Salukis pull out another in the last minute! They beat San Francisco 67-66 on a layup by Kevin Dillard with 11 seconds left! Heart attack hounds! -

QUOTE (Mattchoo @ Dec 20, 2009 -> 12:12 PM) Best fit is Adrian Gonzalez. "Oh no I didn't go there again!" you can go "there" as many times as you want. What happens "there" stays "there"

Im waiting for HBO. My brother said it was "meh" and he usually loves movies like that, so I am not holding out much hope

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Dec 20, 2009 -> 08:50 AM) Suck, it KyYie. I checked this one before i posted it. fun⋅gi⋅ble. Adj-esp. of goods) being of such nature or kind as to be freely exchangeable or replaceable, in whole or in part, for another of like nature or kind. Oh i looked it up too. Good use of a little used word. but it was sitting there on a tee, so I had to see if I could at least leg out a double

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Dec 20, 2009 -> 08:43 AM) Jon Link is a fungible asset. Ely is a promising kid with no stuff, but a good pitchers mentality. Neither of these players are that big of a deal to lose. We filled a need, and made the other team play a large percentage of a huge salary. Even if Pierre isn't the ideal option (and he really isn't) we won this trade. So he likes portabella mushrooms?

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 19, 2009 -> 10:02 PM) I turned it off when we were down 11 with about 3 minutes left, came back to see what the final was and saw we won, and texted Rowand. Too funny. They held San Diego to 1 for 5 in the final 3 minutes and didnt put them on the free throw line once, which is amazing because they were over the limit and already put them there for 32 free throws. Hell of a comeback, even if it is against a WCC team that was predicted to be 7th. This team can score, if they finally can get back a bit of their floorburn U identity they could do some damage -

QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 19, 2009 -> 02:06 PM) I like the part where once again it wasn't as ISU fan who said U of I was 5th best in the state, or even posted these rankings when they were 5th best. Everyone keeps doing things like this and sarcastically making fun of us for being ridiculous fanboys but in reality we haven't said anything out of line in this thread. Congrats on being ahead of us, both of us haven't beaten a good team yet so we can't really say whose better yet until conference play starts. edit: I'm referring to SIU being ahead of us in the last sentence. Im just funnin with you kev. SIU has lost to ISU I believe 3 out of their last 4 or maybe more than that. -

If both of the Freemans(especially Tony) continue to be hampered by injuries, the Salukis will have a tough year ahead of them. If they could get past that, they could put up a nice run in the MVC this year. -

QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 17, 2009 -> 02:32 PM) I was wondering why the ISU fanboys hadn't posted in a little while. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/columns/...&id=4755711 -
QUOTE (beck72 @ Dec 19, 2009 -> 04:55 AM) Hamilton and Quentin have similar question marks about health. The question is would the sox trade one risk for another risk? Would the Rangers? I dont see where he is indicating the Sox should trade Quentin for Hamilton. The question is, why would the Rangers trade a guy who has already shown the talent behind the potential, and is cheap, and is under team control for a while? It makes no sense, Hamilton would only be available for a good haul, and I dont think the Sox would want to give up that haul.

QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Dec 18, 2009 -> 02:36 PM) Well then my friend, you're wrong. It's well-documented that Vince has been trying to get Bret in for years. Hell, it's obvious they've been building to this, teasing this, in storylines for months. News stories broke about how the Screwjob at Breaking Point was motivated, in part, by giving WWE an easy tie-in for Bret Hart later. Long before TNA announced its stunt. The screwjob has been talked about since it happened. And Vince actually said he would never work for WWE again after Hart spit on him then punched him in the face. That doesnt make Critic wrong, and it certainly doesnt make you right. The motivation for this to happen is 100 percent TNA monday night, despite what you think is right

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 17, 2009 -> 07:34 PM) Yikes, when did this board become the moral center of the world? Steve, I agree with you 99.9%. I wouldn't WISH death upon him, but i'm certainly not going to sit back and reflect on a "loss" society just suffered. Clean the gene pool of people like this I say. I love when people try to spin this "tragedy." If he was in the midst of attempting to kill someone, and got shot, would we all be saying "oh what a terrible tragedy! oh whoa is me! He was TRYING to turn his life around!" The fact is this guy was a waste of flesh, was a complete thug his entire 26 year life, STILL got paid millions and millions to play an f'n game, and (in all likelihood) was killed being a complete moron while attempting domestic violence. Where is the tragedy exactly? If Steve get's the douchiest post of the year, Chris Henry get's a Darwin Award. And how has no one commented on his girlfriends myspace post?! WTF is that?! How long does it take to type that out? post 17

QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 16, 2009 -> 12:43 PM) Who cares if Pods was out of baseball last May? The rest of the way he played every day and all he did was get hits. Once these guys take the field in April, there's a good chance you'll be wishing we had Pods over Pierre, who is no Rickey Henderson. Hopefully slap hitter Pierre will have a good year. Ozzie got his speed guy. Let's see if it improves our offense. Obviously Pods' bad baserunning has made him evil. That was maddening the times he f***ed up, but I doubt we'll be all happy about Juan all season long. His defense was was s*** too. Pierre may have a noodle arm(as does pods), but he is actually a competent outfielder. Really, its a wash. Having one or the other doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things, and Im not going to be wishing we had Pods at any time next year, truthfully. -
