  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 20, 2013 -> 12:30 PM) Peanut! Who else? The guy is ridiculously automatic
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 20, 2013 -> 08:42 AM) Manto was the White Sox minor league hitting coordinator for 4 or 5 years before being named major league hitting coach. You are right, I looked on Wikipedia and it didn't have any of that. My bad
  3. http://m.espn.go.com/ncf/story?storyId=9854222 How hilarious is it that an Oregon coach is complaining that another team is throwing it too much? I don't care if Leach is a douche, Oregon has been runnin up the score and padding stats for a long time
  4. Prince Fielder just had the funniest dive back to third base when he got caught in a rundown. He hit the ground and slid NOWHERE
  5. Greinke Kemp and Agon had questions about their character/conduct? News to me
  6. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Oct 19, 2013 -> 02:23 PM) Three?! When do you sleep? When I can! Really though, my daughter is 13, my sons are 3 and 6 months. The daughter being older helps tremendously
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 19, 2013 -> 12:16 PM) Strep throat rules That really sucks. All three of my kids got a nasty cold that made them miserable for a few weeks but had no fever. That was fun
  8. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Oct 19, 2013 -> 12:31 PM) I can't understand why they would want to replace Dunn with a worse RH hitter. It makes absolutely no sense. Dunn still hits a lot of home runs. You can't win at the Cell without hitting a bunch of homers. Well, moving Dunn means other things are happening. It is hard right now to say that Dunn is being replaced only by Konerko because we don't see the whole picture. In a vacuum it doesn't make sense, I agree
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 09:59 PM) Obviously, it's not going to be Paulie's good friend, Jim Thome. Or Frank Thomas. Realistically, it SHOULD be an outsider to the White Sox organization for once. Manto was from outside the organization If the organization is floating the idea of Konerko returning, I think they are going to be trying to move Dunn. Having all three on the roster is a potentially disastrous idea and forces you to trust that they all remain healthy and able to come off the bench at any time. It also forces the other 2 bench spots to be extremely flexible for all positions
  10. We ended up in second place for fall season, playoff starts next week http://www.quickscores.com/Orgs/ResultsDis...LeagueID=461462
  11. I know who brought it up. And I agree with Lebron, still. Why should I believe Garnett? You think he is gonna come out and say "yea I forced a trade to a contender."? Of course he is going to say he wanted to finish his career in Minnesota, he has an image he needs to maintain. But he could see he wasn't gonna win a chip in Minnesota so of course he would go along with a trade to Boston. It's very funny to me that you are painting KG as this uber loyal guy that "just wants to play" and Ray Allen as this mercenary type that is chasing rings and just wants to stick it to Boston.
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 19, 2013 -> 08:21 AM) It's the curse of Dwight Smith, Jerome Walton, Brant Brown, Gary Scott, Bobby Hill and Kevin Orie. I do think if Epstein didn't have that Ivy League background that the expectations would be more realistic...that and the two World Series championships, it's a curse that guys like Friedman and Billy Beane have been able to escape Lmao wat
  13. Ah, Espn said it so it must be true. Bottom line, Ray did what was best for Ray, KG did why was best for KG. KG should stop losing numbers and stop b****ing about Ray.
  14. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 11:56 PM) LeBron calls out KG/Pierce for leaving Boston after they criticized Ray Allen for leaving Yes LeBron, KG and Pierce "left" Boston. They really wanted to go. They and their coach were forced out, perhaps because guys like Ray didn't want to stay I actually agree with Lebron here. Ray Allen left because he saw that there was a significant rebuild on the way in Boston, and KG and Pierce treated him like s***. One year later Rivers moves on to the Clippers and KG waives his no trade clause to get out with Pierce and they want to act like it is no big deal. Hell, KG forced his way out of Minnesota so he could chase rings, so it isn't even the first time he did it.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 03:01 PM) Never went on ours....Knocked her up too fast *shotgun cocking sound* You gonna marry that girl right now, ya hear?
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 03:23 PM) Noah already hurt. Might miss the opener. More Nazr Mohammaed. Yay. Better now than in March. Hopefully we dont get both now and in March
  17. QUOTE (OsweGo-Go Sox @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 12:42 PM) I've heard nobody say that "Abreu has a good glove at 1B." Cespedes said it
  18. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 11:51 AM) History or not, you can't scream at the pitcher literally the entire time around the bases and not expect someone to start yelling back. Whether he crossed the plate or not was irrelevant. To me, it was not unlike every other time guys start yelling at one another and the benches clear to nothing happening. The problem is this isnt the only time this season that McCann acted like that(Jose Fernandez). Whatever, you dont like it, I dont care. I want McCann, asshole or not, I just want that crap to stop. Its all good.
  19. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 11:39 AM) I don't think you guys actually saw what happened. It had nothing to do with celebration. Gomez was directly confronting the pitcher verbally. I saw exactly what happened, and I know that Gomez and Maholm had a history. Maholm has beaned Gomez 3 times in 25 at bats, and Gomez in turn is absilutely crushing him to the tune of like .480. It isnt like Gomez just randomly started talking s***. Regardless, nobody annointed the Braves or McCann as the policeman of the unwritten rules of baseball. You dont want Gomez to talk s***? Dont bean him, and dont let him beat you. Pretty simple. McCann and AJ are both assholes, that i dont dispute, but not the same way.
  20. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 11:04 AM) Gomez showed up everyone on the field and apologized because he knew what he did was wrong. Gomez is also quite the tool himself. That's exactly the player I want. Everyone around seemed to love AJ and that's the type of stuff he would do. AJ never did that stuff. He may have talked s***, but he didnt stop a player from crossing homeplate because he celebrated a homerun. AJ was an agitator, not a policeman.
  21. QUOTE (Lillian @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 09:46 AM) Hey, not that I wasn't tempted!!! Man, I would've really taken flack for that. I think Grady is retired with his playmate GF. Not that it is a bad thing
  22. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 09:40 AM) I wonder what Mr. Law analysis of this move will be.. Ask him on twitter, I bet he responds. He seems to take the bait a lot when it comes to Sox questions
