequel and easy money. The exception for me would be an Incredibles sequel (If Brad Bird agreed to helm it). There is no way that movie wouldn't kick ass. While not among my favorites I actually very much liked the original Cars. i just watched most of it last night with my son during the Sox rain delay. The Incredibles has a bunch of sequels, didnt you know? Its called "No Ordinary Family" and it is on ABC

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:53 AM) So it looks like Pixar's run of perfection will end with Cars 2. If it had to happen I'm happy it ended with a movie that I don't care at all about and not one of their original movies. I didnt care about or care for the first movie, but it still made bank at the box office. I wouldnt count pixar out, there are millions of little kids who love those movies

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 09:48 PM) When Thibodeau got hired he was primed to be HC and had been ready for a while (maybe wanting him the first time is what's being talked about) and he wanted the job. And had LeBron come to Chicago after Thibs' hiring, well... yeah. then we would be b****ing about Lebron being unclutch in the 4th quarter all season -
