QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 05:24 PM) I cannot agree with you more on that point. I have been drunk to the point where I didnt know, nor did I remember what I did. Ask any stoner if he ever blacked out before from smoking weed, and then ask an alcoholic if he ever blacked out before from drinking. We both know the answers to those questions. And Whitesoxin', when I say to each their own I am saying that you shouldnt let your friends pressure you into something you dont feel is right. If you are curious and the opportunity presents itself, im sure you will know what you should do in that situation. I never drank a drop of alcohol until I went to college, never smoked until I was past 21.

To be honest with you, I feel much safer being stoned than I do being drunk. I feel bad for your friend who died while driving stoned, but I have to admit that is the first I have ever heard of something like that.

Why the need to find out why others do it? To each their own.

am i the only one who looks at this trade and thinks "Meh, not really a big deal on either side."? Arroyo got figured out last year, and Pena has been figured out for a while. He strikes out a whole bunch and when he hits, he does some damage. But knowing that Pena couldnt crack the starting lineup with the Reds speaks volumes for me.

"Where would he play?"

I watched "A History of Violence" last night, and i dont think I have been that dissapointed in a long time. Basically, that movie sucked balls if you ask me. The acting was awful, the plot REALLY REALLY sucked(how can you kill Ed Harris after 10 minutes of screen time? That guy was the only good thing the movie had going. ). Overall, I give it * out of ****. Probably late and been discussed, but I dont care.

a damn shame

With the restricted pitch counts in the WBC, I wouldnt think that this would be any different from Ayala pitching in Spring Training. Something was wrong with the guys arm and it finally popped, which is too bad, but I dont think the blame can be placed entirely on the WBC. JMO

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 12:30 PM) Some people should just not respond. where did that quote come from? edit:N/M, I see it That guy is a douche. Him and LindaS and some other cubs trolls run that messageboard into the ground anytime something good about the Sox is discussed

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 11:38 AM) He's always commenting on the size of their breasts...it is rather creepy. I always wondered how fathers feel about having uber-hot girls for their daughters. It is creepy that her father said something, but he is right. His daughters have big breasts.

I think that Bledsoe will be better with TO catching his passes. Bledsoe loves to throw it deep, and TO loves to go deep, it is pretty much a good match. TO may hate on his quarterbacks, but you cannot deny that he makes them much better because of how available he is at all times. If the Cowboys line stays healthy, I can see a 11-13 win campaign for the 'Boys next year.

So does this mean that Longshots prediction in my sig is wrong?(green implied )

If the person who wrote the letter is not involved in the case whatsoever, he/she should be completely ashamed of him/herself. This isnt Big Brother coming down on the man. This is one man protecting the youth and innocence of some child yet to be sexually assaulted by the criminal with the computer. There has been a whole lot of Sexual Predator stings around the world lately, and I think that it is probably the best thing that law enforcement has done in a long time. It is just a sickening thought, all together, of what these POS's are doing.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 12:12 AM) Only posted it because I want Illini fans to know I'm picking Washington. Plus they are acting as if its a guaranteed win. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 12:22 AM) Who's they? QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 12:24 AM) I'm no where near an Illini fan but I'll put myself on that list. There, I guaranteed Illinois will make the sweet 16. Ha. You are now "They". lol -
Irishman such as myself rejoice! But we still wonder why Casmir Pulaski is worth a day off and good ole saint patty isnt

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) i don't know, eight months seems like a long time to heal up i would agree with you if it wasnt the navicular bone. IIRC, this is the bone that allows your ankle to pivot and move around. The stresses that Thomas consistently puts on his feet when hitting and running(walking) the bases arent conducive to letting that bone heal, especially since he is such a large man. If this were something like breaking a metacarpal in his foot, or even his tibula or fibula, I would think that 8 months would be a very long time for healing. But we have seen the past 3 years, and know how much it has taken out of Thomas. I dont want him to leave the game like this, but I just dont see his body allowing him to continue. He just doesnt recover like he used to.

QUOTE(V for Venereal @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) You read my mind. Or rather, a tip of it, anyway. wtf? He doesnt have a member number or anything? Is that a hacker post?

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 11:38 PM) That would be the best case scenario. I think everybody pretty much knows about Aldridge. But, man, if we could get Brewer, too? That would be an A+++ draft. Brewer is a defensive monster. So what would everyones ideal draft pair be? Aldridge and Brewer? Aldridge and Morrison? Morrison and Brewer?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 10:49 AM) me too. My building also seems to have the laziest most non-existant security ever. In light of this thread, that thought must be very comforting to you

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 10:00 AM) I believe in aliens, and I'm not a Scientologist. I'm not saying that they have been here, but with as large as space is, it's crazy to think there isn't life out there someplace else. I am with you. That is actually the exact wording I have used many times. If you look at each star in the sky and think about how many planets could be surrounding each star, the possibility that life exists elsewhere just has to go up. And who knows if they have been here or not, I think that is really inconsequential. If we are so smart and havent been able to reach out and find another planet that could inhabit life, what makes us think that other races havent had the same pitfalls?

QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 10:06 AM) I agree, but there ain't no way I believe she used the word 'politicize.' Wayyyy too big of a word for her. her dad is her manager. Im sure there are many quotes attributed to her that she couldnt sound out if she tried.
