Not really tortured for fun as much as for a stolen disability check. These people are lower than pond scum, the mothers other child was 15 pounds when he was taken out of there

QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 23, 2008 -> 02:45 PM) [scene] [doorbell rings] MAN: Did someone order a pizza? WOMAN: I did. MAN: Well, here's your pizza....with extra sausage! [zipper sound] [/scene] Seems easy enough! And another Joe Francis is born

What the hell do I do?
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Mar 23, 2008 -> 11:26 AM) I've thought about hardcore porn, too. Trust me. Helped a guy write a screenplay once. It was just... weird. Ha, thats awesome, you should post the plot and script I dont know, from reading what you posted, it almost seems like web design would suit you best as to keep your creative juices flowing(ha, porn joke!) and not burn you out on writing. Thats just my opinion of course. It must feel pretty exciting to be looking forward to this though. Some big changes on the way

What the hell do I do?
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Mar 23, 2008 -> 10:57 AM) I want to write books, but I need something to pay the bills in the meantime. The appeal of Toronto is the cold weather and city. I know I can get that here in Chicago, but I'm tired of Chicago and it's retarded expensive to live here. I suggest hardcore porn. If that doesnt work, you can always be a pimp In all seriousness, what kind of job are you considering to pay the bills until your novels start flying off the bookshelves? writing for a paper? advertising? something completely different so you arent burnt out on writing all the time?

Oh crap...Miggy Cabrera agrees to 8 more years with Tigs
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2008 -> 10:33 AM) Ask the last Tiger who turned down a 7 year 140 million dollar contract if he thought that was a smart move... I wonder if Juan Gonzalez has played one years worth of games since he declined that offer from the tigers. What year was that? EDIT: Juan Gone turned down the deal in the winter of 1999, since that moment he has played in 441 of a possible 810 games, with his last at bat coming in an embarrassing 2005 where he had one AB and hurt himself.

Mark Ellis
QUOTE(GreenSox @ Mar 23, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) Ellis can't hit. The Sox don't need yet another bad offensive player. eh? Career .271 hitter, pretty decent OBP(career .340) http://www.baseball-reference.com/e/ellisma01.shtml

Joakim Noah/The NBA Draft
QUOTE(lostfan @ Mar 23, 2008 -> 01:12 AM) Hinrich makes me the maddest when he dribbles around aimlessly for 12-15 seconds before awkwardly and desperately heaving the ball up from 22 feet away and hitting the bottom right side of the backboard. Something he does at least 2-3 times a game it seems. Or when he dribbles right up to the hoop and nobody attempts to guard him, and passes up the easy layup for a pass to the top of the key, which gets picked off 85 percent of the time. Yeah, I love that move too. I especially love Hinrichs frustration fouls. You can almost guarantee that he will foul the player that picks off his lazy passes.

Official Squared Circle Thread
QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 23, 2008 -> 10:07 AM) He's just bitter that they didn't pay for all his medical bills despite the fact that he didn't get himself sufficient health insurance. His career outlived his talent by many, many, many years. His schtick became stale almost immediately. It sure seemed like TNA was holding him back when they created LAX as a vehicle for him to blabber on and on, gave him airtime every single week with them, and gave them multiple tag title runs. Agreed, Konnan definitely outlived his usefulness every stop he has made in the last 3 places he has been. The only "move" I can ever recall him doing is a back bounce off the ropes into a clothesline, and he couldnt even sell that half the time. Claiming racism is such a copout, TNA didnt hold him back

Reed Johnson
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/spring2008/n...tory?id=3307800 Is he worth taking a flyer on? Came from the Aaron Rowand school of Grindy-ish Things(i think they were college teammates, IIRC), pretty similar player except more of a corner OF. Always was tough on the Sox, but then again, bringing in guys who are always tough on the Sox doesnt always work out(cough, erstad, cough).

All three candidates had their passport info looked into
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 22, 2008 -> 10:12 AM) Green just takes away some of the fun. If you see green text, you know from the get-go that what you're reading is not serious, which takes away the surprise. I'll use green sometimes, but if it's off-the-wall ludicrous, like this, I assume people will understand. But, yes, it was sarcastic. Now, his frequent afternoon teas with bin Laden, on the other hand... I enjoy the immediate indignant reaction to obvious sarcasm though, sometimes its worth it. Kalapse is very good at that.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Mar 22, 2008 -> 09:56 AM) We'd be better off DFA'ing both Crede and Uribe by the beginning of the year then actually having them take away AB's from Fields and Ramirez. That brilliant. We would be much better off telling KW to eat 10 million dollars with no return

Official NIT Thread
QUOTE(kjshoe04 @ Mar 20, 2008 -> 11:46 PM) SIU down 5 at the half, 28-23. Im surprised they are that close. The team is a shell of itself right now, with Boyle, Mullins, and even Brandon Wood out, the Salukis are severely undermanned right now. They are going to have to start hitting some of the bunnies they are missing if they want a shot at an upset

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 9, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) Looks like the Steelers best defensive player last year James Harrison could be cut after being arrested and admitting to assault on his girlfriend. Good riddance. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 9, 2008 -> 02:17 PM) You think the Steelers will cut him? I doubt that QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 9, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) Rooney's have always stood firmly to morals. This woman abuse has become a major problem on this team as well. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3302774 I dont understand how the circumstances surrounding the situation dictate these completely different reactions. If the Steelers do not condone violence of any kind against women, why is it ok for Harrison because the reason is that they were arguing over baptizing their son? If Wilson suckerpunched his girlfriend because she didnt want to go to church on easter sunday, would that mean that wilson would remain on the team? Seems pretty hypocritical to me.

Kenny, the Dodgers are calling on line 1...
QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 20, 2008 -> 03:38 AM) Nomar could swing bat by weekend Dodgers liken microfracture in right wrist to bad bruise This is Nomar we are talking about here. The microfracture will soon lead to gangrene, and then Nomar will be out for the next two months. Who knows, this could soon turn into Gout, and then it could lead to a broken leg or dislocated neck. Dont discount anything when Nomar is involved

QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 19, 2008 -> 05:49 PM) I'm sure no one will mention it, but Anderson's speed and hustle kept this 8th inning going. I agree on the play at home. But I thought he should have scored on Pods arm

I know there are a lot of Hawk haters, but hearing him call that Thome bomb made me smile. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 19, 2008 -> 05:49 PM) Thome hits them in bunches. I would hope he would stop hitting them now for about 11 days. you would hope that he would stop?
