  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 8, 2014 -> 02:49 PM) We saw it come together in a year with the '08 Celtics. Of course, that was the best defensive team of all-time. The whole "never been to the playoffs" stuff is overrated and overblown. Face it, mex. You hate LeBron. You spent 4 years trashing, crying and whining about the Heat and now it's on to the Cavs. Come on man, there was tons of playoff experience on that 08 celtics team.
  2. Lebron with 11 assists last night, must have just said f*** it I'm doing this now
  3. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 08:37 PM) Mirotic is pretty disappointing Disagree. He has shown some flashes of being a really good player, he just doesn't understand the NBA game yet
  4. I don't necessarily want Gattis to be honest. I just think your assessment of Gattis's value in Sox prospects is excessive. Sorry that the other options bore you though, if they may be more realistic. There are more than just 6 prospects in the Sox system
  5. Well, the Bulls are doing what they are supposed to be doing now
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 06:52 PM) Gattis, as mentioned above, would have had the fourth best dh performance in the al. The Braves will look to trade Heyward and upton as both will be lost as free agents. The Braves like evan's bat ... And prefer another catcher defensively. They also feel his bat will play even bigger not having to catch regularly. You tell me who the white sox would have to give up for a proven young cost-controlled player if it's not Anderson? Why don't you tell me why Anderson is the only player you feel will be traded for anyone. Because he is your default prospect in any trade right now Gattis is he is a man without a position on that team. Trading a promising prospect like Anderson isn't a great idea

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 12:14 PM) I don't get the love for this franchise. I was not at all impressed by the first one. I love both movies(and the Toy Story movies). But i am a kid at heart The HtTyD movies are beautiful though, especially in 3D
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 02:58 PM) A lot of pipe tobaccos smell really good... you dont have to argue with me about that, i love the cherry flavored tobacco smoke smell. Its the people who got tobacco products banned from businesses you have to argue with lol
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 02:52 PM) Or we could just start a movement to bring back pipes...because they are so much cooler agreed, but everyone complains about the smoke
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 02:48 PM) That would be MUCH cooler I would have that if i vaped. awesome slippers too
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 02:24 PM) What the hell is vape? Inhaling flavored vapors. think e-cigs
  12. QUOTE (scs787 @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 01:32 PM) The potential is there for it to get bad, but it could also be a good thing. Hamilton seemed to be fine in Texas with Washington. That could of course be irrelevant or coincidental, and I could also be missing something, but I'd think having a guy who's been there around would be helpful. But ya, I can't deny the risk. Pretty sure he had two relapses in texas. I remember one specifically where he was photographed taking shots off of some girl and Kinsler had to go get him
  13. QUOTE (scs787 @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 09:56 AM) Worth noting Gattis had a somewhat Josh Hamilton-esque path to the big leagues where he dealt with a lot of issues. Some have called him a late bloomer here and that's not really the case. From 2006-2010 he quit baseball, despite being viewed as a player who'd be picked in the top 10 rounds. From what I've read he's certainly a changed man and I'd certainly welcome him here. Hell maybe even getting Gattis and Hamilton together might help both of em as they both have been through a lot of the same stuff. Im not really down with sticking two players with high profile substance abuse issues in the same locker room. Especially considering Hamilton seems to relapse here and there
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 09:35 AM) Is there any proof or any legit sources yet? Or are we all still taking the word of Incarcerated Bob? TMZ is on it now. how funny is it that they have actually become a legitimate source of breaking ugly sports stories
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 08:31 AM) Significantly less than Jay Cutler. Significantly more than Tom Brady who cares?
  16. seriously, is anyone dumber than Jameis Winston in college football?
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 05:17 AM) Wouldn't have been so bad if there was no wind, but yikes. Ball was going nowhere and we only won by 8. Semifinals and finals next week but we're missing our pitcher and another one of our best players so will be tough. We already won the money but want to finish the undefeated season and not want the team that beats us to think they deserved it. So you win money for the season, but there is no tournament/playoffs money? thats pretty ridiculous

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 05:54 PM) Toy Story 4 2017. Yes! Gonna be a big year for animation, How to Train Your Dragon 3 is pegged for 2017 as well.
  19. Joe i just imagined you with a monacle and red velvet smoking jacket smoking a sherlock holmes pipe
  20. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 08:15 AM) They gave Andy Dalton how much money? all of the money.
  21. even if Silver grows a spine and fines Pop he wont care, he will laugh and the Spurs will probably pay his fine for him, and he will move on and try and win a championship.
  22. QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 10:50 PM) wonder how many Bengal fans are happy with that Dalton contract right now The Bengals look pretty bad tonite, completely
  23. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 08:20 PM) Then you have the uncertainty of the NL transition to AL...McCann was a flop. That doesn't mean Gattis will automatically end up like Dunn or McCann or any number of other examples, but there's been a pretty consistent trend of reduced performance when switching leagues (especially the first year, NL to AL). Obviously, it didn't end up bothering Eaton too much, as a counterexample. Some players can adjust much more quickly. The question is would Hahn be willing to give up Tim Anderson for Gattis? Or wouldn't it be a better use of resources to find a DH on the free agent market, someone between Adam Lind and Victor Martinez. McCann was a flop, therefore Gattis will be also? Tim Anderson? You are all over the place
