QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 08:04 AM) Well they had Keary Colbert, but he had the sophomore slump. But Keyshawn's a perfect #2 WR for em. Big physical guy, will catch over the middle, and an excellent run blocker for a WR. Just don't forget to give him the DAMN ball. I hope he doesnt have a problem with Steve Smith getting the damn ball, because Smith will get the ball a hell of a lot more than Keyshaun will.

QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) yeah i can't imagine with these gas prices anyone making money. gas was the least of my worries. I was always worried about brakes, shocks, suspension, tires(both popped and just plain worn out), bad radiator, 2 stolen radios, 150 stolen cds, 1 stolen amp, and broken oil reservoir seals. Oh, and then there was the time my timing chain broke. Then the gas prices shot through the roof. Safe to say Im glad I dont do that anymore.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) Really? I have seen my roommates high as a kite give double for their pizza. One time it was $2 for each flight of stairs. (we Lived on the 4th floor.) Those guys were the exception to the rule. There are scattered big tippers(and by big, I dont mean double the price of the pizza. I mean 15 percent or better) around the town, but a majority of the customers are not big tippers, if they are tippers at all.

Now someone has to convince the Wachowski brothers not to make a sequel.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 07:34 PM) You forgot to mention how well potheads tip. No, I didnt forget anything. College kids dont tip, pot or not. Some of them dont know to tip, others dont care to tip, and even more like to flaunt how much money is in their wallet and stiff you completely. The worst is when i would see some of the jerk non-tippers out when I wasnt working, and they would recognize me and say hi or smile at me. f*** that. I had no problem being rude to people who were rude to me.

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) Haha, and the Patriots just keep getting weaker.. muwhahahaha They say that every year. And every year they reload. As long as Belichek is coaching and Brady is the QB, I wont count them out.

QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 08:12 PM) It's quite hard to put into words exactly why people smoke weed or drink booze, but, putting this very simply, it makes certain social situations much more enjoyable than while sober. Whether buzzed or drunk, some situations become much more enjoyable for some odd reason. While I avoid getting hammered like I did some times my freshman year, I don't see the harm of having some drinks in moderation every now and then. For people who are really wound up, two drinks can make a conversation a lot looser and more enjoyable. As for pot, I personally don't see why people would do it. The feeling while high is nice, but it just doesn't do it for me. I guess I should just be like everyone else in Valpo and begin to start shooting up heroin. Yeah! I worked at a Pizza place in college, and for some reason smoking coke off of aluminum foil(poor mans crack) became very popular for a good portion of the people I worked with. It was really hard to watch some of my friends get sucked into that vortex. It was watching them do that, and the subsequent reactions, that really made me decide that I will never have any part of coke.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 03:19 PM) News conference scheduled for 6pm Central tonight (3/21) at Hilton Coliseum, Ames, Iowa, to announce new coach (from Alumni news). According to some inside sources, there is one other MVC coach besides McDermott heading to more green...err greener pastures. -

How did this thread go from an ethnic take on "hollaback girls" to recommendations for porn sites?

QUOTE(TLAK @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 08:39 AM) The only question with Cotts was could he handle the big time. In ST 2004 there was a long debate here on whether he would be better served building up his confidence as a regular starter in Charlotte. Everone liked his stuff but the question was would he get tense and fold up? ---like he did in the famous 2003 Yankee Stadium start when Jerry Manuel basically threw to the dogs and he looked awful. Ozzie kept him on the big team in 04 and never put him in a bad match up, building him up slowly while getting important outs for the team. Then getting him the hell out of there before something bad could happen. As 2004 unfolded and 2005 began you could just watch him grow. Now people don't even think about 'deer in the headlights' and he is used like the proven major leaguer he has become. I think his performance in the playoffs/World Series extinguished any doubt in my mind.

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) It makes more sense for the Red Sox than it does for the Reds. How so? The reds NEED pitching, that has been obvious since they put all of their chips on Ken Griffey Jr. The Red Sox do not NEED Wily Mo Pena's offense, in fact, after watching last years playoffs and the way last year played out for the Red Sox, they need and have needed bullpen help. Riske, Seanez and Tavarez just dont make me think that Boston has a good enough bullpen to mask any problems that could arrive if a starter goes down. Plus, you dont know if Foulke is ever going to be the same or if he will even be good enough to run out there at all with those knee injections he is getting. To me, Boston once again added more offense where it wasnt needed.

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 05:35 PM) Sadly... they aren't. Seasoned, and into coke also. That s*** just makes no sense to me. I've got better things to spend my hard earned $$ on. Never even dabbled in coke. For something that costs that much for that little bit and with such a shortly sustained effect, it never even was mildly interesting to me. Plus, I had to have my nose cauterized when I was in high school because of chronic bloody noses, and I had no interest in burning up my sinuses ever again for any reason whatsoever.

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 05:34 PM) When i see someone messing around with a drunk girl ( like if the girl has no f***ing clue what is going on) i put a stop to it. Have a couple guys around here that get too touchy feeling when they are drinking... You must be referring to "that" girl who sits in the recliner with her eyes half-open, half-closed with a stupid grin on her face while everyone stands around. We had to sit my roomate next to those chicks to make sure they didnt get molested or worse during parties. Sometimes the scum that drifts into college parties is unbelievable.

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 05:31 PM) Never smoked pot. But I've gotten "contact high" many times - good old Jimmy Buffet concerts But I never hung around with people who did it, so it wasn't an issue in my teens. One time, in my late 20's which is strangely when I all of a sudden knew a ton of people who did it, Jim and I were at a house warming party and a group was outside smoking. The host walks in from getting stoned, walks right into her kitchen wall, falls backwards, hit her head on the corner of her granite counter top and 5 hours and 31 stitches later was nursing a bad headache. That was enough for me to stick to my guns and not "smoke". pwnt noob!!!!!
