  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 22, 2015 -> 03:56 PM) On the other hand, seven years is a long time to wait for things to turn around with no or little reward as a fan. Casual fans, they fall to the wayside. Just look at SoxTalk and WSI from 2005-2008 and compare with today. There's been the same 40% or higher dropoff as evidenced by the attendance downtrend. Not rocket science. If you're born a White Sox fan...and hardwired for it, there's never a thought of changing allegiances, any more than you change your biological family. Yea this is wrong
  2. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 17, 2015 -> 10:21 PM) Some times when you turn a corner you get hit by a bus.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 21, 2015 -> 03:16 PM) Nelson Cruz, hitting a .351 that obviously won't stand up for 4 more months...probably the best signing of the off-season, not that it's helping Mariners lead their division because of Cano's pedestrian stats and troubles in the starting rotation (Iwakuma/Walker). Nah, he is due to pee in a cup sometime soon
  4. QUOTE (shysocks @ May 21, 2015 -> 01:25 PM) You had a golden opportunity to bring out the old pokemon Belisario and you whiffed
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 21, 2015 -> 12:21 PM) The other thing to remember is that any team taking Thibs is doing the Bulls a favor by preventing the Bulls from paying 2 coaches at once. The only way they pay 2 coaches at once is if Thibs doesnt coach next season, so the bulls are in pretty good shape unless Thibs goes into a cave
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 21, 2015 -> 11:42 AM) I'm sorry...that was on the ump. Harper shouldn't have been tossed. The ump and Williams couldn't finish their argument and then the ump got short with Harper, who had already gotten back in the box and then stepped out because of the continued back and forth between the ump and williams. that was 50/50 doucheness, everyone gets blame
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 21, 2015 -> 10:18 AM) No leverage hurts. Everyone knows he's gone. I wonder if Thibs will mess with them and take a year off while the Bulls are paying him. I think that goes against every strand of Thibs DNA
  8. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 20, 2015 -> 10:29 PM) Doesn't matter, Harper still shouldn't of gotten thrown out in the 3rd inning because he didn't get in the box quick enough. Thats not the only reason he was thrown out. It was just the last thing he did
  9. QUOTE (farmteam @ May 20, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) What I didn't quite understand was that it seemed like cops knew this was gonna happen. A lot of cops were already there before the actual violence started. So on one hand, why the hell didn't Twin Peaks do anything (I saw one of the sergeants on site absolutely blasted both the franchise and corporate for not working with police), and on the other, weren't the innocent patrons a little concerned when they saw that many cops? The whole situation is really weird. I know I would have left if 170 bikers showed up and started jawing at each other
  10. Lets get this split and get back on a little roll
  11. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 20, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) Bryce Harper got thrown out for not getting in the box quick enough after he didn't like a strike call. Wow. Talk about a total ump show Him and Williams we're talking s*** to the ump before that about the first strike call. That was just the final straw for the umpire
  12. @CSNHayes: #WhiteSox for 5/20: Eaton 8, Cabrera 7, Abreu 3, LaRoche DH, Garcia 9, Gillaspie 5, Ramirez 6, Flowers 2, Sanchez 3. Rodon v. Marcum.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2015 -> 02:12 PM) Weren't there like 150 bikers there? How many "Innocent bystanders" can fit into that facility? They were inside and outside. They all showed up at the same time and the restaurant was running like normal, there were people there.
  14. Crazy how a shootout and brawl broke out in the restaurant, and not one innocent bystander got hurt.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 20, 2015 -> 11:42 AM) Arya's storyline in the book is probably one of my favorite parts. Its funny how books touch people in different ways. We now know this is the point where the show completely goes off in its own direction, which really only bothers the people who have read the books. I think its hilarious people are up in arms about a rape in the show, they've only shown like 1% of the rape that occurs in the book. the outcry was much lower when Jamie basically raped Cersei next to their dead son, i thought that was much worse than Sansa.
  16. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 20, 2015 -> 08:34 AM) Adam LaRoche is far from the biggest problem with this offense. His getting on base at a pretty respectable clip and the power will come around as he's a notoriously slow starter. I'd be willing to bet that come the end of the year his numbers will be every bit as good as Morales's, Lind's or Ethier's. You know though, shame on the Sox for not finding Ted Williams in the offseason.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 19, 2015 -> 05:15 PM) With 2 years on the contract, I figure they'd probably take their time to "Trade" him. Is it even possible to trade players yet? Does that have to wait until after the Finals? If the team doesn't work hard to make it sound like "Keeping Thibs is all but certain" then why would someone offer up a draft pick for him? I don't think players can be traded until the next NBA season officially starts.
  18. QUOTE (Special K @ May 19, 2015 -> 08:55 AM) So you don't think he should have bunted? i dont see how you got that from what i said
  19. SELL THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. QUOTE (Special K @ May 19, 2015 -> 08:41 AM) No it's Robin's fault for not taking him out and bunting to move the runners over to second and third with one out in an extra inning game. That's about as basic of a managerial decision as it can get. Leaving Lexi in obviously didn't work out too well, unless you thought the infield pop up was a good result. Removing your starting short stop just to bunt is not basic, it is ridiculous. If Robin wanted a bunt, ask Alexei to bunt.
  21. Wellington Castillo traded to Seattle back to the reporting of Bryants GPA and interest in cars
  22. Q has it dialed in against the Indians in his career, I hope that continues
