Amanda Knox found guilty again
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 24, 2014 -> 08:20 AM) So what do you think, that it was edited? I have no idea, I haven't even seen the video only read about it. Just seems incredibly odd and coincidental that the key to the evidence shows up 7 years later

White Sox Winner!!
QUOTE (chw42 @ May 23, 2014 -> 11:06 PM) If I remember correctly, Viciedo also hit a go-ahead 3 run homer off Robertson two years ago in the Bronx. The Sox have gotten to Robertson a few times in the 9th now. In Yankee stadium. I was at Buffalo Wild Wings after a softball game when that happened, the bar went nuts

GAME THREAD 5/23 - WHAT'S YOUR VECTOR, HECTOR?
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 23, 2014 -> 11:05 PM) Way to pick out that post after a huge huge win and great clutch piece of hitting by Dunn. Why not enjoy the win like I am and not pick on one single post?! GO SOX! Nice win, Mr. Dunn. Actually I came back into the thread for the first time after they lost the lead and that was the post my page was stuck on, and it made me laugh considering the circumstances.

Sale vs Samardzija
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 23, 2014 -> 06:04 PM) I'm watching SportsTalk Live and the question was who would you take for one game and then for the next 5 years. Kaplan and some other jack wagon said they would take Sale because "he is a proven super star" but take Samardzija over a career. Samardzija hasn't consistantly had a good season over his career. Maybe 2 years ago when he went 9-13 with a 3.81 era. Chris Sale has a lifetime ERA under 3 as of today. 4 years younger and on an insane team friendly contract. I wanted to reach through the TV and just smack some sense into these Cubs homers. Discuss Their larger point about taking JS was because of Sale's health questions, not career consistency. Pretty sure they all agreed Sale has better stuff

Rasmus is the perfect example of a dick tease player. You can see the talent the guy clearly has, but he just never has been able to put it together and stay healthy

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 23, 2014 -> 01:06 PM) I think you have the games mixed up. In that game, Altuve led off with a sharp single and Springer tripled after him. Fowler walked and then Castro hit the homer. Those are the 4 runs he gave up. yea fathom pointed that out to me. forgive me for confusing back to back terrible first innings

How about Danks goes.....somewhere to figure things out and Noesi/Rienzo stay. Because Danks is making Noesi look like Strasburg

GAME THREAD 5/23 - WHAT'S YOUR VECTOR, HECTOR?
QUOTE (chw42 @ May 23, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) I'm not so sure about that... The 4 runs he gave up in the first were all his fault. He would have given up more if Sierra didn't make an awesome catch in right. Gordon completely whiffed on a double play to the bag before any run scored

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 23, 2014 -> 11:07 AM) We can try to spin it all we want but he's been terrible outside his second start against the Cubs. First start he wasn't stretched out at all to be fair and died by giving up 4er and 6 baserunners in just 3.2 IP. Next start he was good. 5 IP with 6ks and 5 baserunners. 3rd start was technically a quality one but he gave up 8 hits and 3 walks in just 6 IP. Can't keep that up. 4th start was more of the same except without the luck. 8 hits, 3 walks, 6 runs 5 earned. Hope he turns it around tonight since I have first row seats. So, 2 QS and one start against the Cubs you deemed "good", and you say he is terrible?

Dunn's Future
QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ May 23, 2014 -> 09:41 AM) BTW I'm not saying the numbers aren't going to be useful but they probably shouldn't be used to try to get a complete picture of a hitter. At least not yet until the process becomes more sophisticated. Wite, Eminor3d, everyone has been saying this from the beginning. these stats are used to put the picture together, they are not the entire picture.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 23, 2014 -> 09:27 AM) Wife and I actually watched the first two last night. The second episode is better IMO. I'd give it a B+. The show looks cool, the acting seems pretty decent and I think the storyline could end up being pretty interesting. I'd give it a shot Kyle if you're at all interested in a mish-mash London horror story. Im interested, i just need to find kid free time to watch it. I started watching the first episode, and 5 minutes in, Josh Hartnett back at his trailer...... well I was like "guess kids cant be playing in the room when I watch this"

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 22, 2014 -> 09:17 PM) X-Men will be fine, from everything you read. Godzilla was terrible. The MUTO's looked like overgrown staplers with spindly legs that were bootlegged from a discarded Atlanta Falcons' NFL helmet design from a decade ago. The lead actor made Freddie Prinze, Jr., Orlando Bloom and Ryan Philippe look like Masterpiece Theatre thespians extraordinaire. I think I would actually rather watch the 1998 movie again rather than see that particular film a second time. As far as movies to be excited about in the future, try Nolan's INTERSTELLAR. Somehow I knew you would find a reason to say this. Admittedly I loved Godzilla, because I love the original(in which Godzilla appeared for exactly 17 minutes), and I honestly dont care about the human story because it is a Godzilla movie. Complaining about how a MUTO looks is hilarious when you think about what every other costume creature looked like in Godzillas history.
