QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:45 PM) How many people are getting f***ed after acquiring Elmer Dessens for their fantasy squads? Is there a safe pitcher to acquire on the Royals? Ha, that is something you deserve if you put your faith in Elmer Dessens.
-
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) LOL, what happened? 13-8? Ambiorix Burgos, Elmer Dessens, and Andrew Sisco turned a 8-6 lead into a 13-8 defecit starting in the beginning of the 8th inning.
-
Andrew Sisco has been with two organizations, the Cubs and Royals. And it shows. Nothing quite like turning a 2 run lead into a 5 run defecit, lol
-
Ha! On gameday that pitch was exactly down the middle. Rodriguez got a cookie, lol

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) Anybody else having trouble with the fact that we're scoreboard watching Detroit in May?? No, but only because today is an offday and we need something to talk about.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:31 PM) Tigers have Maggs and Shelton as pinch hitters. I wonder if Tigers fans go crazy when those two are out of the lineup like people on Soxtalk do when Ozzie uses his "Sunday Lineup"?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:27 PM) I know it. Heres the stats from those losing pitchers A Harang 8 IP 5H 1 ER 9k's Santana 8 IP 4H 2ER 12k's Sabathia 8IP 6H 2ER 10k's Man, they do not fair well against good pitchers whatsoever. Thats alot of Ks

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:14 PM) Yes b****, and stop second guessing my research. LOL! I was trying to say that maybe they didnt beat Sabathia, Santana and Harang, instead maybe they jumped on the bullpens. Supporting your theory that the Tigers arent good facing decent pitchers. b****

QUOTE(bmags @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) hasselback is the most disgusting bush apologist i've ever seen... I could deal with that from her. If thats her fault, i could handle that.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) Funny that you mention it, Jose Ortiz' name came up for some reason yesterday in a conversation I was having with someone. I honestly have no idea what happened to this guy. Dye was traded the to the A's from the Rockies the same day he left KC, the A's picked up Jose Ortiz (uber bust), Mario Encarnacion (Busteroni) and Todd Belitz (Mondo huge bust). So no, Jermaine Dye has never been traded for anything of value. Keith Lockhart will disagree with you

What the hell is Sampson doing in Kuwait? -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 12:59 PM) Traded: Johnny Damon Mark Ellis Jermaine Dye Carlos Beltran Kevin Appier Received: AJ Hinch Angel Berroa Roberto Hernandez Neifi Perez Mike Wood Mark Teahen John Buck Jeff D'Amico Brad Rigby Blake Stein Not a lot of reloading going on there. The most productive trade was probably unloading Beltran but that was also the most recent so you have to atleast give Buck and Teahen a couple years to suck before proclaiming it a win. Also, Jermaine Dye for Neifie Perez (1 season w/ KC, 40 OPS+) might just be one of the most pathetic trades I've ever seen. Neifi was off to a fast start with the Rockies that year (.298 BA) and fooled KC with his Coors heavy offensive production. So sad. Thats a nice and pretty color-coded trade map you got there. Im curious what else happened with the Dye trade, because he never played in Colorado so he was obviously spun to Oakland right away. Did the Rockies recieve any value for Dye?

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 25, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) I could probably write a book about all of the cute and funny things my 2-year-old brother says and does and annoy the hell out of everyone who dares to listen, but I'll spare everyone and just share this since it applies to the board... His new favorite thing to say to make me smile is "You can put it on the board...Yes!" (Ok, sometimes it'll just come out as "put in on the board, yes," but for the most part it's right on.) He'll also get a laugh out of saying "go cubs" to make me say "Noo!" since he knows I don't like it. Alright, I'm done being corny for now... I found that my daughter was at her most irresistable between 2 1/2 and 3 years old. It was something about her complete innocence and her learning curve shooting way up at the same time. Of course, she was steamrolling through the "terrible twos" like nobodies business, but at the same time I didnt really care because she was so DAMN CUTE!

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 25, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) Um, it's an act. What is an act? Mariotti being great on ATH? or Mariotti being a Moron on ATH?

QUOTE(bmags @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:09 AM) i can think of a billion reasons to refuse to perform on the view. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ May 25, 2006 -> 06:39 AM) I would only perform on the View if it was the theme song live. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 25, 2006 -> 09:05 AM) perform what and on who? QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 25, 2006 -> 09:11 AM) The only reason I can think of to perform on the View is the fact that Elisabeth Hasselbach is on the show. Oooooh you guys are too funny. I know there are reasons that we wouldnt go on the View. But I am just curious why a chick band like the Dixie Chicks would refuse this. And on top of that, they pissed off the hostesses of the view while rejecting it, so there must have been something said. Are any of the View hostesses outspoken Bush supporters? Not that 99% of Soxtalk would know the answer to that question...

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) I still have no idea what Prior's injury is exactly? All I hear is vague s*** like: Shoulder soreness, or tenderness in his arm, or a tight elbow. WTF is wrong with him? Thats the million dollar question, my friend. If you find the answer to that, then you become the Man.
