QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 03:34 AM) Yah and didn't, a bunch of former players write to CBSSports saying how no teammates hung around James because he was a pain. Supposedly there is some voicemails coming out that Craig James left for Leach and his assistants If these voicemails come out, Craig James is screwed. Bigtime. I cannot imagine how he can keep his job with ESPN after showing that poor of judgement

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 02:36 PM) IMO, Goldberg was a major factor in ruining WCW. I know he boosted their ratings, but after a while (for me, it was very early in his run) he just got stale and repetitive. He had no talent whatsoever, but the crowds ate up his squashes. I hated it. Yeah I agree, at the end it was pretty lame. Once the streak officially ended, he wasnt much of a bigtime hype anymore, and then he had like 3 injuries that kept him out for long periods of time. Combine that with everyone being in the NWO and the matches completely sucking, and WCW started swirling down the toilet at an accelerated rate

I keep hearing Goldbergs name being thrown around. I highly doubt that happens, im pretty sure the WWE ruined him for wrestling, and he wasnt much into it anyways. He couldnt stand being anything but a face, he always wanted a squash match, a storyline that favored him. I just dont see those conditions being met for him in TNA

Major earthquake strikes Haiti
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 11:09 AM) That sounds great on paper, except if you go in without a plan in a situation like this you could cause food riots, looting, and all kinds of other problems. When you are dealing with something the scope of what we are talking about, it has to take a large contingent working in unison to keep order over a process that could very easily deteriorate because of the sheer desperation of the people who are trying to get help. Not to mention that every prisoner in the P-O-P prison escaped. All 4000 of them

QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 11:19 AM) I finally saw Extract and have to say I was very disappointed. I wasn't expecting another Office Space from Mike Judge, but I was expecting better than what it was. i agree. It really dragged and could of been much funnier BTW, saw District 9 last night and loved it.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 10:31 AM) Honestly, i think the Spider-man reboot is something that Joss Whedon needs to get his hands on. It's almost the perfect fit for his writing style and might get him some play with the public at large. I think Joss Whedon is normally the type of guy who likes to direct his own work, but I agree with you I think he would make a good director for Spidey

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 09:36 AM) Soto lost 37 in the pounds in the offseason, and the Cubs are supposedly "ecstatic." http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...,0,124387.story I mean, why wouldn't they be? When a guy whose minor league power numbers suddenly spike and then dramatically plummet loses tons of weight, it can only be a good thing, right? Well if you quit smoking pot then you dont retain 40 extra pounds.....I guess

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 09:20 AM) Well, at least the former Real World SD cast member was good eye candy in Dragonball. So strange and sad to see a movie with two very talented performers, Emily Rossum and Chow Yun Fat, ridiculously underutilized. I think the strange thing is that they decided to be in the movie. They had to of known after looking at the script that it was going to be ridiculously bad, and it isnt as if those two needed a payday

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 02:09 AM) Dragonball Z is based on a manga/anime and there is plenty of material there to make a good movie. Also, the Book of Eli was an absolutely horrible movie. Yeah, thats true, the movie still sucked

The DH Quandry
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 07:34 AM) How does anyone know Delgado can play a position at this point? Supposedly he's not moving around so well in Winter Ball. Delgado was terrific in 2008, but he wasn't even hitting .230 on July 1 that year, and was only another bad week or two from being released before he heated up. I'd prefer Thome, you know what you're going to get, and even if Delgado can play the field, its firstbase or bust. Paulie is capable of playing there most of the time. I don't see the big advantage Delgado brings over Thome other than what was stated earlier, he's someone new. This was only based on like 1 week of playing the field. They are easing him into it. He is still hitting the ball, I believe he is hitting .304 with a home run http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2010/01/blue...in-delgado.html http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...tent_id=7911240

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jan 15, 2010 -> 10:56 PM) Personally, I loved the Silent Hill adaption. Both as someone who enjoys the video game series and horror movies in general. Although this example is far from the norm. That was another one I had heard was a good adaptation, forgot about that. The fighting games are a lost cause. There just isnt enough substance to do anything with them. Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Dragon Ball Z, now Tekken. Crap Another name for the Sinestro character, Mark Strong

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 15, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) I've seen it as well. I don't think they'll ever learn that video games can't adapt into movies. The Resident Evil movies, and even Max Payne a little bit, are profitable fun flicks. Everything else, ugh. And some of it doesnt make sense, the story is built in, you just add a little dialogue. Im waiting for the horrible effort that will be the Halo movie

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 15, 2010 -> 05:33 PM) Then why does everyone turn it down? ND has had to bring in their 4th or 5th choice both of the last two times the spot opened up. Timing, and PR. It seems like they always botch the handling of the hire. The press is announcing the hiring of the coach when the coach is merely interviewing(Stoops). And really, how could they compete with what Florida had to offer Meyer at this point? The money wasnt enough to make him come, all of the kids at Florida are Urban Meyers, all he does is win. Why would he leave that situation to jump into the frying pan?
