I crossed at Buffalo also and didnt need any birth certificate, only an ID and to answer questions correctly.
  4. This morning I decided to call the local post office from my former address to find out why I havent recieved mail for about a week and a half after I moved. So I called 411 directory assistance, a nice lady answers and asks "City and Listing?", I say "Rolling Meadows, IL, and US Postal office", a computerized click and a number is repeated to me"1-800-275-2777". I hang up the phone, and call the number. A recorded womans voice answers "Thank you for choosing Pilgrim Telephone. Pilgrim advertising will be heard after the recording. " a small click "Are you feeling horny?" *click*, I hang up the phone. Laughing to myself, I call 411 again, thinking I just misheard the recording and dialed the wrong 800 number by mistake. Same rigamarole, and the recording comes up again "The number is 1-800-275-2777". WTF? So I hang up and call 411 one more time, and this time before I could get to the automated voice telling me the number for my listing, I tell the lady on the phone what had just happened to me. She tells me that I have to talk to her supervisor so she can report the incident, I say ok and she transfers my call. The phone rings about 15 times before I hang up, and I call 411 AGAIN and this time, the recording answers "The number is 1-800-275-8777" I wonder how many people were wrongly given a number for phone sex?
  5. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 12:11 PM) Gross, B-dubs is overrated in the wing category. You want really great wings in chicago. Birds Nest on southport has bar none the best tasting wings ive ever had. I agree. My co-workers used to drag me into that place to get boneless wings on Thursdays. Absolutely disgusting, its like eating 95 percent bread with 5 percent meat, and all of their sauces taste the same. Disgusting. As for getting wings, I make my own. I havent really found any resteraunt that has blown me away, and I can make wings that taste just the same, whats the point in spending the extra money.
  6. Depends. Where did you find these "wonderful flavored wings" where you are from?
  7. Did anyone catch the update on channel 7news last night? Jim Rose reported that Kerry Wood showed up unexpectedly to camp yesterday and had a small throwing session, one day after surgery. Oh yeah, and Larry Rothschild has changed his stance, but no one really noticed. He was saying at the beginning of ST that Mark Prior was healthy, and his only setback was in december when he got sick. Last night he said "We hope the program we have him on will have him ready for Opening Day". Why cant this team be forthright like every other team in the league? Why is it so tough for them to admit the guys they have are hurt? Everyone is going to find out anyways, what is the point in hiding it?
  8. Hmmm, I wonder where all these facts sprung up from.
  9. QUOTE(SS Gload @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 06:37 PM) I know it won't happen, but the bears should make an attempt to get Culpepper. Despite his woes last year, he can be a playmaker, and be a steal of a deal if obtained for a reasonable price. Now that he is coming off a major injury, his stock might have dropped, but I don't really want to deal with more qb injuries than we already have. The chances of Minnesota trading their probowl quarterback to a division rival are slim to none, and slim just left town.
  10. QUOTE(MarlinFan84 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) Wow I got my facts a tad mixed up. I wasn't discrediting Webber at all, mainly saying I'm happy with Lowery. Well, you kinda were because you were insinuating that he inherited a great team. I just think you got Painter and Weber mixed up. No big deal, I just have a ton of respect for what Weber was able to accomplish and what he did for us in the dawg pound at the time. He was a tremendously cool guy, I got called into his office a few times and he was really cool about getting T-shirts made for the dawg pound and tickets to the MVC tourney. If there was no Bruce Weber, SIU wouldnt be sitting on 5 straight NCAA bids.
  11. QUOTE(MarlinFan84 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) Illini fans are cool, I cant stand the bandwagoners though. You can have Webber, I'll take Lowery. Webber inherited a great team, came in the middle of the Brooks/Hairston regime. Ummm, No. Webber came in without Brooks and Hairston, he recruited those two. In fact, his first job was to convince Kent Williams to play for him because Williams initially signed his LOI with Rich Herrin before he got fired. Weber built SIU to the point it is at right now, and he still works behind the scenes in the development of SIU and Chris Lowery as a head coach. Matt Painter inherited a great team from Bruce Weber, and Chris Lowery inherited a great team from Painter. Weber took a senior castoff from a BCS team(Rolen Roberts) a junior power forward that wasnt recruited at all(Jermaine Dearman), an undersized shooting guard converted to a point guard(Kent Williams), and two sophomores (Hairston and Brooks) and rode them all the way to the sweet 16. Weber built this program brick by brick, because Rich Herrin got lazy and decided he didnt want to leave Southern Illinois to recruit. Dont discredit the man.
  12. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 12:54 PM) Separating "magic" from reality is sad? Sounds like you could use som Theodoric of York. Well, to me it is kind of exciting to think that it is possible that there is another humanoid race existing close to where we are(Bigfoot, Yeti, etc.), or a species of plesiosaur inhabiting various lakes around the World(Nessie, Champ, Okgeechobee(sp?)), or a species of dinosaur inhabiting the deep jungles of the Congo. A few times, the myth came true with species like the giant squid finally caught on camera or bodies washing up, and the coelycanth being caught. But for every good story, another three are pretty much dispelled. It just takes a little fun out of it when you realize that these somewhat-possible mysteries when I was a kid are gone, i guess. Im such a nerd about that kind of stuff anyways, it fascinates me.
  13. This will be what, Angelo's third time at trying to acquire this guy?
  14. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) The sox are gonna be good. I s*** you not. LMAO. good post.
  15. That is an interesting theory for one point in time. But Nessie sightings have been going on since biblical times according to National Geographic and Discovery Channel, and I dont think Asian elephants were crisscrossing the UK with a circus at that time. There are many explanations for Nessie though, Seals, schools of eels, driftwood, hoaxes, etc. An Elephant could have fed many myths for a period of time. The longer we go without any proof or more sightings, the more likely that this is nothing though. Its kind of sad to see cryptozoology proved wrong time and time again by the advancement of modern day science. Its like they are lifting any sort of "magic" from reality.
  16. LOL, the bottom line on ESPN reads: "Roger Clemens tells (various news outlet) that he is retiring after the World Baseball Classic (bottom line rolls over) But he may change his mind" GMAFB!
  17. QUOTE(MarlinFan84 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 08:57 AM) I say this with no shame...I have a man crush on Bryan Mullins, he makes Brooks leaving stomachable...if he comes out the gate as a scorer, I honestly believe the Salukis can run the table in the MVC next year, and thats a bold statement. I dont think he has a problem with scoring other than he prefers to pass it. He does need to work on his outside shot and his confidence in it, but if he starts contributing 8-13 points every game, the Salukis will be REAL damn good next year. And I have nothing but confidence in him to elevate his game. Honest to god, when he hit that acrobatic shot against UNI and twisted his ankle at the same time, I just had a feeling that the Salukis would win the tournament. Confidence is a somethign that Shaw and Mullins are developing right now, and if they come into the NCAA tournament playing the same way they played in the MVC tournament, the Salukis will win a game or two.
  18. Victoria, not Victorious At last Saturday's Cal men's hoops season finale versus USC, Bears boosters pulled a prank that straddles the fuzzy gray line between "Crap-Yer-Pants Hilarious" and "Inexcusably Cruel." When USC guard Gabe Pruitt took his first trip to the free throw line early in the game, the Cal student section hollered in unison: "VIC-TOR-IA, VIC-TOR-IA," and then yelled out a telephone number. Pruitt glanced back at the crowd in horror and bewilderment before clanking his free throws. It turns out that a couple of mischeivous little bastards from the Cal student section had been IM'ing with Pruitt all week under the identity of "Victoria," a fictional UCLA hottie, and Pruitt was eagerly anticipating a date with this nubile co-ed back in Westwood after the game. In preparation for the date, Pruitt had handed over his digits, which the Cal student section recited back to him in unison. Pruitt, a 79% free throw shooter this season, missed both shots after the "VIC-TOR-IA" chants began, and hit only three out of 13 shots the whole game. Cal beat USC by 11 for the season sweep, in part due to the Cal fans' devious psy-ops. Blog #1 Blog #2 I cant find any stories that arent from blogs, but this is hilarious
  19. This is becoming Favre-like in how it is dragging out. Could somebody please stop this ride? Its boring and I want off.....
  20. That thing will be great with some butter....
  21. I am very excited for the future of the Saluki program. They have some red-shirted kids who will help tremendously next year(Jordan Armstrong and Chris Cornelius) and prep star Joshua Bone coming out of Brentwood Academy in Tennessee. Chris Lowery had a very tough start to the season with Nick Rogers leaving the team because of homesickness and Mike Dale leaving the team because of completely selfish reasons, but he righted that ship and still has them pointed in the right direction. The more attention the program gets, the better.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 08:27 AM) Do Malik Allen and Othella Harrington always have to shoot the ball whenevr they get it? Yes, I think they both have developed a bit of the Jason Caffey Black hole syndrome.
  23. Yeah, Eddie lost a good portion of his tongue to cancer. And he lost a good portion of his mind to the whole "Van halen doesnt need their lead singers" situation. Either way he looks like he has been through hell.
  24. LMAO, I love that first line: "On your way to College?....." You just know a girl needs a new set before she goes off to school, lol. "With a Low APR and Bigger Breasts, you will be ready for anything!" I think I just found a new sig,
  25. QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 05:17 PM) see the reason for my ipod was to consolidate all my music...i'm running outta gigs now Im the same way QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) It's for people who devour music and own a ton of it. And that is all me
