QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jan 11, 2008 -> 08:12 AM) A few weeks ago I had heard on one of the talk shows that the Twins would prefer to deal him to the NL, just less haunting potential there. I totally agree with sending him to the NL and forgetting about him (unless there was a series against the Mets in interleague play of course), but I would love to see the Twins have to face him just once, and see all of their hitters flail around against him like everyone else.

Didnt Killings and Cena almost start brawling in an airport a while back?

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 10:08 AM) A microwave? Now I know why max power chose that name! It just hadn't dawned on me yet. A++++

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 07:27 AM) If you're 21 check out the Cellar. I'm not sure what it's like now, but the old owner was a Sox fan. Come on now, we havent been gone that long You know Formentini is still schmoozin at the end of the bar and you can bet that they smoked in that place till the last minute before the smoking ban took effect I miss that place, it was so much fun

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) duh, as much as cubs fans want, they cant make crappy trades happen. That package was about equal to Broadway, Richar, and Masset. So you are saying that the Orioles might be interested in that?

QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 12:46 PM) Good for her. I vote for best mom. Although for some reason the son's excuse about a friend leaving it there reminds me of the time Greg Brady got caught with cigs in his coat pocket. The old Michael Irvin "I hid the crackpipe in my pocket from some friends who were using it" excuse Thats a good one

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 12:56 PM) OK so, in 2007 I didn't get to play on a softball team, for the first time since college. I was not happy. My new company is based outside Chicago, so a company team is out for me (I had coached my company team previously). So here goes... who would want to put together a team to play in the spring/summer in the city? I'm talking 16" here, by the way, none of that sissy 12" crap. Or alternately, if you already have a team but may be short some players, maybe you could use a few free agents from here? I have a few people from my last company's team as well that I can round up, some being very good players. Maybe we can even get a bar to sponsor us and pay for t-shirts. If this might interest you come April/May or so, sound off in the thread. We'll see if this gets any interest. If it does, maybe we can talk about getting a team together. pfffft, forget you then

QUOTE(daa84 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 10:40 AM) chicagosports.com reported it also ... would have been a nice catch...oh well...i think that team on the north side is a serious world series contender...their offense is for real after adding roberts and fukudome...lets just hope their pitching falls apart....an injury to Z and they are in trouble though roberts 2b fukudome RF/CF lee 1b ramirez 3b soriano LF soto C Theriot SS DeRosa/Murton CF/RF not bad Phil Rogers is saying its going to be done, but they havent said it is done yet, this is the quote from the article: Gotta take those with a grain of salt (Bruce levine *cough*staked reputation*cough*)

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 10:24 AM) I figured if it were true MLBTraderumors would be all about since the guy is a Cubbie lover IIRC. And he knows andy mcphail

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 10:11 AM) Seen this on MLBtraderumors..... UPDATE, 1-9-08 at 9:22am: Roch Kubatko (via a team spokesman) and Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun talked to Andy MacPhail and report that nothing has changed since last night on the Roberts talks and no deal is done. Who to believe, orioleshangout or mlbtraderumors......

So does this list lend Kenny a little bit of credibility when the subject of trading away prospects comes up?

Rockies, Giles agree to minor league contract
Kyyle23 replied to RME JICO's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 08:21 AM) http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=Asgo...p&type=lgns Wow, that would've been nice for the Sox to pick him up, if only for a minor league contract. Hasnt Giles been less than average since drug testing became a little tougher? -
QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) Her little children never even crossed my mind as being in danger. The innocent folks walking across the parking lot to Starbucks are the ones in danger. Agreed, the entire city of Los Angeles is in danger whenever she needs gas, cigarettes, or Starbucks and needs to drive.

QUOTE(max power @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 01:09 PM) I mean like some guy who is already dead. Like lets say a baby died shortly after birth. It would probably taste pretty good, like veal. I dunno though. I've never had a meat I didn't like. Maybe people taste like crap. Its certainly possible too. I gotta say Max, I never knew you like I do now.

I remember being so excited for that show, then being soooooooooo disappointed that the characters werent even voiced by Bo, Michael, and Wayne. I stopped watching it after that

QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) that Diva segment was sooooooooooooooo dumb. what a freaking waste. At least, use the roulette wheel to give us something good. Hardy/Umaga shouldn't have been the only good thing last night. I like where they are going with William Regal's character

QUOTE(The Beast @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) That would be a HORRIBLE idea, putting Dye at first base. Have you seen him play in the outfield? When a ball is hit to his left, he is the slowest person to get it, and I doubt he can even throw a runner out anymore. Ugh, I'd rather put a mule in right field than put JD out there every day. He's a DH at best to me at this point. I just say keep Kong, and trade the "fat" of this team, such as Uribe and Crede. Sign a pitcher and then sign us up for the season. We'd be set. Wait a second, so we cannot play him at first OR in Right Field?

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 02:37 PM) You just farted in your own general direction. and she did it sarcastically, I might add

QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 02:08 PM) Yes. I have had several games of Diplomacy that went of for quite a long time. I have a friend who will never play that game with me ever again. LOL, i know people like that

Last week I introduced my Mom and Stepdad to Jenga, and we had a blast playing it with his parents and my daughter. Risk is such a fun game if you have the friends that: 1. have the time to play, and 2. Dont need to be taught how to play. Thankfully my friends fall into both categories. Balderdash is a favorite of mine as well

QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 01:23 PM) More importantly, how soon until she hurts someone else. Hopefully she is stopped before that happens. At least she cannot hurt the little ones for the time being.

QUOTE(GreenSox @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 01:16 PM) I meant the Sox played Fields in LF last year. And he's not a good fielder at 3B. But thank you for your input. We'll see what sort of a contract a mediocre hitting 3B gets. Boras has plenty of "mediocre" talent to represent, and he is very good at getting them paid

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 11:47 AM) We, as a nation, spend way too much time focusing on these pop tarts and not enough on important issues. Like the Sox. Well you, as mods, put this SLAM forum up so that we, as posters, could discuss these pop tarts and not litter the Palehose forum with it. I agree with you by the way, but I cant stop staring at trainwrecks

Britney is out and about again, starbucks, gas stations, hotels, convenience stores. How long until she seriously hurts herself?
