I feel like Liddy was misused and could have been a greater storyline arc into the next season. I loved his shady character

You don't give Brady a second chance to burn you, you just don't.. Twice the bears dropped picks, twice they ended up as touchdowns. This defense deserves to be booed, this is horrific. And Johnny knox you can sit the f*** down

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Dec 11, 2010 -> 05:06 PM) Anybody been in there yet? i have seen the pics on their facebook page, i wasnt under the impression it was finished yet

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 11, 2010 -> 04:07 PM) Do you really think Cowley is "guessing"? Things change. Would you rather he not tweet anything that contradicts previous tweets? This is exactly what twitter is for to report in "real time". Like I said earlier, if he wasnt so quick to rip others for being wrong, then he wouldnt get this treatment -
QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 11, 2010 -> 12:21 PM) Because all of my posts in this thread have basically turned into randomawesomeKevinLovetidbet, I'll give another one: Guess how many NBA players in the history of the league have ever averaged 15+ rebounds and shot 40+% from three-point range? Here's a hint: zero. Love is currently averaging 15.7 and shooting 41+% from 3. hey that isnt a hint. thats the answer. silly

QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Dec 11, 2010 -> 12:09 PM) I'm of the opinion that, in modern times, any beat writer who only posts information that turns out to be correct, isn't working very hard. I agree with DA. Cowley rips people to shreds when they turn out to be wrong, and then acts like "hey, we arent always given correct info all the time" when he turns out to be wrong. If he wasnt such a douche to others when their opinions differ from his, he probably wouldnt get so much s*** on this site -
QUOTE (since56 @ Dec 11, 2010 -> 08:16 AM) $2400 on a dog? How many families could use that for child care especially at Christmas. Priorities? Ok animal lovers initiate attack. how do you know that the Buehrles don't donate to a food bank or soup kitchen? Don't complain about their priorities until you know what they are

QUOTE (Lillian @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 09:35 PM) I agree that trading Carlos is a huge risk, unless they get back something really terrific. Quentin is the kind of player who could haunt management for several years to come, for giving up on him. I think he is a risk either way. He could either blossom into the talent we saw in 08, or become an injury riddled bust that never reaches that potential again. While he could haunt management if he goes, he could also be that guy you should of sold high on because he never repeats that success when you kept him. Tough decision for KW, one I would not want to have to make. Although in my opinion, I think we should sell high on him now. I dont know if relief pitching is what I would target, but it is what it is -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 06:41 PM) Wow, Captain Kirk got huge. Captain George Kirk, yes QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 07:31 PM) That's a different actor, I believe. No, Chris Hemsworth plays James Kirks father at the beginning of the reboot

Wait, we are debating the authenticity of events in a Transformers movie? Really???? Anyhow, another Robots fighting movie preview

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 05:41 PM) Good info. Maybe the CPD is asking for the Bears to pay for a portion and they don't want to? I dunno, but it should be fixed either way. Their field is a national joke pretty much every year. That is pretty much my guess. I mean, why would one of the most profitable organizations in the league want to pay for part of field that would enhance public perception of the team? Sillyness

actually, upon further review of this article, it appears the BEARS are dragging their feet Ha, they threw it right back in the Bears lap. LOL

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 05:21 PM) I remember them replacing it mid-season after a particularly bad week there. The last home game before they switched made Soldier Field look good. edit: Wiki says it was in 2006. The first game was against the Bears, which was the same game Brady embarrassed Urlacher. The Bears don't own the stadium. It's up to the CPD. I know this is true, but at the same time I believe if the Bears said "ok it is about time we get this done" the CPD would do it. The Bears FO has also been quoted as saying they want no part of Field Turf in soldier field
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 01:25 PM) If that is the case why are places like Green Bay and New England ahead of us? Somebody call Roger Bossard and fix this the right way. Gillette Stadium is field turf
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 01:24 PM) And Miami and Oakland are baseball stadiums as well...so we are probably among the worst with Pittsburgh. Most of this has to do with the weather. Part of it has to do with the insistence to allow hs football games to take place the same week as Bears games. Time for field turf. loooooooong overdue. I just dont understand why they havent gone this route earlier, it makes no sense whatsoever. The upkeep on field turf has to be minimal compared to the amount of times they have had to replace the sod at soldier field since it opened. And we are only considering football games here, dont they still play soccer on soldier field? And they also have concerts which ruin the field. And lets not even talk about injuries caused by the crappy turf. and the embarrassment of the tv announcers constantly ripping on the turf

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Dec 8, 2010 -> 09:18 AM) Jerry did this with Luol Deng too. I really think he's going to overpay here. the difference really is the cap that the Bulls have to deal with. The Sox could (theoretically) spend and spend all they want. Deng hamstrung the Bulls in more ways then one. Konerko would only hamstring the Sox if Jerry then decides he doesnt want to spend anymore

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 6, 2010 -> 05:36 PM) And Tony Sheffler and Brandon Marshall and wasting a first round pick on tebow after trading for orton and quinn(and extending orton)

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 6, 2010 -> 04:49 PM) Maybe, but at least there will be a debate. Until then Lovie is fighting for his job. Funny how that works. i think lovie would be fighting for his job even if he won in 06. this city never has embraced him like they did with ditka and probably never will. he doesnt scream and yell and kick at things enough

QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Dec 6, 2010 -> 08:09 AM) Since it's early and slow. Anyone want to pick crawfords contract after Werth signed for crazy high? Also KW looks like a genious now signing Dunn when he did with the Werth contract we may have paid more for waiting. 7/165
