  1. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 15, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) I'm still taking recruits for my World of Warcraft private server. Play for free! x2 the gold and item drops new post-blizzard content WoW Wednesday nights. The new truck(Tacoma I think) commercial with WOW is hilarious, some great quotes
  2. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 15, 2008 -> 12:14 PM) Like most of North's interviews. I agree. North likes to blindside people he interviews then act like he doesnt know why they are upset. He also talks like he lives in a bubble where the people he interviews cannot hear what he says about them on a daily basis
  3. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jan 15, 2008 -> 10:22 AM) What did they go over? North said Pax talked with Arn Tellem and Ben Wallace about firing Skiles, Paxson denied it North said Reinsdorf talked with Tellem and Wallace about Skiles, Paxson said he was not informed of this meeting North came out and said Ben Wallace was a troublemaker and a bad signing, Pax pretty much took it. Pax continued to talk abotu the team dynamic in reference to Noah being disciplined by the team, North continued to compare business situations to the team disciplining Noah (If Terry boers was suspended, then we all got together and made sure he was suspended for an additional day....) It was pretty tense throughout the interview. Plenty of Giardiniera to go around
  4. Anyone listen to Mike North interview John Paxson this morning? It was uncomfortable to listen to, Paxson was squirming and North was assuming. It could have easily ended in a shouting match, but Pax kept his cool
  5. QUOTE(smalls2598 @ Jan 15, 2008 -> 09:50 AM) Did anyone else find it awkward that JR and the King weren't talking during the time Orton and Hardy were laying there? I'm sure the audio just went out, but in the back of my head, I was fearing that something really did go wrong, which is why they were not saying anything. nah, i think it was part of the act I think that Orton rolled out of the way when all of the refs gathered around him after he was tossed over the stage, and some sort of mat was placed where Hardy landed, and when hardy landed he lifted his back legs and Orton stuck his legs underneath to make it look like Hardy landed on Orton. The sound that Hardy made when he landed was really flat, like he landed square on his back. If he had landed on Ortons legs where he supposedly landed, Orton would have two broken legs. BTW, that crowd in Mobile was frickin awful.
  6. QUOTE(IowaSoxFan @ Jan 15, 2008 -> 08:27 AM) OK how bout Fields, Richar and Konerko to the Angels for Kendrick, Figgins, Rivera and Santana Dye, Crede and McDougal to the Giants for Jonathan Sanchez, Fred Lewis, and Eugenio Velez CF Figgins SS Cabrera 1B Swisher DH Thome LF Rivera 2B Kendrick C Pierzynski RF Quentin 3B Uribe SP Buerhle SP Vazquez SP Conteras SP Danks SP Floyd/Santana/Sanchez Deal Crede AND Fields, then stick Uribe at 3rd? Haha, no
  7. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 09:35 PM) Funny we should have this conversation today, actually. ESPN has announced plans to broadcast Major League Gaming, aka Smash Bros. Melee and Halo matches. I am all for competitive gaming, but I found watching that Madden Nation show on ESPN to be boring and a complete waste of time. I dont know that the "MLG" appeals to me that much
  8. The thread title looks like the HBO Saturday Night Fight of the Week
  9. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) Yeah. Don't care if it was on a big mat. You have to hit that perfectly. It was a nice bait and switch job. I bet the only people that could see it were the people on the very side of the stage
  10. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 02:37 PM) I could have sworn I read the same story as Brian. I think it was mostly due to the TNA rumors circulating when the Big Show left, but I dont think there was any validity to the Big Show being unhappy with WWE Here is the press release, I got it on Inside Pro Wrestling He seemed ok with the situation, just wanted to perform at his highest level and injuries were preventing this. If he had problems with the WWE, I dont think he would have mentioned working in a WWE movie
  11. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) ALright. I can understand liking a game... but one of the best ever made? A fighting game starring nintendo celebrities? It might be a fun party game, but "best ever made" really isn't fair to games that produce a great storyline, incredible graphics, great sound... you get what I'm saying. I'll stop making fun of Super Smash Bros. now, obviously enough people like it that my judgement doesn't really matter. But one of the best games ever I shall not accept! How about "One of the most popular Nintendo series ever made"? Because I believe that to be very true And earlier, I wasnt saying that i liked the Smash bros series, I was saying I like the Pikmin series. However, I will understand your assessment for either game

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) Says you! Drake and Josh is comedic gold in comparison!!! LMAO QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 12:12 PM) looking for the obligatory boob shot, then... "comedy" cannot be the answer to "why did I rent this?" A+

QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 10:18 AM) Netflix update: Watched AP Naked Mile, much funnier than Beta House. Isnt that like saying "Zooey 101 is so much better than Drake and Josh" (This will probably only be funny to parents of 5-10 year old daughters like myself" )
  14. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 11:12 AM) I was confident after Rivers and LT went down bc i believe if NIU alum Michael Turner... hell, i even belive in Billy Volek. On paper those are probably the two best backups in the game. but still... thats two big losses and to beat indy on the road was a defining game for the chargers. assuming they get LT and Rivers back... an upset is brewing in foxboro. book it. this sounds similar to
  15. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 10:55 AM) Yeah, if you're 10 years old. Seriously. Steve, i could care less what you think of the game, I happen to like it.
  16. I dont mind all of this marketing deception though. At least it creates a buzz about the movie and makes me interested in it, as opposed to knowing the entire plot and what the bad guy looks like before I walk in the theater. And watching internet guys break down the 5 milliseconds of the trailer where the monster destroys a building in the background is pretty cool too, there are a lot of different ideas based on a small smoky frame between buildings
  17. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 09:27 AM) im sure playing on turf will enhance his chances of staying healthy meh, it seems as if Rolen could play on down feathers and he would injure his shoulder. Oh well, thats the Blue Jays problem now.
  18. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 08:27 AM) As kyyle can also back me on, Playground on the Wii is also insanely fun. Word of warning though, tetherball is probably the most physically exhausting game on the Wii. My arm still hurts two days later. I dont think I have enjoyed paper airplane flying, track car racing, dodgeball, tetherball, wallyball and kicks this much since I was 6. And the game makes you want to be a kid
  19. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 11:10 PM) The Ain't It Cool News guy Harry Knowles really liked the early screening he saw. A lot. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35236 Harry kept talking about making a Godzilla movie, interesting
  20. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) Would you care to know some of the info that I know? Yes, I do want to know some of this info. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) I really thought for some reason that it was going to be a fake monster, like something someone was imagining or something. But i've seen a picture of the "monster" from the movie, so who knows. where is the picture? url? This guy thinks that the creature will be the same as the american version of Godzilla(godawful movie with Matthew Broderick), only not called Godzilla.
  21. QUOTE(JFields27 @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 04:22 PM) I know this idea looks very bleak with Benson, but the Bears should really look into Julius Jones to be a Chicago Bear. He's a Free Agent after this postseason and after Barber got the start this week He was very mad with the decision. We have had his brother so why not get him heh. Seriously though, He will be 27 going into the season next year and I think he is a great back. For having to share his carries with Barber, He has excelled particularly with his 1000 yard year last season. In 2005 with only 13 games played, with 257 attempts, rushed for 993. In 2006 16 games played, 10 more attempts with 267, rushed for 1084(and this was the first year with Barber). Now this season it has been a complete favor over Barber getting probably, and this is a guess probably 60-62% of most plays. Basically what I am saying is I gave Benson a chance last season to shine with no TJ here, but he did not take advantage of his opportunities and decided to be a mope. Benson signed a 5 year 35 mil contact in 05, but the contract total is obviously a lot more and I think the backend of the deal is loaded more so I see getting rid of him will be hard. Angelo said he will have to fight for his job this year so lets bring in Jones let him battle with Benson then pull a Jack Del Rio and cut Benson. In theory I would love this, but I doubt you could convince JJ to share carries with Benson the way his brother was forced to. JJ is pretty much of a clone of TJ, the offense worked at its best with TJ and Benson performing.
  22. QUOTE(rowand's rowdies @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 04:07 PM) ya, i love the patriot act, and the internet being regulated. can't wait to be arrested for talking about illegal activities (non terrorist) on my cell phone and over the internet. maybe there can be a pop up saying "you've been arrested". also, anyone who thinks we shouldn't pull out of Iraq immediatly, talk to (1) a current or recently former member of the military (who supports Ron much more than anyone else) ( ) and (2) go enlist to make sure we leave the "right way". I'm sure they will take you, no matter what age. I'm sure the never will be born children and grandchildren and so on of the US military members who will die before we finally leave thank you for your thoughts into why we should not leave right now. And my theory on who should be President, IF NOTHING ELSE, is that it should be the MOST EXPERIENCED (check) and MOST KNOWLEDGABLE (check) person who wants the job. Simply. Also, Alpha Dog is just trying to stir people up and refute everything just to make them mad. I do this, too. But not over the internet like a 9 year old. Just saying. return volley!
  23. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 03:39 PM) I'd have to go with David Wells. I can say one definite... Ben Wallace is my least favorite Bulls player of all time. I reserve that for John Starks
  24. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 03:03 PM) Great Blitz by SD and Merriman. Turnover on downs with 2:09 left but Indy has all TO's It seems like all of Indy's playoff games end up being decided on a 4th and goal.
