  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 11:40 AM) ? still on the payroll, he would have to forgo 2 more years of checks
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 10:12 AM) I'm now on a 3-game game thread win streak. 4-1 overall. The streak lives on! Ummm, you know the White Sox lost last night, right?
  3. THREAD MERGE Hey lets give everyone a chance to make a gamethread, mmk? We all know that fathom loves making gamethreads
  4. QUOTE (ptatc @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 09:33 AM) I just had a new computer delivered and was trying to figure out what was wrong with it. I couldn't get on soxtalk so there must have been a problem with the new computer. gotta follow Soxtalk on FB and twitter so you can get the notices when things go haywire
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 09:04 AM) I would have liked him to have Lindstrom start the 9th. I would have too. My only complaint. But, it isnt like Lindstrom hasnt been prone to doing the exact same crap everyone else did last night. Still though, that was a closer spot, he should have gotten it
  6. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 08:54 AM) The umps sorta sucked last night. i was annoyed with him with Danks at first, but the pen wasnt anywhere near his weird strike zone, or a normal strike zone. I guess my only complaint last night was starting Cleto in the 9th, but everything else was just whatever. They sucked, way too many free passes, and the Sox lost because of it and also burned through a lot of pitchers.
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 08:03 AM) On the facebooks, I suggested 40 years, $1 billion. Thoughts? sweeten the deal with concubines and gold bars
  8. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 16, 2014 -> 11:59 AM) Abnormal for a regular GM is not abnormal for Jack Z. yeah, thats true.
  9. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 08:06 AM) How Robin Ventura is still manager is crazy. Last night was evidence he has no f***ing clue what he's doing. We just gave a game away. Boston wasn't hitting for s***. Tell me exactly what he could have done different to make his bullpen throw strikes. He literally used everyone, none of them were close to the zone
  10. i think it best the site was down during that bullpen performance
  11. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 12:15 AM) wha happened to the board? It done broked
  12. There were two mentions of it, one tongue in cheek. Really, its fine. edit: sorry, three whole mentions. It remains, fine.
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 16, 2014 -> 11:50 AM) (To the page one replies) Calm down people all I did was start a game thread. It really isnt that big of a deal
  14. isnt it abnormal for a GM to mention contract offer number specifics when asked about negotiations? When i first read your post, i figured the number was leaked, not that Jack Z actually said that was the declined offer in an interview.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2014 -> 09:43 AM) So AJ is on "hiatus," oh boy. I thought the title drop was weak, and her not showing up to make a run at Paige the next week made it look like she was out. Punk can pull off a walk away from WWE, he is a huge draw. AJ is nothing but Punks girlfriend, she is replaceable
  16. well, guess he isnt coming back to the Score, apparently
  17. QUOTE (buckweaver @ Apr 16, 2014 -> 08:05 AM) I'll both enjoy and forget. Because even through the strikeouts and minimal OBP, there was never the indication this guy was simply cashing a check and did not care. He always took interviews and expressed his frustrations and talked of the things he was working on to get better. No...Adam Dunn is a long way from being the scourge poster child of my lifetime's White Sox. For that, it's David Wells (worthless piece of crap both on the field and off). Other nominations (with explanations, please)? Im not talking about tarring and feathering Dunn on the way out, I just in no way shape or form would be willing to negotiate a deal with him. Wite, on the other hand, is ready to make him Player-Manager with a blank check
  18. It is amusing to see the Knicks ball out in the last three games after elimination. bmags, you were sweating serious bullets over the last two months, werent you?
  19. If he has a good season, even a great season, i will enjoy it. But I will not forget about the first 3 seasons.
  20. Boston starting to square EJ up a little bit
  21. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 15, 2014 -> 01:53 PM) I think this is to make Reigns a huge star. To be honest, I think this would be better for Ambrose. If they want Reigns to go far, IMO sticking him under the wing of Evolution makes him look like he needs help. Ambrose already has such a distinct heel quality, I could totally buy in to him turning on the Shield
  22. You have to wonder what the heck was going on with the person running that twitter feed at that time. It isnt like you can "whoops" post a picture. You have to select it, it shows you what is selected, then you post it.
  23. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 15, 2014 -> 08:34 AM) Chris Johnson is visiting the Jets today. Makes sense, they tried to engineer a trade before the Titans released him. And the NYJ is where name running backs go to die, anyways
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 15, 2014 -> 07:39 AM) So I click expecting a piece on Abreu and 2/3 of it is about Yasiel Puig. aaaaaaaaaaand this surprises you why?
  25. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 15, 2014 -> 07:09 AM) O/U on actual people in the seats: 1,000. Bundle up boys & girls im taking the under. The Sox need to work Peavy over and frustrate him tonight
