  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 06:54 AM) It will be a huge surprise if the White Sox aren't picked 4th or 5th by every preseason publication. Not easy to do with one of the five best pitchers in baseball and one of the ten best hitters. Even when the White Sox were "pretty good" in 2012, they couldn't handle Jeremy Guthrie and Bruce Chen. The White Sox DO match up a lot better with the Giants, as we all know. The Giants are hardly a juggernaut either, except they just win when it counts. If the White Sox don't have a payroll over $90 million, your last sentence will be prophetic. I would say the team that has won 3 of the last 5 World Series is a bit more of a juggernaut than the team that got hot in September.
  2. Caulfield has now puiged the royals. They have just become a monstrous juggernaut that cannot be overcome no matter how the Sox try. Pack it up White Sox, 2015 is over
  3. Did everyone see McBuckets dunk the ball. He did that
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 08:51 PM) They will when Melo comes out. Up 24 points I don't think they should be that concerned about him right now. The Bulls are grinding them under their boots. Go with Niko, Snell and McBuckets again
  5. Just take out dunleavy. He is hurting my eyes
  6. QUOTE (daa84 @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 07:39 PM) Bulls depth already evident The Knicks have no answer for this bench. And Thibs is destroying that weakness
  7. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 05:15 PM) Maddon opted out of his contract so it's not tampering unless they can prove the Cubs talked to him before last week. Word is that Theo was in Florida the week before Maddon opted out
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 05:09 PM) My heart says that's moronic, my brain kind of agrees that's a good decision. He's a good player, but if this seasons ends with them still needing a 2nd scorer at the 2 you gotta replace him. We know what you heart and brain say, but what about your sauces
  9. i wouldnt freak out if the Sox ended up with Rasmus, but I could see that guy as someone that this board would absolutely loathe after a few months

speaking of bad remakes/reboots, I just read a plot synopsis of Terminator: Genisys http://screenrant.com/terminator-5-genisys...-images-script/ aaaaand i am not interested
  11. didnt see it mentioned, but just wanted to say that it is a damn shame that Randle broke his leg last night
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 12:22 PM) What a joke this franchise is: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colum...028-column.html That is absurd and just ridiculous. Again, Arians had an actual clue (as did the other top candidates) of reality where the Bears clearly didn't and they ended up hiring the one coach, desperate enough for a position, and out of touch of the reality that was the friendship between Rod and Lovie. The fact that Emery and others were so surprised just tells you how out of touch they were with the reality of the situation. Again, I say, a bunch of clowns, and for those that no my posting history, I'd like to think I'm pretty even keel by and large. Im not going to disagree with you that they have made mistakes, but this is friend of a friend of a guy information. Interesting that this just now breaks when things arent going so well for the bears, a year and a half after the Trestman hire.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 10:54 AM) He went back in the game! come on, how many players pop fingers during a game and shake it off, you act like he broke his foot and they dragged him back out and forced him to play. It swelled after the game, and they ruled him out for the rest of the preseason the next day. And then you want to cite Luol Deng like its the same thing. Go ahead and freak out that jimmy is out for a little while if it makes you feel better.
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 10:48 AM) Granted, looks like Thibs was just bad at math here, but the Bulls medical team being horrible is not isolated to this incident. Luol Deng has nothing to do with this staff. Jimmy Butler has a painful thumb injury, and all they said about Noah was that they are going to take it easy with him because they want to make sure his knee isnt overworked, and you concluded that they have the worst medical staff. this isnt an incident QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 10:50 AM) Honestly if anything it makes me respect Rose's decision more. They cleared Jimmy to play after he sprained his thumb in a preseason game. He didnt play, he was ruled out the day after he popped his thumb.
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 10:36 AM) Day to Day, Jimmy is practicing, Game time decision, Jimmy will not play vs. Knicks, Jimmy is out 2-4 weeks. Noah - Minor knee surgery, 8-10 week recovery, Noah actually was rehabbing all summer, oops he's actually going to be affected all year by this. Deng - Flu, flu like symptoms, pneumonia....actually we almost killed him. you are really overreacting.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 10:23 AM) I honestly can't believe how Reinsdorf can have one of the best trainers in baseball, and continue to have the worst medical staff in basketball. How are they so inept? How do they consistently misunderstand the severity of injuries? I dont know how you can infer so much because they put a timetable on it. How did they misunderstand it? Because they didnt tell anyone right away what the severity was? There is no injury reports they have to administer in the preseason, he popped his thumb in a game and it isnt healing as fast as they would like.

I agree with that, but that doesnt make me look forward to a new version of friday the 13th. I think someone needs to come up with their own

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 08:31 AM) Not nearly enough horror movies. If we are currently having the golden age of comic book movies, we are going through the dark age of horror movies. Just nothing coming out, but awful ghost movies. Hopefully that changes with Trick r Treat 2, new Halloween and new Friday the 13th movies. The found footage movies like Paranormal Activity have dragged it down. The conjuring was pretty creepy, Woman in Black was ok, Mama was terrible(even though it started out good. Once the reveal happened it was awful). there is simply no creature horror movies anymore. When is the last merely decent werewolf movie? I know Universal is trying to create a monster connected universe with wolfman, mummy, frankenstein, and creature from the black lagoon, but I dont know how thats gonna go.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 07:59 AM) Like he was in...um...Thor? Yea, but that wasnt too long, and was more a punishment from Odin. Plus, Thor doesnt even know that Loki is in charge right now, and who knows where Odin is. I think Avengers 2 is gonna end badly for all

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 09:41 PM) We got another clip tonight during Agents of Shield, they gave us the "lifting the hammer" scene that was shown at comic-con. Probably on the youtubes but with this one go find it yourself I have a feeling that is going to play into the greater arc of Thors character, ie. he will not be worthy to pick it up at some point in the movie, maybe carrying over to Thor 3
  22. Just want to correct my previous post, 1.1 innings, 5 earned.
  23. 1 1/3 inning, 2 runs. Pay him all of the money, Theo
  24. They keep repeating that the Giants had 15 innings straight of no runs given up, did they honestly think that would last tonite?
