An NBA team should never lose to a team with Drew Gooden on it. These turnovers are maddening

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 11:22 PM) That's just a google result,I have no idea how long/heavy the one I'm getting is. Really? You didn't choose your bat size/weight? You are just taking what they give you? Man, the guys on my team are picky as hell -

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 10:52 PM) This thread inspired me to go buy a bat. Bought a used $300 Easton Stealth bat. Can't wait to use it, I may actually try to hit a few dingers. I haven't picked it up yet, but I am pretty sure it's this one... http://www.ebay.com/ctg/Easton-Stealth-Com...Bat-6-/77188180 28oz huh? -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 10:59 PM) I enjoy board rivalries more than I should. Balta vs. SS2k5 was a great one until they got friendly. Those two are both head strong and refuse to back down, it isn't a rivalry as much as two guys that love a good argument.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 10:34 PM) It's odd that you call me out when there are other posters who contribute to legitimate websites, not internet message boards, where your critique is missing. Are these some of the bootleg websites you love to dismiss when they don't fit your narrative? I don't call out other posters mostly because even if I disagree with them, they can back up their claim logically instead of trampling into other threads and making the same baseless claims as if they haven't been disproven or thoroughly picked apart. Your shtick is old Marty, and it smells bad, and everyone sees it for what it is.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 07:58 PM) Anybody see that cold hard stare from LeBron at MJ on that break away dunk? I didn't think 'bron had that in him. Eh, LBJ can do that all he wants. It's not like MJ is gonna come out and play him.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 03:33 PM) What can the NBA really do to him? Serious question. I'm sure there's some sort of censure option, but is there anything of actual substance? Maybe they will do the same thing that the MLB did to the McCourts, basically ice him out and force him to sell. It won't be easy though, Sterling has fought this fight many times and won

Jones still not ready for baseball activity
Kyyle23 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
A Lower back injury for a guy who throws hard like he does is not good. I'm not gonna count on him coming back this season, something is clearly wrong. -
QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 02:29 PM) ya he's toast... "why are you taking pictures with minorities?" lol really amazing his young hot girlfriend sells him out too His young hot half black/half Mexican girlfriend

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 01:15 PM) I disagree with Marty about a lot of things, a lot more things than I agree with him, but if you are going to call him out for this, you should call out 99% of the people on this board, and don't even bother reading a gamethread. There are some real doozies in that one. Last night you would have read Robin was "actively losing games" for the White Sox and Hahn need to fire him immediately for not keeping Johnson in to continue to get lit up. The statement made no sense then and even less now. I don't recall 99 percent of this board doubting Abreu, even in his bad streak. The Johnson stuff in the game thread was ridiculous though

QUOTE (balfanman @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 11:30 AM) People freak out over Balfour's reaction in the dugout afterwards but I really didn't have a problem with that. Many on this board have said at times that we want to see a player be pissed when they messed up, show some emotion. I think that I would rather have a pitcher of Balfours's talent as our closer right now over Lindstrom and I think that many on here would agree with that. That said, with his overall personality, being an ass clown and all, I really would not want him anywhere near this team. I'm not freaking out per se, I just love watching him get upset after he started a bunch of crap for no reason.

@KCJHoop: Former NBA discipline boss Stu Jackson is Tweeting that Nene should get 1-game suspension at @StuJackson32.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 11:07 AM) Kyle, this may surprise you, but I'd love nothing more than to be wrong about Abreu being the monster some on Soxtalk believe he will be. It would be a much-needed shot in the arm for this franchise. I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again. When you choose to give an opinion, it could be wrong. One thing I won't do is hide behind some bootleg stat and say "if I knew he was going to do THAT ..." Right, everyone that disagrees with you hides behind bootleg stats.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 10:12 AM) He looked so weird out there on the ice, can't believe NHL is allowing this. There was a play late in the 3rd where he had somewhat of a clear shot at a goal and the puck was passed to him from behind Crawford, and he clearly fumbled the pass and struggled just to get control of it.

QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 10:12 AM) ISO Standings as of 4/25 1. Jose Abreu .368 2. Albert Pujols .359 3. Troy Tulowitzki .338 4. Adrian Gonzalez .319 5. Michael Morse .314 2013 Final ISO Standings: 1. Chris Davis .348 2. Miguel Cabrera .288 3. Brandon Moss .267 4. Edwin Encarnacion .262 5. David Ortiz .255 His mammoth home runs to dead center are unreal, but I have a feeling there is going to be a few times this summer when he straight up pulls a fastball and will put it close to the concourse. Has anyone noticed the crowd "Oh!" When he gets a hold of one? And not just in the Cell.
