  1. Shocked to see Avisail missed 37 games injured. SHOCKED I TELL YOU
  2. I think the first play of the second half when Mack just took Cousins heart(And the ball) was my favorite
  3. Elway gotta go, Broncos just have been abysmal
  4. Personal reasons is not something I want to read
  5. The cubs weren't a money making machine in the 60s 70s 80s 90s like you think they were. The teams weren't revenue sharing like they do now, it wasn't a blank check just for having a franchise. i know you are done arguing this but goddamn, saying a team that won a World Series and five straight playoff appearances was a failure is just wrong
  6. I mean, this is wrong on so many levels BECAUSE of the Cubs history. Think about this Greg, they hadn't won a World Series in over 100 years, they tanked and then they won.....proving that it worked. They also went to the playoffs for 5 straight years. That is a huge success despite what happened this year, but as tony already said the bad money spent on the team after the rebuild is what hurt them. seriously one of your worst takes on soxtalk, I have to reiterate.
  7. It kind of seemed like the third down where they faked the run and Rodgers rolled out and ended up throwing it way out of bounds was a run for Rodgers but the Eagles ran up at him and covered the hole
  8. Never thought I would see a Rodgers GB home game where they got within the 10 yard line twice in the 4th quarter and didn't score
  9. Quite possibly your worst opinion on this site
  10. Seems like the AP situation is mega weird for all involved. Still productive but not the game changer he used to be. Players like him, coaching staff wants to turn the page
  11. well not every team has a elite passer on the bench waiting to take over so they have to take a chance on a journeyman until they find the guy. I know this is strange to you
  12. Kyyle23 replied to soxfan49's topic in SLaM
Hopefully nobody has booked travel through Thomas Cooke, because you are screwed if you did
  13. You are only as good as your personnel
  14. Nah, him being cut has a lot more to do with a long string of actions than one singular fuck up.
  15. Not defending his lineup choices in how he structured the lineups, but it was damn near impossible for him to keep the same lineup all season due to injuries and players being moved in and out
  16. Over Fuller and Long? Disagree on that
  17. Poppy.......have you ever observed the Yankees and Dodgers in your life
  18. Bears worked out Shane Ray and Noah Spence this week so they might be interested. Hard to believe those guys are just guys on the street now
  19. THE FIRST PLAYER ACCUSATION ?
  20. Maybe you are correct, but I remember a lot of the exact same arguments 20 years ago. Rockies started using humidors and they changed the mud on the ball and blamed the cork from the previous season crop of cork trees and the stitches on the ball and the compression machines that created the ball. just everything and then a reporter saw Andro in McGuires locker
  21. I keep reading about the ball being juiced, beat writers talk about it, National writers talk about it, players talk about it. Last time they blamed the equipment, MLB went before Congress shortly afterwards and Roger Clemens couldn't drink enough water, McGuire looked like he wanted to cry, Rafael Palmeiro shook his finger at everyone, and Sammy Sosa forgot how to speak English. just curious what you guys think about the current explosion of homeruns this season
  22. I know Juicers are likely to be sprinkled everywhere, we had Castillo last year get popped. Sox have one of the lower amounts of team home run totals iirc so at least it isn't where you look at the twins and wonder how the entire lineup has eclipsed 20 homeruns each and 5 guys with 30+
  23. Oh no sir, it is the -BALL- that is juiced or so they keep saying. I remember last time the ball was juiced. It was when McGuire and Sosa and Bonds broke records. Certainly it is the ball now, also.
