QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 12:42 PM) Tyrus Thomas' profile on draftexpress.com http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=511 I love the projection of the WORST case NBA senario for Thomas, it's so true. Damn, this guy would have Thomas going numero uno if the draft happened right now. Of course, with the way he has performed in the tournament this year, there is good reason for it. Thomas has been really awesome. The only thing this guy "criticizes" is his lack of bulk, which can be put on .

QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) I'm with you on that. I actually loved Wedding Crashers in spite of Vince Vaughan. I just don't find him funny. I don't know what it is, but everytime I see him in a movie I just don't laugh at him. I mean there were some great lines in Wedding Crashers that Vince said, but I don't think it was him who made em funny, I think it was the writing. You can definately put me down on the anti-Vince Vaughan bandwagon. And on top of that he tried to creepily hit on my sister a few months back, not a plus in my book. Really? Jennifer Aniston must not have been in town at the moment. :rolly

IIRC, his fastball used to top out at 91-93. That pretty much made his splitter look like it fell off the table. Now he runs it up there around 83-85 and he is just meat. It is a sad situation, but the guy obviously feels like he has a little left and wants to make an effort to make a team. I cannot fault him for that. He isnt going to make the team though(I hope).

I saw this on www.chicagosports.com, I think I might go out and get one this year

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 11:39 AM) I liked him in that drama/thriller where he played the step dad to John Travlota's son. Domestic Disturbance. I never saw that one, gonna have to check it out I was checking Vince Vaughns movie resume' and saw this: Wake Up Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie Has anyone ever heard of or seen this film? You would think that this would have made a few waves considering the popularity of Anchorman.

My all-time favorite Vince Vaughn character is in the film "Made" with Jon Favreau(who also directed it). Vince Vaughns character is just someone who you simultaneously want to laugh at and just strangle. He is just an outright idiot. And Favreau's character is funny because he keeps getting dragged into Vince Vaughns problems because they are best friends. Funny movie.

LMAO, I saw this on www.entensity.net this morning

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) You're right Krush, it's mainly bulls*** marketing. But if you're one of those people who uses debit cards a ton, this is a subtle way to save yourself some scratch. Banks are learning that Toasters and Calendars don't cut it anymore. -- I don't know why I capitalized those two words, but I did, so there. Because capitalism rules

I went to ESPN.com, and found this strange assessment by Peter Gammons. I couldnt read the whole article because I am not an insider, but this paragraph caught my attention: Followed closely by another thought provoking statement , "Would the All-Star laden US team beat any team in the Japanese League? Of course it would, Peter Gammons writes in his Insider Blog." Does Peter Gammons have nothing to write about one week before the 2006 season starts so that he has to make up scenarios that will never happen? Has he been hanging out with Bobby Valentine over the winter? This crap is ridiculous. I swear, the writers here on Soxtalk blow these guys out of the water. I would say some of them should submit a resume' to ESPN, but I would be afraid that they would be assimilated into the borg, so to speak.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) Tomorrow afternoon I am picking up the 2-DVD set "The Arsenal Of Megadeth". Tomorrow night I shall RAWK!!!!! You know, at one time I think Megadeth was really on a roll with "Symphony of Destruction" and "Sweating Bullets", and then they just faded faster than a hypercolor t-shirt(ha, im dating myself). Dave Mustain had some good things going on, I wonder what happened. Youthanasia just wasnt up to par after Countdown to Extinction.

Mark Grace says Sosa's bulk had to be artificial
Kyyle23 replied to SSH2005's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(whitesoxmurph @ Mar 25, 2006 -> 11:39 AM) From time to time, just to satisfy the twisted sadistic side of my personality, I visit northsidebaseball.com. It's great reading all the Cub fans whining about this and that, but this morning is priceless. They are all ripping apart Mark Grace for his Sosa article, refusing to acknowledge that there "Sammy" was juicing. One guy even ripped Grace's talent. ( Most hits in the 90's, good clutch hitter) I have always liked Grace even though he wore that hideous blue uniform, thankfully he left the Northside in time to win a Title with Arizona. This stuff is CLASSIC! I never thought Cubs fans would defend Sammy Sosa over Mark Grace. LOL, a 30 Homerun jump in one year is very typical of a power hitter. followed by: Confusing times on the Northside these days.... -
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) Because they signed Dougie Mient-alphabet. He has quite the future ahead of him!!! The Royals are retarded. They keep signing washed-up bums instead of playing and adding younger players. LMAO, points for humor and originality.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 05:01 PM) I'm predicting a 10 page thread on how Hermanson is done and should retire immediately. Well, if Ozzie cant rely on him then I am fairly sure he wont pitch him. Ozzie has never been one to make sure everyone gets in their regular work in the bullpen, and he goes with the hot hand a lot. Hermanson hasnt had a good spring by any stretch though, and already having lower back problems is just not good. Those kinds of injuries arent going to heal at all and are probably going to get worse over the course of the season.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 04:18 PM) Haha, yeah. I'm married, so I have a pretty good excuse. I looooove me some nude photos. Don't ask me why, but I was trying to find out what the cast members of X-Files are up to nowadays, and I discoverd a gang of nude Skully photos. She probably got some good offers seeing as how people just don't have enough red bush in their lives. She posed nude? Scully, you little tramp you..... I am kind of surprised, i thought she was more of a recluse-type

I had a friend who lived in Texas, and he said a DUI is almost a rite of passage to kids down there. TIFWIW, I didnt say it. This is pretty bulls*** though. I mean, if you cant be drunk in a bar, where can you be drunk?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 08:04 AM) Well they had Keary Colbert, but he had the sophomore slump. But Keyshawn's a perfect #2 WR for em. Big physical guy, will catch over the middle, and an excellent run blocker for a WR. Just don't forget to give him the DAMN ball. I hope he doesnt have a problem with Steve Smith getting the damn ball, because Smith will get the ball a hell of a lot more than Keyshaun will.
