  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 11:44 AM) Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 10m10 minutes ago It will be nine years since I wrote this story in July. Nine years since Bud Selig said he would fix blackout issues: http://yhoo.it/Lnjadd Buds reply to pretty much everything
  2. If this happened in Detroit would the singing hot dog vendor be allowed to sing? (im pretty sure he has been muzzled, but the question needed to be asked)
  3. Rongey just called out the Orioles on Facebook for this entire mess. Said they refused using the nationals park out of pettiness. He also said the Sox have no say in the matter, it was entirely the Orioles decision. The MLB could override the Orioles but chose not to.
  4. QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 03:30 PM) So, let me get this straight; The Orioles will make the concession to the Rays, to travel to Tampa, instead of playing that entire series in Baltimore, as originally scheduled. However, they expect the Sox to come back and play a double header in Baltimore, on a day that would have been an off day. Seems the Rays will not be inconvenienced in the least. They didn't have to make a trip for nothing, have their entire schedule disrupted, or suffer any other negative consequences. However, the Sox just have to bend over backwards to make it all work for Baltimore. Maybe whoever said; "The Sox are just bending over, to get shafted", or something to that effect, was right. EAST COAST BIAS FTW!
  5. Im interested in how this is going to sound on the radio. We are probably going to hear Coaches and Players cheering pretty loudly
  6. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 02:05 PM) Because the Sox got bent over by the league and took it. I know this is f***ed up, but lets not pretend that there was anything they could do but bend over and take it.
  7. Quinarvy has had quite a long stretch of game threads with interrupted games.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 11:27 AM) Phil Rogers actually did this with the Youkilis trade. It's the only time I can remember where it actually comes to fruition though. He has called a few obvious ones, like Matt Thornton to Boston
  9. This is unacceptable! WHO DOESNT KNOW HOW TO SPELL POSTPONED!?? IT IS NOT POST-PONNED!!!
  10. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 10:09 AM) Washington DC is literally RIGHT THERE. IMO Angelos wants no part of using anything that the Nationals have.
  11. i have watched the video of the mom whooping her sons ass after catching him rioting, like 5 times.
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 08:26 AM) everything ok? It must be his turn on the baby feeding schedule lol
  13. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 08:04 AM) Out of active posters, who has been banned the most days? probably Shipps

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 08:01 AM) So how exactly is using Gavin Floyd as one counterexample (and Ptac would tear it apart because the original problem was the screws inserted and the bone/muscle tearing apart, not TJ or ligament replacement surgery) supposed to prove anything? Many are arguing that Josh Hamilton for Danks would be a very good deal for the Sox, and, looking at his stats from 2012 on...there's very little to indicate that would be a good risk performance-wise, not to mention the likelihood of another relapse. I know that an argument with you hits no return when you start using other posters supposed arguments as your proof. im done here
  15. This isnt a genius observation or anything, but you can usually tell within a few shots that Dunleavy is going to be worthwhile or worthless on the court. Last night right off the bat you could tell he wasnt going to be on the stat sheet

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 07:31 AM) You do when he's a fifth starter who is overpaid and underproductive. It's very simple....that $26 million will go a long ways in fixing the problem of Danks' early departure. And our fifth starter would/could be Noesi, it doesn't have to be Danks. Heck, it could be Erik Johnson, Beck or Frankie Montas, too. Finally, after all these articles about TJ surgery since last year....you really believe that Homer Bailey's going to be out TWO FULL SEASONS? When has that ever happened in the last 10-15 years? Why would teams take Hoffman, Fedde, Matuella, Kirby and Aiken so high? Caulfield, he hasnt even GOTTEN HIS SURGERY YET.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 07:17 AM) Homer Bailey is about to have TJ surgery too Then cross him off the list QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 07:19 AM) Yes, I know. That's the only way this trade makes SOME sense for both teams. The White Sox don't absolutely need Danks to compete, whereas the Reds definitely need another starting pitcher. no, this makes zero sense. You dont trade your fifth starter for a guy who might play in 2016
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 09:50 PM) I would have never guessed that a few years after the trade that Iglesias would be a better hitter than Avi. i would never have guessed that this conclusion could be drawn after both of them missed basically the entire year last year
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 08:37 PM) Loaiza made the all-star team in 2004 after his crazy-good season, but wasn't nearly as good. It kind of reminds me of that. That is a great comp
  20. Kluber had an amazing season last year, but you look at his minor league statistics and it is a huge anomaly. Some guys figure it out of course, but I would say he is probably experiencing a correction
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 03:52 PM) That's because I watched 2 pitchers break in 2012 when their innings limits were reached and that was a key part of that team collapsing. GET OUT THE BUBBLE WRAP RICK! SOMEONE GOT HURT ONCE!
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 03:41 PM) I continue to fundamentally disagree with this assessment. thats because you are afraid of every pitcher breaking when a inning limit is reached

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 12:53 PM) When Reek was staring at the bodies at the beginning of this episode, were those symbolic of his dad and sister or was it just him remember when he killed the fake Stark boys? i think he also feels a lot of guilt. Chances are he knew those people that Ramsay killed, he spent a lot of time with the Starks
  24. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 01:18 PM) So cryptic. Not cryptic at all. The riots stemming from the police brutality case are affecting the fans, they made people stay in the park for a while the other night
