QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 10:55 PM) f*** this. After reading a bazillion awful reviews of MLB 2k8 online, I'm taking mine back (haven't opened it yet) and using the cash for a GTA IV pre-order. If they can't put out a worthwhile baseball game, f*** it, I hope the Sox don't suck this year! LOL, thats awesome. Taking the game back before you even opened it

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 09:51 PM) Thank you. I'm going to pick up a couple games tomorrow, probably Super Mario Galaxy and MLB Power Pros. That should hold me over for a while. Over the last 3 years or so I haven't really been into video games, hell I wouldn't be all that interested in Wii if I hadn't gotten it for free. Since my 17th birthday I've really only played 3 games frequently; SOCOM I/II (bordered on addiction for a while there), GTA San Andreas and MVP '05 so I don't have much of a preference. I can find entertainment in any well made game, it really doesn't matter what genre. I found Power Pros to be ridiculously easy, albeit it was a fun game. I started a season for the White Sox, and by the end of April I had 3 players with 40+ homeruns and the entire team batting over .450. The game is a port, so it doesnt maximize the Wiimote, its really just a jazzed up version of RBI baseball to me. But like i said, it was pretty fun. Battallion Wars is something I have been meaning to check out recently, the way it was explained to me it is sort of like Worms, a warfare game with a sense of humor. We got Rampage: total destruction and the we love it, Super Mario Galaxy is awesome on so many different levels. I have been renting a lot of games to feel out what I like. Im really looking forward to the Lego Batman and Lego Indiana Jones games that are coming out, I really liked the complete Lego Star Wars game.

March 4th Primaries
QUOTE(AngelasDaddy0427 @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 10:12 PM) Right I should just ignore it. The fact is the McCain at least had the balls to step up and say he wasn't going to play those racist games. What does Hillary do? Send out a bunch of e-mails and pictures of Obama dressed in Muslim clothing while he was on a trip to Africa for god sakes. I'm sorry but I will not support Hillary after that. At least McCain isn't a racist. No, dont ignore it. Put it in every post for the rest of the year. Then we will all see it every time you type. And if there is anyone who doesnt know by 2009, you can PM them. Maybe a Mod can provide you a list of members so you can PM anyone who missed the memo that Hilary Clinton is a racist and is getting by on the White Nationalist vote. we get it, alright. Stop repeating yourself, we have all read your rhetoric over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

QUOTE(AngelasDaddy0427 @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 09:57 PM) You have no idea the god like status Hillary has here. If she doesn't keep at least a 20 point lead I'll be shocked. She has everyone here fooled. And I will never stop believing what a racist Hillary is. You wont stop talking about it either

March 4th Primaries
QUOTE(AngelasDaddy0427 @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 08:57 PM) Ok... Well let me give you my justifications: In Texas she will carry the White Supremacist vote. That will allow her to squeak by. I live in Ohio and everyone I talk to seems to think the Clintons came down from heaven and now that they caught Barak "lying" he has no chance here. RI is too close to her territory. VT is the same as RI. QUOTE(AngelasDaddy0427 @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 07:15 PM) I'm really hoping I'm wrong about Clinton winning because she is a wolf in lambs clothing and in my opinion a closet racist (among other things). QUOTE(AngelasDaddy0427 @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 07:27 PM) Her active courting of the white nationalist vote through the Obama's a muslim lie. QUOTE(AngelasDaddy0427 @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 09:00 PM) Yep and I'd bet about half of that Hillary crowd were the White nationalists she targeted with those Obama is a muslim attacks. It sickens me. Hillary is counting on racism to win this thing. hmmmm

DEM Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 01:48 PM) Interesting article showing that even if Clinton wins ALL 16 remaining states, she probably goes to Denver behind Obama in pledged delegates. Add that to the big 50 for Obama mentioned earlier, plus the fact that Obama is so much better off in national polls against McCain... Clinton looks to be in desperate straights. what in sams heck are you talking about, angelasdaddy said Obama is giving up after Texas, that is a fact

Singleton Out, Stone In
my one problem with Farmer, and it is a HUGE problem, is his tendency to try and create and continue inside jokes that really arent funny. Chris never wanted to go along with them, it was painfully obvious. I suspect that Stone will lay the smackdown on what he feels is and is not appropriate

Nine Inch nails just released a free download album called "Ghosts I-IV", it is purely instrumental. You can get the 9 track download for free, if you pay 5 bucks you get a bunch of remixes, 10 bucks gets you even more remixes, and then there are some 75 and 300 dollar packages that come with signed cds and stuff. they released this yesterday without making any noise about it, and the site still went down because the site traffic was triple of what they anticipated.

Heroes in a Half-Shell
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 09:56 PM) I liked Donatello. He always had the best weapon out of any of the Turtles. Who wants to use nun-chuks, when you have that large stick to use against your enemies. Who wants 2 big sticks when you can have 2 big muthaf****** swords as your weapons? Rafaels weapons seemed like the least helpful, at least to me. Back to your regularly scheduled bashing of drinkers and nondrinkers with no gray area in between

Official 2007-08 College Basketball Thread
QUOTE(kjshoe04 @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 05:55 PM) I was thinking that if Creighton/Bradley were to beat ISU in the Finals, then I could easily see 3 teams. If ISU were to make it to the Arch Madness finals, I don't see any way they could leave them out. I don't think SIU really has any chance outside of winning the whole thing. Any thoughts on MVC Player of the year? Someone from Drake? I think it will be Josh Young or Emmenecker. Although I would love to see it go to Eldridge. I think Josh Young has had it locked up for a long time

QUOTE(kjshoe04 @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 04:54 PM) Lunardi finally has ISU solidly IN this week, not on the last four in, SIU is also still on the next four out list. Maybe 3 bids for the Valley? SIU is going to have to do some serious damage in the Arch madness, and most likely win the thing to get into the tourney. Their jekyll and hyde nature is not good for selection time

Your official Cub predictions for '08?
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 01:06 AM) to Politte's credit (...? no idea what to call it), it is hard to throw 98 with a shoulder that's torn to hell That was part of my point towards Marmol. If he can stay healthy(keep his arm in one piece) then he should be pretty good, Politte couldnt do that and went from a hard thrower to out of the league in 2 years. The comparison was drawn between Marmol 07 and Cotts/Politte 05, and the question was asked "how could you even compare?", when in reality they were pretty close.

QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 03:02 PM) They did last year when he started off soooo slowly. Was't he injured last year as well? Not my friends that are Cubs fans. No way, they thought he was the second coming of Willie Mays, and centerfield was going to be a piece of cake
