I have said it before, if Jim Thome-Esque players were readily available of course I would want one, but that’s a HOF player, not just some guy you can pick up off the street and plug him in. He is hitting .236, he has 92 Ks in 78 games and is being platooned to protect him, and you are head over heels in love because of your magical “balanced lineup”. Come on Lillian, you have to look deeper at why this guy hasn’t been pushed harder on the past. He has limits. In regards to Urban, I don’t see how he survives this. He both failed to report it and then lied about it multiple times. That doesn’t even address if he actively tried to cover things up, which I am sure they are trying to find out.

They aren’t nearly as bad as they were when it all started to be installed. We we aren’t gonna agree with the rules, they are enforced and ignored seemingly randomly and unevenly at best. The only thing we can ask for is that they don’t take over the entire games

I think the preseason is gonna be a mess with the helmet rule, but once the season starts it will scale back and will not be so visible. It seems like this happens with every rule change (the process of the catch, targeting, DB holding rules). It is always a panic nightmare in the preseason
